This band brought their A-game. The singer has so much charisma it’s off the charts. Total x factor. I had no idea who they were and they totally won everyone over by the first song. I hope their new music captures the spirit of their live show because they know how to rock!

I cannot express how f’ing GOOD they are live. I mean, wow. Great musicians, killer set, stage presence from ALL members dialed up to 11. They gave a stadium level performance in a tiny punk club. This band l’s motto is “Get loose” but on stage they are tighter than their booty shorts. Just friggin phenomenal. After the show, people were exiting the club, smiling and shaking their heads like, “Did we really just see that?” A couple of ladies I spoke to on the patio said, “We’re already fans. They didn’t haven’t to go all out like they did, but I’m glad they did.”

WOW WALES WOW!!! These ladies rock hard and bring it. This show was so much fun, high energy, and interactive. Lots of engagement with fans and tight instrumentation. Sarah really belts out the lyrics. I could go on and on, but I need to get to bed after this one...Many THANKS!!

Lots of energy, audience engagement, and great chemistry between the band members. And to think Shawn was hit by a car last week. When they left the stage, I was feeling all MUSHY with lots of feelings and ready to dance in a circle with my newfound friends. Many THANKS!!

Scott Cortez, as expected, created cascading walls of sonic guitar distortion. You don’t necessarily “enjoy” this music: you surrender to it and let it envelope you. While the sound was good overall the female vocals got lost and were barely audible. It must be tough mixing this kind of music on the fly. I saw loveliescrushing in New York in 1995 and it was a similar situation. I’m just glad Scott is still actively performing and creating music still. Long may he reign. Get the reissue of “bloweyelashwish” on Numero Records with the bonus tracks.

JMSN premiered his new album at the show. I didn't realize he was a guitar virtuoso! The new songs are a melange of 90's grunge influences with his voice floating over the top. The band was tight. The stage set up & sound were sick. I was into the whole thing.

Great venue! I do think that the singer was a bit full of himself and the band -- culminating in dissing other 80ies bands. Mind you China Crisis was not *that* populair or well known. The average NWA song has less F words than the singer would say in between their songs. It was great to hear their songs (for the record -- I do have the majority of their albums), but there was no magic. I do go to a fair amount of concerts, but when the singer suggested that they should come back to Los Angeles each year, I will respectfully decline to visit.

Growing up in the eighties, I was a big fan of The Bangles. I also knew about The Cowsills from “Love American Style” and their version of “Hair”. When Vicki and John released “Long After the Fire” on Record Store Day I knew this combination would sound amazing and I was right. Their performance at Zebulon captured the joy and energy of the album and their interactions between each other was fun to witness. The set covered many of the songs from “Long After the Fire” but an added treat was when Vicki’s sister (and fellow Bangle) joined them on stage for the last three tunes. If you get the chance to see Vicki and John I highly recommend you do! Ron Flynt, Steve Allen and Roy Flynt absolutely KILLED IT. The room was filled with sound from just their three instruments, and their musicianship was at their highest level, with vocals that still made you remember them from decades gone by. The fact that they rehearsed so hard to give everyone this one off show was a gift to their fans who were rabid with happiness after each song. The setlist was perfect, maybe leaning away from the more synth/keys weighted songs as they had no keyboardist ( maybe next time?) but wow, what a blessing of an evening for an original fan like me. Magical night.

It was so interesting seeing and hearing Watt in this context. Free improvisation and ambient noise isn't for everyone, though, and I saw a number of audience members disappear during the set. I loved it plus Derek Monypeny blew me away with his meditative approach.

Surreally joyful. Lots of hoodlums from four different decades. Did not have one unpleasant second. Do not be fooled by that picture of them when they were going through puberty - they are much more wizened and weather beaten. They did a couple new ones! The singer was reading the lyrics out of his little book wearing cheaters! it was amazeballs and simultaneously totally hep, daddy O!

F*****G AMAZING!!! Nonstop Energy. So much fun. They played for maybe an hour and a half and kept up the WILDNESS the entire time. Beat Man hung out afterwards to sign records and take pictures with the crowd. Slovenly Records had a merch table set up and we bought all kinds of records we hadn't planned on getting 😀 . El Colmo, the opening band, were great, too. I wish they would have had a record to buy. The best part? My wife didn't really want to go, wasn't a big Monsters fan.... SHE IS NOW! She was blown away! And we love the Zebulon. Last night was the first time we got food and we loved the pizza. The drinks are always great. Next time the Monsters are in Southern California we'll be there. 🍻

This was a great night Soulside and Scream exploding with ferocity and passions allowing the crowd to absorb all the power of their tremendous musical expression. Thank you for tearing the roof off Zebulon for the benefit of all who were there to experience it.

Guantanamo Baywatch is one of my favorite bands just to turn on and dance to. Their live show is so much fun. Me and my partner were dancing all night! I love their merch and I bough a limited amber colored record of their album “DESERT CENTER” and I bought a tour shirt. Tons of fun!

Excellent mix of acoustic and band performance. Excellent mix of old and new songs. The opening act was fantastic as well. Still buzzing like an electric fish in an organic flowerbed. Robyn Hitchcock, Kelley Stoltz, Bart Davenport and Emma Swift are not to be missed!

Zebulon is such a fantastic venue. I love how intimate it is and it is overall a vey easy experience. Glitterer was AMAZING!! They always put on an amazing show. They have the best energy and stage presence. They sounded great and their songs are all bangers! 10 out of 10, I wish i could see them play every day.

saw them open for greer earlier this year in july and seriously thought they were so good. they played all of their songs off of their new album and played communication and daily routine as their last songs. 1000% wanna see them again

Influences In All The Right Places, I Can’t Speak Highly Enough About Them. Best Show This Year! They Raised The Bar From Their February Gig Here, They’re On Fire! I Picked Up Both Albums On Vinyl. SPECTACULAR SHOW !!! I've seen them all over the country for years and this was one of their greatest shows ! Obviously the pandemic and the two years of not touring came to a wonderful and combustible head. They were a nuclear explosion. 2 hours of hillbilly fireworks. And Zebulon is a fab and intimate venue with great sound. 5 out of 5 stars !!!
