Sevendust performed an amazing set of primarily older songs and absolutely rocked the house. Horizon Theory was a good opener but the house sound didn’t do them any favors. A local band opened the whole show and performed really well, but the house sound didn’t do them justice.
If you're wondering whether you should attend a Memphis May Fire show, the answer is YES!!! Wow, these guys are insanely talented and high energy. I did the VIP meet and greet and played cornhole with them. They are truly kind, intelligent people and I had an absolute blast!! Can't wait to see them again at the next opportunity!
After 5 years of listening to BVB & watching their YouTube interviews🤭, I got to meet them and put on one hell of a show. We’re all thankful the power didn’t go out 😅. I can’t wait to do it again with them🫶🏻 I’m definitely lucky I’m a bleeder🩸☺️
This concert was awesome. The venue was awesome. I have seen Red Jumpsuit Apparatus many times and have been a fan for over 20 years.
I also wanted to thank the people at the bar that helped me when I was sick. I was able to see all of RJA’s performance and I am very grateful!
Thank you
My sister took me to my all time favorite band for my birthday and it was EPIC!!!! 😁❤️ Set It Off is the best and I love them so so much! Thank you for coming to Kansas City! I tried to snap a quick photo when Cody pulled out the acoustic guitar because it was one of the few times he wasn't jumping around (I love his jumping around but my camera sucks so it's hard to take pictures) but he immediately moved so all I've got is a blurred picture of his hand holding the mic and a bit of his hair, lol, and I love it so much!
I was right up front despite my arthritic legs, and never felt any pain until the next day. I've been a fan of The Darkness since their first album, and they don't disappoint live. Terrific live shows!
Justin gave me his last pick near the end of the show, and his hands were as soft as a baby's butt! I'll go to see them again anytime they come to Kansas City and I'm still alive.....I love 💕 those guys.
San Holo is undoubtedly GOAT'd after that performance. Seeing him for the third time was just as fresh as the first time, and the second time, it was amazing. An experience. Such vulnerable music but it lifts up the listener, and live, to experience it with all the people around you, it bonds strangers through sound.
Thank you, San Holo, for such an amazing
show.
I always wanted to see them live but then they broke up... But now they're back and better than ever and I can say the wait was worth it since this show was amazing. They were an opening act for Kamelot but I think they could be a badass headliner.
On their own, both Abner and Amanda are amazingly talented musicians, but it’s their interaction and relationship with each other that brings a relentless smile-inducing magic to their performances. Johnnyswim shows are so much fun that I’ve vowed to never miss it when they’re on tour and stop anywhere in my vicinity.
The band was great!! No complaints there but a few of their fans are pieces of sh*t. I got there early to be close enough to see them with my family. Once they got on stage you know people don’t care about others when they want to see their favorite band, I get it but when you clearly see I have my 3 year old in my arms and still push me out of the way. Still have the audacity to yell at me for pushing you back. Luckily security saw and got them to go back to where they were. Thank goodness for security!!!
Good show overall.
The opener was just medicore at the best 2/5
Pvris (pronounced Paris) 5/5 sounded amazing, stage set was beautiful and was very interactive with the crowd. Instruments and vocals were in good balance for the show
Poppy - 3/5 was a decent show. The bands instruments were really over powering her vocals, even when she was screaming could barely hear her. Stage presences really wasn't there, didn't really interact with the crowd besides the pre-recorded video with things she said. Literally would just interject with say kansas city when it paused for the city name.
The crowd - what a wild bunch, was definitely a vibe show. Sorta a clut kinda following for Poppy. Wild as usual for the truman. Half the crowd left after Pvris. The headline came on and the crowd started a mashpit for most of it.
Recommendation - come for Pvris for sure, if you haven't seen Poppy. Would recommend seeing her once then it's up to you from there.
They played some new stuff and it was good. But I’m sure 90% of the people wanted to hear Silent Lucidity and were a little sad they chose not to play it. Still a good show Trauma and Marty Friedman was incredible. I would go just to see opening acts again.
What could there be to say, about that evenings show, that wasn’t already obvious??? Smaller venue + HUGE band = 1 very WELL DONE performance!!! That being said, I do feel as if there was a specific kind of energy missing, making the whole evening just slightly incomplete. Hmmmm… If only Bowen were there, that particular evening. As good as Idles performance was… I can’t help but believe that his presence would have completed the circle, elevating the entire experience into a magni-fucking-fique 5-STAR show! Maybe next time…
Concert was beyond amazing! The Driver Era continues to be my favorite band, Ross is such a talented singer and Rocky is insanely talented at guitar and singing as well! My only complaint was the meet and greet, in my opinion was not worth the money but that’s just me.
Andy is the absolute best. My wife and I’s 4th time seeing and he gets better every time. His music is so fun and positive. Loved his new song about his daughter. Some people may have cried, ok, it was me. 😭 Thanks Andy for always bring it. Wish he could play three hours
We Banjo 3 was in ‘fine-form’ last night at The Truman in Kansas City, Missouri. Great music, an enthusiastic crowd, and a great venue made for a great concert!
Can’t wait to see We Banjo 3 when they return to Irish Fest this Labor Day weekend in Kansas City and get a copy of their new album!
AMAZING AMAZING SHOW. One of the best shows I’ve ever been to. It was sold out so the line was VERY long to get in. The crowd was also super young 😂 I’m 28 and I felt old lololol but all so worth it. Love The Truman and love this freakin band. I’d absolutely pay to see them again. The openers Over Under were also GREAT.
Amazing show. Even being sick and down a guitar player, Ronnie and the rest of Falling In Reverse killed it.
Side note: does anyone possibly have a The Drug in Me is Gold shirt from the show they'd be willing to sell me? Mine was stolen along with my wallet walking back to my car. I'm more than happy to pay above the cost at the show plus shipping. Thanks for reading.
The show was amazing, I loved the energy from both bands. I've known Dom for awhile and saw him twice already (I discovered him at Warped and saw him on his first headliner) but this performance goes down as the best I've seen out of him. On top of that, he's adorable as heck. I'll definitely be seeing him again. 🖤
I came for Silverstein, but Silent Planet was awesome, too! August Burns Red sounded good, but I didn't see much of their set since some crowd-surfing dude accidentally slammed my head into the metal barrier right at the end of Silverstein's set. The venue was decent, but I had a hard time finding parking (I ended up having to pay $10). The venue workers were very nice. Sound quality was good. Overall good show.
