Marco Antonio Solis put on a fabulous show. He entertained the crowd, with his musicians, dancers along with his back up singers. The only upset I can state is he did not sing the song Quiereme. This would have made every bit of this concert Spectacular!
The items for sale only included T-shirts, tote bags. It would have been nice to purchase a few CD's and caps for family members. All in all an awesome concert.
Venue was nice, clean. Not too big but not to small.
Incredible concert. Dave Koz is amazing and he always surrounds himself with incredibly talented people. This concert featured the Summer Brass band. Everyone on the stage was a tremendously accomplished musician. The music selection was splendid and there was good humor and lots of energy. I particularly enjoyed those numbers when Dave and the band sang back up and did coordinated dance routines a la Motown. It was such a remarkable program - I smiled the entire 90 minutes. This morning I looked at the tour schedule and emailed friends who live in towns where the tour was headed suggesting they buy tickets. GO - you won't be disappointed.
The venue is good overall. There was one person in the sugar land crowd up front who was an idiot. The last few shows I’ve been there the folks up front have seemed to think that they can interact directly with the artist. Please do us all a favor and shut up!
Counting crows were good. They didn’t seem as tight as in the past but they are obviously pros and got right back into it. I don’t always love the way the songs get reworked when they are live. Adam seems happy and is always a charismatic performer. I appreciated how he interacted with the crowd and his response to the idiot up front.
❤️Wow - Smart Financial Center - Sugarland, TX
This was absolutely a beautiful performance!’ Kenny you simply have me in 🫢 AWE!! I am so proud of you and the band - my guy - forever in love ! One incredible man and artist !! Great venue- your tenacity and passion for your music is unmatched!! Intelligence and all so handsome As the Life in the key of G “greatness” I love you 💕
Great concert!!! Gerry may have retired, but Dewey was in fine form and has assembled a tremendously talented group of musicians. We thoroughly enjoyed hearing the great songs we've grown up with and never stopped listening to over the past five decades. I can't wait to see them again!
Al Stewart was truly a bonus addition to the lineup. I still have Time Passages on 8 track (since eBay keeps the resale value too low).
Leanne Morgan was awesome as usual! Giving it 5 stars because of that but the venue - Smart Financial in Sugar Land gets -5 stars! It was awful! I would never attend another event at this venue. It’s too far across Houston unless you live on that side of town. It took 2 hours and 15 minutes to get there on a weeknight with people trying to commute home from work. Then the traffic, lack of control on the street entering into the venue and especially on site in the parking area at the venue was a complete shitshow as well as entry into the actual venue doors. NO organization or systems in place and it’s not like it was this venues first event BUT it will be my LAST one there. No thank you!
Maluma’s concert was great. Full of energy, great visuals and the right amount of songs to go through his career entirely. My only suggestion would be to reshuffle the set list so the most popular songs will be at the end of the concert. Maluma had to repeat his hit Hawaii as the encore which was totally unnecessary if he wouldn’t sing earlier
Dwight is off the chain, guy literally did a pop-urri of all his top Hits. He was definitely there to please the old school crowd. Guy was a ball of energy. Been wanting to see him live since I was 12 years old back in the early 90’s and even though we are now 30 y
ears older since then I thank him for the experience.
Freddie Jackson and most definitely Jeffrey Osborne stole the show.
It’s understandable that tickets were sold with Charlie Wilson as the headliner. But he terribly fell short due to his health issues (which made it difficult to perform). He apologized profusely after it became terribly apparent he was in some kind of pain. That made the show unbearably long. I hated that people boo’d him.
The DJ was amazing!
The performance by the two artists, the Spinners and the O'Jays, was fantastic. However, the audience sitting in the front row in section 103 was blatant and rude and stood in front of the stage for the entire show. It was disheartening to see Mr. Levert having to sit most of the show because of its mobility limitations as effects of COVID-9 and see this woman with her big A afro and her family members dancing in front of the stage, blocking the view of others. These people ruin the evening and the special moments for others.
This issue has to be addressed by the management of SMART Financial. Just because you have a front-row seat gives you a divine right to destroy the night of others.
Your floor ushers claimed there was nothing they could do.
Another amazing performance by a master of storytelling. He was at his best being his folksy self, especially because it was the end of the tour and he was at home with relatives in attendance. Always love to hear his stories of how he grew up and he was happy to tell those tales last night. Oh, and the music was spectacular as well. And “no, I’m not from Texas (Jersey!) but Texas loves me anyway :-)” Lyle continues to be one of the best singer/songwriters of his - or any-generation.
I give Rick 10 stars! what a pro, he was not feeling good due to a cold and still put on a GREAT show at a week away from 73 you would think he was in his 30-40s! The only reason I take one star away is we bought the meet and greet and the Smart FC reception area we met him in had very bad lighting and our photos turned out terrible, they need a room for this kind of thing with tested lighting and proper chair and table for the artist not a hall way! Hope to get another picture if he comes back to our neck of the woods in San Antonio Texas.
Ok so John Waite was great, I forgot about some of his hit songs, I’d love to get his hits CD. Hit me up I have electric guitars and cymbals if your band needs them lol.
MEN AT WORK Or you could call them Men and Women at work. Collen apparently consulted the music union from South America, you know down under. He was happy to say he has a band of immigrants.
The woman on keyboards, Sax, Clarinet, Flute and vocals was truly amazing. I can appreciate a multi-Instrumentalist. The band was tight and they played most all of their hits.
I also enjoyed watching Collen switch guitars mainly hollow bodies from his collection. Another band for the bucket list.
RICK SPRINGFIELD
WOW what a powerful, energetic rock show!
And like my family we celebrate our birthday all month since your actual birthday is later this month. Rick has appeared in more movies than some famous actors. So he is turning 73 and looks like he is 40 something.
Makes us beg the question how did you do that? Plus he looks like the Incredible Hulk with the shirt missing. Steroids? Or do you live in the weight room? Either way dude that’s crazy. I think you can Jesse’s girl now.
So I love the venue! Always have. Tonight we sat in the first balcony. Different viewpoint. John Waite was vintage John Waite. Last time I saw him Jon Caine and Ricky Phillips were on stage as The Baby’s. That’s been many years. His voice is still a treasure.
Collin Hay and his Men at Work band were great. He had a Cuban and Central and South American composition of band members and they were excellent.
Rick Springfield came on and the decibels increased. My only negative. Rick said he had a cold but he sure gave it all in his performance. Excellent band and particularly the bass player Siggy Sjorenson (sorry if I misspelled) who was a 60 minute cardio lesson!
It was a very nice show. John Waite opened the show (wish he would’ve sung a couple more songs from The Babys era) his voice has held up beautifully. Men at Work was my husband’s favorite set. He enjoyed hearing many of the songs from their debut album. Colin Hay also had a very nice singing voice. His band was AWESOME! The woman that played the flute, sax, keyboard and an additional reed instrument was so entertaining!!! Rick Springfield was ever the entertainer. He was dropping F-bombs throughout his set (didn’t bother me…but I noticed children leaving the SFC) and wondered if their parents regretted bringing them to the concert 🤷🏻♀️. First time to see all the performers live. Overall, very nice concert.
Outstanding show...as always!! These guys are consistently one of the best shows around. JY's voice was great on Snowblind, Lawerence and Tommy hit all the right notes on everything else!!!!! Incredible guitar work between Tommy and JY, again, as always!! The library of hits is always surprising, and they hit most all of them. If you've never seen Styx live, you're missing one of the best live bands still around.
Always amazing live. I get super sad after every show and try to figure out ways to see you again in the following days after in another city, but it’s not realistic for me. Then I slip into a deep depression and I beg the music gods to bless us with another show in the not so distant future. Please come back soon. I need more Papa Roach shows in my life to keep my sanity intact. Thanks for putting on the perfect rock show. It’s a blast every time that I have the privilege of seeing you guys. Much love.
I hadn't seen John in a solo Concert, even though I had seen many Moody Blues Concerts and Justin Hayward on his solo tour.
I attended the Comerica Theatre concert on
July 24th and I've concluded that together
as the Moody Blues, or as a Solo Act, they
are World Class Performers as attested by their induction into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2018, on their first nomination.
Great Classic Rock is alive and well!
If you have the chance to see John, or Justin, GO!
While Justin is the Lead Singer in the Band, John has written some great songs that are an integral part of the Band's concerts.
So, be prepared to have a SUPER time with John Lodge, Singer, Songwriter and one of the best Bass guitar players around!.
It was amazing. Best experience ever. Definitely going to another one of their concerts, when they come to town again. I just wish it was less smoke, and the lights weren't as bright, so I could've have a better quality photos and videos. Also, the crowd was to hype, so I wish their mics were a little loude. Overall a good experience, and I recommend you on going.
Great show! Was impressed that they mostly all still have vocal talent. My husband and I had a great time. Brought back great memories of our younger days and ran into old friends at the concert so bonus points for that! Our seats were in the lower level row DD. Still pretty good view & close to the bar for drinks. Second concert at this venue and it was a better experience this time around.
