Even though it was hot asf. The show was awesome. Most venues I been too that have singing artist take place in indoor arenas. This was a change for sure, but not a bad one in my book. Kehlani and crew put on a great show! I was entertained with the fly DJ, Waseel, spinning those R&B throwbacks. Dixson showing off his pipes even though he has been in the background for many years, glad he is coming out to do Him! theArti$t, yo never heard her songs until that evening, she's going to blow for sure. Her voice is so smooth and angelic! I became a new fan! Durand Burnarr, he had me entertained. Go ahead Grammy award winner! Lastly, the highlight of the show, Ms. Kehlani was entertaining from start to finish. I had my a**e singing every song and dancing in the little space I was in. My 9 year old daughter loved the show as well and was singing along to all her songs as well. If you love good R&B and an artist that will do dance choreography as well and kill it with her dancers. Don't fall asleep on Kehlani. You will enjoy yourself for sure!
I’ll start out with a shout out to Rich with the security team, he took care of everyone in his section, it was a hot Texas evening, he passed out cold water to anyone in need and kept the lines moving and our view unobstructed Rich gets 5🌟’s, the bands performed great performing all their hits of the 80, 90’s and today Chris still has that “ride like the wind” voice, Toto always sounds great, the Romantic’s were great live,
It was overall an amazing show I loved every song they played I got to get a shirt and I will have it forever I am so grateful that I got to see them live and it was an outstanding show and I am so proud of all the kids there because its nice to know there is a future generation of rock lovers and older music instead of all of the new music they are the future of rock!!
Devo and B-52’s were awesome! Although not the biggest fan of the venue. Some good staff and bad staff. Parking was a nightmare, but majority of the crew were helpful. Oh yeah, event time pushed back due to storms… one group had to cancel due to the fact. Just one of the downfalls with outdoor venues.
Priest will always be a great show. 6th time for me alone. Teeshirt prices were over the top. 50.00 is redic. Dont blame tshirt prices on tarrifs. Just promoters with their hands in the peoples pockets. Over all. PRIEST always puts on a great show. 6th time for me since the 1980,s Screaming for Vengence tour.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Russ – Germanic Insurance Amphitheater, Austin TX – 07/30/2025
Russ’s Performance:
Russ once again proved why his live shows are unmatched. No matter the size of the crowd, he has a way of making it feel personal—like every person there is part of the conversation. His energy, connection, and effortless ability to move between hype tracks and heartfelt moments created an intimate concert experience from start to finish. Whether you’ve seen him once or a dozen times, he delivers every single time.
Venue Pros:
• Very clean, well-maintained, and up-to-date facilities.
• Multiple concession options for food and drinks, plus pop-up bars that gave the grounds a fun, “fair-like” vibe.
• Event staff was consistently friendly, approachable, and helpful.
Venue Cons:
• Transportation/Arrival: Ride-share drop-off was over a quarter-mile from the entrance. In extreme Texas summer heat, this walk was brutal before the concert even started.
• VIP “Lounge”: Unfortunately, not a true lounge—more of a covered outdoor deck located far from the actual concert area. With temps over 104°F and no AC, no fans, and no complimentary water, it felt inaccessible as a comfortable VIP perk. Food offered included chips with queso and guac, empanadas, and churros—but heavy, hot foods didn’t pair well with the extreme heat and humidity.
• Pit Conditions: The pit was in direct sunlight with people packed shoulder-to-shoulder. Several attendees passed out from heat exhaustion or possible heat stroke. The only fan available to pit-goers was off to the side of the stage near the security checkpoint, rather than placed in front to help cool the crowd.
• Ride-share Pickup: Disorganized and confusing. The default app location sent drivers to Lot A, which was blocked off, forcing everyone to Lot E. Officers on site threatened to arrest anyone loading from the street instead of the lot. This caused chaos—riders struggled to find their drivers in a mass of cars, headlights, and chaos.
Don Felder was great. An icon,he sounded good and set list was on point.
Kevin Kronin was energetic and enthusiastic. Very engaging with his background stories of writing the songs and touring when he was young. I liked seeing his photo memories.
Styx was of course wonderful. The album cover was great. Just what you would expect from a band of professionals. Unfortunately we were rained out on the last songs from the B side of album. It rained buckets. I'm sure we might have heard a song from the new album if that thunderstorm hadn't broken out. We got the Woodstock experience! I understand that that electric instrument, rain and lightening don't mix so no hard feelings. Maybe the concert will turn up on YouTube so I can see the end.
I loved the whole experience!
I love Breaking Benjamin and this was a dream come true to finally see them live. We were supposed to in 2020 but Covid stopped that. They played all of my favorite songs and I LOVED that his little son Cheech was on stage performing with them and that we got to sing him happy birthday! Unfortunately, he was having some sound issues and the guitar was drowning out the vocals. I think the mike was cutting out which sucked but I still loved it and would see them again.
Green Day was great ... Loud and energetic as expected
We went to see Rancid, and they didn't disappoint (other than only getting 30 minutes on stage) ... The Linda LIndas were fun, too
However, Smashing Pumpkins were stole the show ... Honestly, I wasn't expecting much since I didn't know much about them ... they were fantastic ... master musicians who put on a top notch show ...
I was a bit disappointed considering Kenny Hoopla was on stage longer than Poppy was. I understand Poppy was an opening act, but she was upstaged by Kenny. She sounded great and she at least sang her two most popular songs. She was energetic and seems to be enjoying herself, but she wasn't on stage but maybe a total of 20-25 minutes. Would have definitely like to have seen her stay on longer than Kenny who put forth a full 30 minutes.
Godsmack and Staind were both amazing. Super strange having "mix master mike" open the show. Sure would have been better had they used an up and coming local rock band instead. ( we do live in the live music capitol). I don't care what classic rock song you play, when you so that scratching c**p it ruins it for me....and apparently most of the folks around me ad we were all complaining.
But again both actual bands were awesome.
It was an amazing amazing time. I am so glad that I was able to make it to that show every band from flesh hoarder to Lamb of God to Pantera totally made it worth battling the heat triple digits couldn't stop the power of Pantera. The tribute they did to Vinny Paul and dime bag Daryl Abbott was simply amazing made me tear up and cry. Rest in power dime bag and Vinny Paul. Your presence was definitely felt last night.
I took sooo many videos....Planet Caravan for the tribute to Dimebag for his birthday was soooo awesome 🥰 I didn't get one of them doing shots on stage and the ENTIRE CROWD singing Happy Birthday but it gave me goosebumps and was one of the best shows I have ever seen..... So, so special 💕 I am so happy I went 🥰 Zach Wylde played phenomenally and Charlie Benante was amazing!! Rex and Phil of course there are no words!!
Sounded absolutely incredible!! Just like they do on recording. The energy of the show was so great and I lost my mind to so many songs they played!! I got to help Chuck (the drummer) crowd surf which was my first time being close enough to be a part of true pit life. So so much fun!!
AMAZING!!!
Gavin is a rock-god-machine! He still sounds GREAT, band was tight, BUSH has sooo many great songs, one of the few bands (AIC is also one) who continue to write good songs after 20 years!
Gavin is in amazing shape & I'm jealous LOL.
Not a breaking benjamin fan, but they were really good!
Then... the moment... Alice in Chains, I had high expectations, they delivered and then some! Their performance was... an experience, I didn't take any pix/videos because I was just in a trance, AIC has a special kind of magic no one can duplicate! Jerry doesn't really get credit as a singer, he should cuz he is amazing, Layne was also but many ppl forget Jerry was 1/2 of those vocals! Also, Jerry writes such killer crushing memorable riffs, the only person comparable is Tony Iommi as far as being a god of riffs.
I LOVE BUSH, I LOVE AIC, couldn't ask for a better show!!
Sublime With Rome was phenomenal. 3rd time to see them in person. Nothing against Incubus but they were not the reason I was there at all. Had an amazing time! Please one back to Texas/Austin when weather cools off!!! 🙏🏽🥵 I am spoiled from seeing them in Vegas 4th of July in the “Beach” at Mandalay Bay!!!
5 stars for the concert. Amazing. Great venue. But, transportation was a PAIN. $130 Lyft to go 25 mins away, and it took 30 mins for it to get to us. They need to line up a shuttle back to city center or something, or be much more transparent on their website how challenging/expensive it is to get an Uber/Lyft out of there.

The COTA security was majorly flawed though and told the line to “just run” when we hit the track which in turn had people falling down and only being pushed further. I was screaming at the top of my lungs for help to fans and security and nothing. If this had of been after the Astroworld catastrophe I would have had a panic attack.
Cheap Trick first, Mad Co second, ZZ Top on 3 hours after scheduled start. Heard Mad Co a couple months ago in Nashville open for Lynyrd Skynyrd and acoustics much better in Austin. ZZ Top great set, great video, and great setting. Would go back tomorrow. Food OK. Beer readily available. Crowd friendly. Used upgraded parking at $25 per car. This saved a long walk or waiting for shuttle.
