Absolutely brilliant. I haven't been to a gig in a place this size since I was in my 20's (a long time ago). The Support, Nonpoint set the whole thing up & got the crowd going, they were really good! Then, Lacuna coil just smashed it out of the park. The beers prices were good too. All in all a good night.
Show was absolutely awesome!! Venue very strange having the ‘accessible’ area up 2 flights of stairs and no lift to use! Toilets downstairs so it was like a zombie apocalypse every time you needed to go for a wee!!
Great show, intimate venue, so the sound was really crisp. The Last Dinner Party..what can I say, except they are super talented, great voices, good stage presence. New album is a hit!
The girls were great as usual but their set as support act was ridiculously short. 30 minutes on stage is absurd. One final point, their own music is very good, these girls are very talented and deserve to go far, but they really shouldn't open their set with 'Stamp on it'. It may have been their first release but it really isn't a good song. Thankfully their later material is far far better.
It's the second time that I have seen Walter Trout, and both times have been sensational. Walter is the ultimate entertainer. As well as being a monster guitar player, he is also an amazing songwriter and knows how to work a crowd. His stories are touching 1 minute and hilarious the next. The sound was great as always at the 1865, and I consider it a privilege to be in the presence of greatness when I watch Walter Trout. Fantastic evening.
Loud but good. Over the last decade I thought health and safety had put paid to those gigs that you left with a ringing in your ears. Not this time! It’s great to see Ginger hale and hearty and happy. Long May it continue with this lineup which should be devoid of all the old arguments and grouches which made the classic lineup a brilliant but unsustainable mess. The new songs fitted in nicely and we were treated to an end of tour treat of Inglorious at the encore.
Great gig, from start to finish. Everyone was on top of their game all night
The 1865 was absolutely rocking
If you love Motörhead get a ticket as this is not to be missed
Another great performance from Katy J Pearson and band with a good mix of old and new material. A respectful audience in a good venue with an intimate feel.
First time I've seen Soulfly but been a fan since Max formed the band after he quit Sepultura, the show was full of energy and the music was fantastic, I will be seeing Max and the boys again the next time he returns! 🤘
Absolutely amazing get better every time we see them had a chat with lead singer shes a wonderful person will see them again .would definitely recommend any one to see them
My second time seeing this band f#$king amazing show I took friends with me who were blown away with the gig I think the 1865 should up the carpets and just have a hard floor as the carpet felt like it had hands pulling on your shoes anytime you tried to move apart from that great venue
Hawxx were amazing at Amplified festival, just didn't have enough time play all their best songs, however still loved them. After spent time at the merch stand, had a nice chat.
The venue is brilliant if a little chilly to start with and a few minor misunderstandings as to door opening time and it was well below zero outside.
Brave Rival have honed their stage show over a fantastic 'headline' season and continue to tweak each set.
The duel lead vocals of Chloe and Lindsey are second to none, great strength, stamina and range, they harmonise perfectly and swap lead seamlessly...amazing timing.
Donna on Drums teams up with Billy on Base for a solid foundation, both soloing during several tracks to huge applause. Speaking of which Ed 'The Shred' on guitar gives a masterclass of Rock and Blues.
This Bandvis going to fill some far bigger venues in the not too distant future, get to know them now, do yourself a favour, check em' out.
Laurance Jones.....my first time seeing him and the Band live and will most definitely not be the last, great polished set, amazing guitar and for me amazing Hammond Organ. Very Eric Clapton in places, voice and guitar. A hint of Quo and even got me up and dancing (1st time in 12yrs)
Bar, great selection, great staff and reasonablde prices.
Great Venue, Great Gig👍👌👏😁🍻
What can I say, that hasn’t been said already? Focus are FOCUS! There is no other band even remotely like them. From the first note to the last they prove that creativity, passion and the desire to entertain us is still very important to all of them!
Thijs is unmistakably Thijs, the founder and chief creative force behind the band. Pierre has been a member for more than 50 years and is a drummer without equal. Who else could play for 2 hours, including a 10 minute solo, at the tender age of 76!!!
Menno takes all the inventive influences of Jan Akkerman and adds his own style on every track. Udo, on Bass guitar, has so much talent it’s difficult to quantify.
Focus are so much more than just the sum of its’ parts! Go see them, you won’t be disappointed!
Thijs and the ‘boys’ ALWAYS deliver a fantastic performance. From the first note to the last, every song is built with the care only half a century of experience can create! If they come to your area, do yourself a great favour and see them! With a brilliant mixture of classics and newer songs, they prove that age cannot diminish their passion to perform!
Thijs is, of course, a founding member and Pierre has been with Focus since 1971. You won’t find another drummer, of his age (76!!!), still able to deliver a powerful, 10 minute, Drum Solo anywhere!
Menno Gootjes is a master of his guitar, taking Jan Akkerman’s inspirational originals and adding his own ‘spin’, and Udo Pannekeet knows a thing or two about Bass playing!!!
Go see them, while they still have the desire to bring their unique music to an appreciative audience. They are still selling out venues all over the UK and Europe!
Buster Shuffle as support were brilliant. Neville and band smashed it again. Looking sharp, sounding great and still enjoying skanking to the masses. Long may it continue.
The best live act I have had the pleasure to see. When you have a group who perform to such a high standard and yet can remain grounded and approachable to their fans, then you appreciate them even more!
Seen the wonder stuff a few times this year but seeing this is a great way to hear the songs stripped back loved it already booked again to see him in brighton
Felt like a warm up gig for London but crowd loved the band especially the revved up classics. In contrast my favourites were the new material from Emotional Tattoos.
