This is the 3rd time I've seen this last tour (2nd at this venue), and I'm very glad I got to see it. I hadn't seen Mr. Big since probably back in the early 90s, and it was great to see them again. Anyone who misses this tour, you definitely missed out. I especially enjoyed the band swapping instruments towards the end of the show. Lots of fun!
Rufus was amazing. I’ve seen him many times before, and his voice just continues to mesmerize me. In addition, he’s funny, honest and just so real.
That said, the venue was, let’s just say, ‘interesting’. I had a ticket for a 7:30p performance. Yet, not only did it not start until 7:51p, there was no announcement as to what was happening with the delay - is it a delay? Has it been cancelled? And then so many interruptions - it was quite rude.
The magnificent, melodious voice of Raul Malo is always a favorite with the Mavericks, and even more enjoyable in a solo performance. I’ve waited a few years to see his solo performance, and plan to se as many more as I can.
Peter Noone, aka Herman, is a fantastic entertainer! He was really in great spirits last night and put on the best show I think I have ever seen him do (and his shows are always fun and good). Through the years I have seen more than 60 of his shows and he just gets better. His voice is better now than it was in the 60's and he and the whole band just have so much fun entertaining us that we have even more fun being entertained! It was his Christmas show and he wears a top hat, scarf and red velvet jacket. His band are dressed as Santa and elves. They sang a lot of Herman's Hermits songs and some Christmas Carols. Absolutely fantastic show!!!!!
Amazing! Boney James and his awesome band never fails to put on a show that is unforgettable! I had a blast and it was obvious with all the applause and fans reaction they had a great time as well. Ludlow Garage is amazing, not too far from home and I so hope Boney has another show there soon because if he does you Will see me there!
This is my second time seeing him live. He was good as always but didn't get to meet him because his crew members kept lying and saying he was gone. There was one security guard in particular that was very rude and was ordering people to leave but then let select people come back in to meet him.
MR. GINO VANNELLI was in fine form !! He did not miss a note and his voice was as smooth as ever !! He has really taken care of his voice and himself !! His band was tight and the sound in the Ludlow Garage was great again !!
The ONLY negative of the concert was it seems that the guitar player always tried to bring attention to himself by raising the head of his guitar up when he took a solo as to say, look at me. He played well but, at that level you shouldn't have to bring attention to yourself on every guitar solo that you take. Plus, the guitar player has to realize who the star of the show is and MR. VANNELLI was certainly that !! MR. VANNELLI also had great stories and a fun sense of humor which added to a a set full of his hits and recent releases !!
After forty six years as a fan it is great to say I have finally seen MR. GINO VANNELLI live in concert !!!!
Whoever that singer was fronting for that fantastic drummer, he was pretty darn good. If the singer sticks with it, he just might have a career in front of him.
This is the third time I have seen Gino, going all the way back to the Stevie Wonder show at the Gardens that Gino talked about, and he is great each time. I have been playing drums for 57 years and this drummer was GREAT! Didn’t catch his name because the sound was too muffled. (See Below).
Whoever runs the house sound board should be shot and then run out of town and then shot again. Every time I have seen an act here the sound has been terrible. Overdriven bass and horrible vocals. Completely muddled to the point of not being able to understand the lyrics. Gino deserves better. If the sound man was an in house hire, then he needs to be fired. If he was touring with the band then they need a more in depth sound check.
I will probably never return to this venue again and I will be sure to tell everyone I know that the show is ruined by the sound man.
Giving a rating of 4 stars because the show was good, but can’t abide the sound.
As always Joey McIntyre put on an amazing show! Had the best time. He always keeps the crowd entertained. He is humble, kind, funny. The venue was a really cool place and set up! The staff were Al so kind as well!
Ally and the band absolutely crushed it once again!
I like the seating and intimacy of the preforming area, however the hallway from the beer line/ merchandise area/ restroom/ establishment exit is a hazard. Having that much foot traffic in such a confined area almost ruins the performance for me. This was the second time at Ludlow Garage and second time seeing Ally preform there. If it wasn't for the talent that Ally and her band bring, I wouldn't like going there.
It was entertaining but nobody was dancing or moving really— phones were up and down the entire show, which was fine, but people were yelling about Ariana or too busy filming to really appreciate the music and move and dance! I’d see them again :)
The part that made the night for me:
I got to see and hear Lines & Circles twice, haven’t heard that song live in a few years, my favorite song😍 _ The part that I didn’t like:
When everyone rushed the stage, like hello!? you paid for seats 💺 👀, they where different prices, that should of been controlled better, that pissed me off 😤 _ The part I wish would change:
The get your freak on/cry me a river mash up 🤦♀️🤔🙄 that’s been done for how long now??? Honestly I’d rather that be replaced buy some of there own songs, I came to hear the 4th, 3rd, 2nd and 1st albums, not a mash up of other artists/groups songs 🙄 _ Side Note: the after show selfies $100.00 bucks now 💸🤯 I wish that was something I knew before hand, I saved $60.00 bucks, $60 is what it always has been, thats a huge jump on price, that should of been said some where publicly when that was changed, luckily I had $100, but really 🤯💸 _ 4 & 1/2 ⭐️’s
This was my first time at Ludlow Garage. The venue was, for a lack of a more cleaver term, intimate. The venue was laid out in an "L" with the stage at the corner of the "L". One complaint about the venue is the lack of flow between the alcohol line, merchandise line, bath room and entrance/exit. The whole flow was bottled necked at the bottom of a stair case and the lines were intermixed and if the patrons were rude (which Blues-Rock fans aren't) that area could get ugly real fast. The intersection where the venue, alcohol, merch, bathroom and venue entrance and exit was on top of each other and just simply poorly laid out. Parking was typically of a tight downtown area and I ended up having to park 3 blocks away from the venue.
As for the performance, Ally and her band absolutely crushed it. This is the second time I have seen her live and this time, due to the venue and my seat location, I could see the stage, her and her band better. She can absolutely sheard that guitar!! I just wish she had a longer set. She and her band was kind enough to sign mech and take photos with the audience after the show. Definition of a southern sweetheart at the merch table. I am really looking forward to her new album!
What a show! Macy, you know how to get the house moving and shaking!!! Thanks so much for gong it your all for us! The California Jett Club did an awesome job backing you up! Come back to Cincinnati soon! Peace and Love!
Peter Noone is a truly fantastic entertainer!! He always puts on a great, energetic and fun show. His voice is actually better now than it was in the 60's.
I had never been to Ludlow Garage in Cincinnati before and it is a nice venue. It is kinda small, but the the sound was good and it was a good crowd.
We ate in the restaurant upstairs. Don't do that. I had a Cod sandwich and after the show I got very very sick from it. Still not over it.
JahiSundance is a top tier artist/DJ and got the party started with his masterfully diverse music selections.Love seeing him.
I am huge Glasper fan and have attended several shows. He's the best at what he does and as mastered the art of connecting with his audiences.
He has a vast catalog of music so I was a little disappointed he mostly played covers. I understand Black Radio has many covers but I would simply LOVE to see/hear him play more of his original music.
Adrian was so excited about playing in his hometown again it made this a very special night! Julie Slick is threatening to steal the best of the bottom from Levin, she's amazing! And the young man playing Bill Bruford's drum kit was flawless and saved the day more than once with his tech skills. I was 10-15 feet away from these three in the front row... I can't even imagine how this could have been better! Thank you all three for such a magical evening!
Another great show from The Tubes! This show was held in what is likely the strangest venue I’ve been to. But Ludlow Garage is very intimate. Two members of the Tubes were absent, though. Prairie Prince was touring with Todd (no surprise) and Rick Anderson. I’ve been seeing The Tubes every October since 2008 at The Tangier (much better location) but snatched up tix for this show as the Cincy show was announced way in advance of Akron. We weren’t sure if they would be playing The Tangier since the Caberet has been purchased by LeBron James . 🥲😩. But I’d go see them anywhere in the region. I’m a die hard Tubes fan, for sure. So rock on WPOD & I’ll TTYL!!!
These guys sound amazing. Just like the albums from 20 years ago. Two criticisms: they play medleys of a lot of their hits. It’s cool to hear all the tunes, but my personal preference would be to hear the full track, even if that means some hits get missed. Also, we heard them play in Frankfort last year and this show had the exact same set list. Would like a little variety for those of us who go to multiple shows. Truth be told, those are pretty nit picky criticisms because we had a blast and completely enjoyed the show.
Glen gives a great live performance! Jonathan Kingham and Ryan Shea were great too! They were all especially kind to a young girl in the audience, dedicating a song to her that included an amazing freestyle portion. Glen gave her their set list. The music was great. These guys are funny and really nice. Their interaction with the audience was awesome and they are really patient, down to earth, and humble when interacting with fans. Glen's shows have a personal quality with obvious professional talent. It was definitely a very enjoyable experience! I highly recommend seeing Glen Phillips as well as Jonathan Kingham and Ryan Shea!
