The Australian legend Nick Cave once again delivered, proving in life-affirming fashion that he, along with The Bad Seeds, is still not to be missed when they're in the area.
This time, the band was supported by four backing singers dressed in gospel-like robes, further reinforcing Cave's image as a preacher of rock – a brand he's made his own.
The choir elevated the already hymn-like songs, particularly in 'Frogs' and 'Conversion', which, with full-on gospel vibes, stood out as climactic moments.
Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds filled Royal Arena with both thunderous, massive crescendos and touching, heartfelt moments. We got to experience the full range of Cave as both a songwriter and live performer – from close physical contact with the audience at the edge of the stage to quiet moments at the piano.
One of the most moving moments was the performance of 'Joy', a song from the new album.
While the crowd cheered during the powerful songs, a reverent atmosphere lingered during the pauses, where the respect for Cave and his authority on stage was palpable.
The evening fittingly ended with a subdued sing-along, with Cave alone at the piano performing 'Into My Arms'. After two and a half hours in the company of an icon who still has so much to offer, we hope retirement is far in the future."
In short: Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds, supported by a choir with gospel vibes, filled Royal Arena with both thunderous crescendos and touching moments. An icon who still has much to give.
The last star is half - only because the sound was in periods ruined by a load echo from the drums, from the other side of the arena.
I love you Judas Priest - you are beautiful! Your passion for playing still shines! And the colors and energy of your sceneshow is so you and absolutely wonderful. Richie Faulkner healed so well which is so good to see and hear! Everytime I see you guys, I just, wanna go into a field and sing and scream like Rob Halford and try n play guitar. So proud of wearing my t-shirt! Lots of love ❤️
I went with my dad to see his favourite band simple minds, but then I happened to hear del amitri for the first time and I fell in love!! Have been listening to their songs non stop since the concert🫶 Please come back again soon, i need to hear more!!
I was barricaded after waiting three days and everything was amazing. His voice is so beautiful and he made sure to hype the fans up. Everybody sang loudly.
he expressed his appreciation towards his fans. Really emotional journey and 100% the best concert I’ve ever been too . He went barricade to us which made it extra special to me.
100% worth it I was at vip and the vibe was there. Everyone was singing with him and he was dancing around and walked around the whole stage. As a fan this was one of the greatest moments of my life, he really adores his fans and he tell us!
I am a beautiful person who is the one who is the one who can do that for me and you are welcome to my place to be honest I think you are welcome to come and pick you are
entertaining, they really gave their all! some annoying crowds on the floor, but that’s not the performer’s fault.
i found it odd how only damiano spoke the entire show, seeing as denmark is victoria’s home country.
Amazing concert! The visuals were absolutely astonishing and a thrill to watch. Song after song TOOL just absolutely killed it! I was there with my father, who's been to a LOT of concerts, said that Pneuma may just be is best live experience ever!
One of my favourite perfomances was The Pot. That song just does something to you, you know? And finally seeing it live... Was something else.
wonderful concert! me and my companion came when the doors opened and had to stand up for several hours. the concert turned out to be extremely long and we were exhausted already an hour before the concert ended. the transport home was complicated and long but we managed. the band were incredible and the vibes were immaculate!
It was my first PJ concert ever and I was absolutely blown away! Wow, what a show and how talented they all are! And I have dreamed of seeing Eddie live and now I have finally done it! His voice: OMFG! ❤️❤️❤️
If you is a hardcore maggets as I am, it’s was so fucking bad. A shame they don’t has drumkit with as turning around. I Think there where not enough space. That’s a Big problem in Denmark as soon it’s indoor. But otherwice it was butyfull. They just blow the fucking Arena to the Ground . I’m never disserpointet( sorry my spelling sucks) when SLIPKNOT just fucking fire it apart.
The show was fantastic😱 i cried that she sang God is a woman!!!! And this was my biggest dream ever!✨❤️ hope you “Ariana” coming to Denmark again⭐️😱 from Sophia
I love you Ariana!
Great show, royal arena a great concert place, only issue which is major, logistic is bad if you are in a car. Took 1,5 hours just to get out of the parking house
It was such a good concert, I was crying (of happines) and singing through the whole concert, it was litterally my wildest dream that came true. Even though i didn't have the best seats of them all it was just so magical and I could really feel her passion. It was litterally the best moment of my life, and something i will never forget.
BEST CHRISTMAS PRESENT EVER!!! ❤️
Very good. But I wish it was like some of the other concerts that she did. Like when she said” put the little lights on your phone” but she didn’t here. There was no spotlight so it was a little hard to see her sometimes, even though I was in front.
In Thank You, Next there was only two dancers. She didn’t talk to the crowd so much. So that was a little sad.
I think she could do a little better. But she sang great and the concert was great and I loved it and I want to go back.
As always they played with an amazing energy. There was some Sound problems, but they were solved (more or less)
I still don’t understand why they need to be support act, they should be headlining every time
Sea Rocs were obviously having a great time leading in for MUSE and I appreciated their energy. Whoever was running through board was not doing a good job so the mixing was not that good and much of the vocals were overpowered by the instrumentals. Still, thematically and musically a good warmup act for MUSE, and I’ll check out some of their tunes elsewhere to get a better feel for what they intend to sound like.
It was Best trash metal ever. F...... super stageshow but I miss Jeff Hanneman V.I.P. and his mean guitar plaing with K. King. And Paul Bastaph on drums. NOT so good. It was the 4. Time for me and Dave Lombardo roules on drums. I hope King can explaine Tom, his NOT old and NOT to Think to much on his family.
It was such a good show! Even though I was seated on the third level, it was amazing. Alessia’s show was really good because she connected with the audience. Then Shawn was AMAZING. Even though he was sick, he was smiling and having the time of his life.
It was amazing! The set up, the lights, the performance, HIS VOICE, the atmosphere, everything! He also involved the crowd a lot, telling them to sing along or do something, and he was always asking how the crowd was doing. Would 10/10 recommend, and go again next time he performs!!!
