About
The Sheldon Concert Hall and Galleries
The Sheldon has been a uniquely St. Louis institution for more than 100 years—equal parts concert hall, art gallery, community collaborator, arts educator, and historic venue. Widely recognized by artists and concert-goers as a favorite venue, The Sheldon Concert Hall is renowned for its perfect acoustics.
We host over 350 events each year. Artists like Dave Brubeck, Diana Krall, José Carreras, Herbie Hancock, Joan Baez, Willie Nelson, Lyle Lovett, B.B. King, Mavis Staples, Wynton Marsalis, Judy Collins and Renée Fleming have all graced our stage. And over 300 exhibits have shown in our galleries since 1998. We also present a wide range of educational programs for schools serving over 20,000 St. Louis-area students each year, and host hundreds of weddings, community events and other celebrations in our historic event spaces.

What fans are saying
So glad that the Side Eye project brought Pat back to St. Louis. Another evening of high energy from virtuoso, multi-instrumentalist Pat Metheny and beyond-splendid accompanists, Chris Fishman, master of a maze of keyboards and synthesizers, and Joe Dyson-dynamic and energetic percussionist; along with capable, agile and animated bassist and vocalist and harmonic percussionist. What a treat enjoying these 2.5 hours in such an intimate, acoustically pleasant setting. Hopefully we’ll have future opportunities to thrill to Pat Metheny performances.
The Sheldon is a small historic venue. While I scored a 5th row seat I don't think there's a bad seat in the house. At times the instruments can overwhelm the sound of the singer but they managed to strike a nice balance.
After over 4 decades of performing Margo still sounds fabulous. They played a lot of my favorites and previewed some new stuff. I really enjoyed the show.

A truly rare and wonderful human, absolutely radiates joy, talent, depth, and heart. I will see him perform again at any and every chance I can get.
