Primus is so sick live! Played a lot of songs I didn't know but dam they jammed out! Also shout out to Larry on guitar, he was playing so many different styles and killer solos!🤘🤘🤘
Finally got to see Mother Mother live! It was exceptional!!! Thank you for the great night, Mother Mother! Can't wait to see you again!
Edgefield concerts on the lawn is a GREAT place to take in a show. Best part of summer!
Mother Mother was so sweet! Not as energetic as past performance, but such tender banter, and beautiful singing/playing. Cavetown was also a sweetie. Sounded like his throat was a little sore, but still an adorable voice. And the set was precious!
Cat Power, Pixies, and Modest Mouse all put on one amazing show. Their song choices for their set-list and the performance itself, made it a show that I’m glad I can say I attended. Cat Power’s live performance highlighted her strong, yet gentle, and beautiful singing voice. Pixies are legends and know how to put on a show and the live version of the songs were better than hearing a studio recorded version. The same goes for Modest Mouse. I was so blown away by their performance, I will be sure to catch Modest Mouse anytime they’re in Portland. Seriously, the show was that good.
We went to see the Pixies with Modest Mouse at Edgefield in Troutdale. We were there to see the Pixies. The show started with Cat Power. Oh, that voice! Great arrangements, cool style and we were blown away! Next up we’re the Pixies. They started at 60mph and just cranked out a mind blowing show 80 minute show! Crowd at the front was crazy fun, people were nice to each other and everyone had a blast. “Life changing”, “bad as***” and “can you believe it” were some of the comments we overheard. A quick set change and out came Modest Mouse — not to disappoint — they also started at 60mph and just continued to crank it up! Music was awesome! Energy was off the charts! I have been averaging 2 shows a week all summer and I think was the show of the summer. If you do t have tickets, see if you can get your hands on some. You will thank me later!
The show was incredible. Peter and his band were amazing and I never get tired of listening to them!! Thanks for the most awesome night Peter, Dan and the rest of the band!🩵
A camera focused on Peter’s face to cast it on the big screen would’ve been nice with flashbacks from his original concerts for each song. I’m 68, remember the original concerts and sitting on the lawn would’ve been nice to see his face or him sitting and playing in his chair! Love his music forever.
I loved Big Thief! The music was even better in person! Not to mention, there was a medical emergency in the crowd, and Big Thief stopped the show until help arrived. Talented, thoughtful, and rocked our worlds! Thanks, Big Thief! ❤️
I got to go to their “rehearsal” at the Wonder Ballroom the night before, so I knew this show would be great. I just didn’t know that they would pump it up for the Edgefield show!! So incredible. They even had the Portland Trailblazers cheerleaders there to dance at the end!!! Wow
The show was amazing! BNL always knows how to perform and this was no exception.
The venue, on the other hand, was not great. Their oppressive rules made us feel like the fun police was watching our every move. It’s bad enough that people with food allergies have such a hard time finding anything to eat, but they make you walk a half a mile to use the restroom just so you have to walk past all the overpriced food/drink vendors. It’s a the lady at the entrance was a huge B when we walked up with some blankets that “looked” too big and made us walk back to our car to put them back. If you can swing the trip up to Seattle, Marymoor Park is a far better outdoor venue.
This has been the best concert I have attended. Their stage presence is amazing. And Karen, oh my gosh! Just the best. Those vocals as well. I hope I get to see them again.
(Perfume Genius is a great live performer, too! Totally made me into a fan)
The show was fantastic! The venue had a lot of particular rules and priced water relatively high for how hot it was, so some people collapsed from heat exhaustion during the show. Phoebe was gracious and stopped the music whenever someone collapsed, but this is probably the worst I've seen Edgefield handle a hot day since before 2020.
I’m sure it would’ve been great, like always, but I couldn’t end up going because I was bringing my children whom aren’t vaccinated (not my choice, but I don’t have sole say in the decision) and the band was requiring all patrons to be up to date on those. Ended up with three tickets that I couldn’t get rid of unless I lost lots of money. True bummer. Lost $120. Ugh.
Coheed and Cambria was absolutely amazing. A mix of old and new songs, with their visual effects was one of the best shows in a long time.
Alkaline trio sent me back to middle and high school while mothica who is new to me made me into a fan!
My husband went with friends. He said it was a great concert. Alkaline Trio were so fun to watch. Played a lot of his favorite songs. I didn’t make it after all unfortunately my ticket just went to waste. So sad I didn’t make it. So glad my husband got to go!
Th concert at Edgefield was a true delight. Just when you think a band won’t get any better , and you were actually happy about the way they were, they surprise you with a great versions of Severed , California One , Black Mariah and the whole show was just a level above all past show, technically and soulfully played. Colin’s voice just seems to get richer and better every year. It was a heartfelt soulful experience. Bravo Bravo Bravo !!!!!
Norah and her band were in fine form. Actually lovely. However, there were far too many people, with traffic backed up on the freeway exit for a mile followed by a long line of people waiting to get in. I turned on my hiking tracker to measure the longest line ever - 3/4 mile. (And yes, I've been to Disneyland and the Louvre.) They set up water stations every quarter mile or so in the hope that us old folks could make it to the security checkpoint where there were large piles of rejected beach towels and lawn chairs. Only one $8 beer because the lines were so long and a $14 vegetarian pulled pork sandwich. No kidding, a big savings when you cut out the pork.
Amazing show. Alex has such a beautiful voice and you can tell even while he’s live. The crowd was super dull the entire time but that in no way is ROCs fault, considering I had the time of my life screaming and dancing the whole way through. The set was beautiful and I would do it all over again if I could.
Love this show. My son had been introduced to Jack before this with his band and this just layers the greatness. Awesome show. Brendan seemed to be in a bad mood. But still great with vocals. Jack and everybody were great. I'll never miss a show
amazing concert, halsey is such a good live performer and she was so cute! but i do have to say that we wasn’t very intimate with the fans in the pit. she didn’t come down like she usually does which was disappointing but i still love her!
