What an EXPLOSIVE night of music at the Pavilion at the Mann in Philly with Willow Avalon, Bakar, Young the Giant, and Cage the Elephant.
We've seen a lot of live concerts over the past 3 years and this one was a chart-topper for HIGH ENERGY, stagecraft, Lighting, and SOUND!!

Freakin’ Fantastic as always. She never disappoints.
However… the ppl in the audience talked way too loud and too much— not paying attention to ME. The ppl that came to see Indigo girls were more quiet once ME left the stage and after a break. Ppl moving out of their seats walking/standing were very distracting. I prefer seeing a concert in a theatre than at a semi outdoor venue. It was too much like a party atmosphere.
i cried and laughed and danced and felt every emotion humanly possible and the speakers shook my bones and my heart ached and swelled and I screamed along to my favorite songs I felt alive i felt alone I felt connected to everyone thank you thank you thank you
Absolutely FANTASTIC show! The weather was great and the crowd was friendly. Very cool having the orchestra with such a great artist. His solo performance of "One Foot In the Grave" (just Beck on harmonica and vocals), after the orchestra left was particularly great. Show closers of "Devil's Haircut" and "Loser," made for a perfect evening!!
This was our first visit to this venue and we loved it!!! We live in Jersey so it was just under a 2 hour drive, so worth it! And the Avett Brothers, what can I say? They were amazing!!! The show was awesome and the mix of songs was perfect! The muppets were a funny addition that showed their sense of humor!! All in all it was a wonderful evening and The Avett Brothers are the BEST ❤️❤️
Great show, lived up to all the hype. Exiting the Mann parking was another story! A real S#it show that included 45 minutes to get out of the lot and then backed up on Belmont and Montgomery to get on the Roosevelt Expwy where traffic was down to 1 lane at times. We saw 2 accidents over a couple miles which definitely put a damper on the evening.
They were genuinely fantastic live. Everyone who was there seemed to be there for Beck, and by the end of the show, all that everyone was talking about was how good Phoenix was.
They started off the show by immediately going 0-100 and almost never stopped the momentum and when they did it was to (properly) give the crowd a break to regain their energy in the middle of the set. They were super appreciative of the crowd and even did a little surprise near the end of their set to show how appreciative they were.
I had such an amazing time there, everybody had a great stage presence and really engaged the crowd, Cavetown himself was so kind checking on the crowd and everything, there were some strobe light displays which is fine for me but in the future, just a warning. I would also suggest to bring a fidget and headphones, because it does get a bit chaotic. The atmosphere there was wonderful, so many different people with different styles. It’s so comfortable there, and I loved it
It’s hard to review the Roots Picnic. There are various artists, some you like, some you don’t like, and you can discover an artist you never heard of before and become a fan. There are also other things about the event that can be improved, but overall I recommend the event. Highlights for me were Ari Lennox, Usher (who I couldn’t see as I was too far from the main stage), and a surprise appearance by Fat Joe. Pictured in my photo is a screen shot of an artist named Syd, who I never heard of, but she was pretty good.
I LOVE KEHLANI! She was amazing she cared so much about her fans that she had to stop because too many people were passing out. It should be know you stay hydrated enough and eat before a concert it wasn’t even hot. The crowd’s energy was not it, many of them were not hyping her up enough not singing or dancing they weren’t matching her energy! SHE DESERVED MORE!
Just got home from Ledisi’s show called Ledisi Sings Nina in tribute to the late, great Nina Simone. What a fantastic show! Ledisi does justice to some of Nina’s well known and not so well known songs. She also sang a few of her own great hits. Highly recommend going to this show if Ledisi makes a stop in your town.
Great night of music, great sound and sightlines. TTB one of the top touring bands, without a doubt, Los Lobos still great as well. Unfortunate that so many people carry on loud, banal conversations as if they were at their corner bar, and unfortunate that they're not shamed the way they would be at a jazz club or symphony hall
Absolutely fantastic. I love that they clearly geared the show to reflect more of who they are now as opposed to their Nick characters, yet the show was still family friendly. I took my little brother who has Down syndrome & has been obsessed with BTR for years and he sang & danced his heart out, loving every second of the show.
Oh, also, we’ve all been rickrolled before, but how many people can say that they got rickrolled by BTR and thee Rick ~Live~ ?!? All of us who were at BTRForever in Philly just gained our new “fun fact.”
All great, but for the Ukrainian flag in the middle of the stage. She should separate her music and her politics. We have enough of that in our lives, paying a big buck and coming to the show to rest from the politics, not to get more of it.
I onLy goT one phoTo near the end. I literally danced my 61 yr. old bones thru Lecrae & your performance. You guys are so bLessed. I had so much FuN..JoY, I only goT one still photo near the end. Govt Mule totally brought their groove to the
Mann in Philly last Friday. Unfortunately as I was leaving my seat go to the lawn, I tripped on a completely unnecessary curb and broke my leg. I was unable to stay and enjoy the rest of the night. So Mule was a 5star rating, the venue -5 Stars. Boys, don't book here again, for the health and safety of your fans!
She has such a great catalog of songs, I don’t know why she does multiple covers in one show. Yes, they are great renditions but I want to hear Her songs. I understand respect for tradition and I’m for it, but when the cover songs are 50% of the show it creates a disconnect for me. We get to listen to her dream playlist (which is great) but we miss out on some of the songs that brought us there in the first place. I still think is an awesome show and I will definitely go see her again and again. Hopefully more Brandi less everything else.
First time getting to see Robyn live. No one sat down the entire show. High energy and the crowd knew every word to every song. I posted multiple videos from this show on YouTube and have been listening on repeat all day. So glad she played Philly. One a few East Coast shows this tour.
My 3rd time seeing Lauren Daigle in less than a year. From a racetrack in Delaware to Reading to the Mann Music Center in Philadelphia and 9000 fans. Her career is taking off but she retains her down home Louisiana attitude. Looking forward to her next album and tour.
Oh my God I love her! Honestly I had not heard of her until I bought tickets to see The National. I checked her out and really liked her. Amazing in concert! Her music and voice gave me music induced skin shivers. I hope I can see her again
