The show was absolutely fantastic. Ticket price was very good because it included entry and a signed album. I was right at the front and I felt in the venue and it felt like they were singing to me personally. Highly recommended. Very enjoyable evening. Good time had by all. 🥰❤️😁🪩
The show was excellent. The venue is so good being small and intimate, allowing you to get close to the artists and meet them at the signing.
As usual Larkin Poe were absolutely brilliant, superb voices and playing, and coming across as just really lovely people. It's small wonder that they have such a dedicated following, they make you feel like Kin.
Yesterday I attended a Larkin Poe concert in London. I specially came from Germany - and not for a second do I regret the time and money spent!
The Lovell sisters were simply incredible. Rebecca worked magic on her acoustic guitar, while Megan's lap steel parts were absolutely breathtaking. Their harmonious vocals and powerful energy created an absolutely unforgettable atmosphere in the venue.
I have many concerts by various famous musicians planned for this year, but after last night's show, I'm absolutely certain: I'm looking forward to the Larkin Poe tour more than anything else. So much so that I'm seriously considering adding a Berlin concert ticket to my existing one in Cologne.
This was a fantastic experience in the intimate surroundings and being close up , hearing about the making of bloom and hearing the acoustic versions of these wonderful songs, was a memory that will last forever and the beautiful thing is will see Larkin Poe in October at Hammersmith , so pleased to have been there to see this memorable moment.
Great show - short but sweet, as I've heard people say. Six songs from the new album, a bit of banter with the crowd, and a try out of some segues and dance sequences. The venue is a great place to get very close to the band - if you get in early and to the front. Audience area is narrow and has lots of view obscuring pillars.
Stephen is a raconteur and so his interview with Pete Paphides was entertaining. He six tunes from and that was better than entertaining. Apparently they will be back to promote a LP REISSUE of Keep Going next year. If you haven't heard Stephen or the Lilac Time that would be an opportunity. Rough Trade Host these things very nicely.
Great acoustic set from Peter ablely assisted by his son Jamie.
And a very entertaining interview to follow, a truly enjoyable night.
I really enjoy these record launches, interview and a 30 to 40 min acoustic set, keep them coming Rough Trade please.
Finally i got to meet one of my favorite guitar players Jerry Cantrell and i must say queuing for nearly 2 hours was well worth it. He was very kind, complimented my jacket, gave me a hand shake and a guitar pick. Signed my CD as well. The only disappointing part was that his manager never allowed photos to be taken. On top of everything i met them both on the next day outside a hotel in Central London where i was the only person waiting outside. Again to my disappointment when i asked Jerry to take a quick photo his manager refused it again saying Another time. Considering the fact that i was a fan for 34 years and he wasn't tired from a gig and there was nobody else, they could not waste 10 seconds for a quick photo. Not impressed at all...
Fantastic evening. Rough Trade East is a cool intimate venue and Kate and her band were incredible - such energy and enthusiasm, playing a great set of songs, old and new. The new album 9 Sad Symphonies is brilliant. Can't wait to see her again for a big gig in November.
Great band these guys never fail to disappoint they bring the high energy rock n roll the uk is desperate for . They are the most energetic band I’ve ever seen and they give a 100% live performance it’s punchy and raw and leaves you needing more .
Seriously addictive .
Cracking gig showcasing a mix of some excellent new tracks from the album, and some well known favourites - Royal Blood are just one of the BEST bands to see live right now, the energy is incredible!!! 😊❤️
It was lovely to see Margo again after so long. I am not a dyed-in-the-wool country fan but I fine her songs and performances charming. I couldn't go to the Lafayette show next evening and I look forward to seeing a full show as soon as I can.

Brilliant gig with album signing. Dream Wife were the consummate professionals, even when they did skip a verse for one song. There is something unique about this band: their sound and the way the gel. Played the whole album and were then very pleasant at the signing. A great evening.
The staff and security were super nice and venue was decent. Daniel was soo friendly and genuine with his conversation. He signed all the vinyls/cds to our names and gave everyone free signed posters. Overall very great and nothing to fault!
Venue packed with very appreciative audience. Billie is an excellent singer and musician, who enunciates her words so that one can follow her songs (rare I know), and has great stage presence. Will be seeing her again on 26th May at the Lafayette. Can't wait.
The questions from the audience were really good this time, and so were the answers. Loved hearing some new songs from the album, along with some old favourites. Great venue too! Felt very special to be there.
It was a privilege to see Beth in this intimate setting. The venue is set in a vibrant and perfect location for a launch of a new, and long awaited album. Beth's voice was good to hear, and this was the first opportunity to hear these songs live. This is vintage Beth Orton and I look forward to listening to the tracks in the comfort of my own home.
Will be back for more at Rough Trade East to hear more musicians in this great space.
Amazing intimate concert. Thanks for having the patience to sign the vinyls and to take a photo with pretty much each of us. Not many bands would do that. Au revoir et a bientot.
Shamefully the first time I've seen the band, despite the fact I've worn Spotify out listening to them. Utterly brilliant performance, best band I've seen for years. Every member of the band fits perfectly, has a personality, shines as an individual performer yet completes the whole. Every song is quality. TBF words aren't enough. This is the band I've been waiting for. Roll on Scala appearance.
after our train was cancelled me and my sister ended up running through london to try make it on time. we got there with 10 minutes to spare but it was honestly so worth it!! it was amazing to meet him and he was so friendly and genuine.
