One of the best concerts I’ve been to! Ronnie put on such a good performance and all of the openers did great and just added to the experience. Everyone went ALL OUT when FIR came on, I’ve honestly never seen so many hands up in the crowd when an artist asks. The sheer amount of voices we had singing back to him when he would point to the mic to us was powerful. 10/10 would see Ronnie again in a heartbeat.
Foreigner has always been one of the most down-to-Earth bands ever in Rock & Roll history. I first say them in the mid-80(s) in Neurenburg, West Germany at a 2-day outdoor concert and they were awesome! Foreigner has only gotten better through the years. Their use this year of a local high school choir to bring attention to the needs of the Fine Arts for our youth is second to none. This was a touch of class that will last those kids, and others, their entire lives. A fine example of a great Rock Band that has more than simply "earned" their place is music history.
Loved every minute of it. Great seats and loved the lineup. Me, mom and younger sister made a weekend out of it. We have been big fans of Nickelback and have been waiting for them to be on tour! Seeing Nickelback live has been on our missions and it finally happened. We live in San Antonio so we drove up to Houston to see them. I actually liked the Cythina outdoors venue better than the AT&T center here in San Antonio.
My kids and I had the best night ever! Ronnie was perfect and so much better than I expected! I've never seen my daughter get so loud before but she was screaming that she loved him between practically every song. All the songs were amazing, and we knew all of them and sang our little hearts out! My 6 year old loves Bad Girls Club, so I thought he'd be sad when they didn't preform it and he was OK with that because they played all the rest of his favorite songs! No telling when any of us will get our voices back but it was more than worth it! Cant wait for them to come back to Houston again! I have a feeling I'm going to have to get pit tickets the next time!
I’ve seen A7X in concert many times, especially before the Rev passed. They have always put on a great performance. Sadly, tonight wasn’t their greatest performance, but they still did an amazing job. They played G then O then D for their last songs and it was super disappointing as they just left the stage during the piano part of D and never said anything else. Lots of people left before then
Show was a good time. Now it would’ve been better if I didn’t sit in the lawn the only reason being that the girls around me were rowdy, drunk and obnoxious and spilled beer on my belongings no matter how much I moved. And the bag policy at the venue is wack- I’ve been there 3 times and never had an issue before but I ended up throwing my bag away instead of losing my spot in the ridiculously long line just to go and put it in my car. I didn’t see others get the same treatment. And they gave me a little quart sized snack bag to put my stuff in to “replace” my bag- girl not even an HEB bag 🤚🏾
Both bands were great! I enjoyed myself highly and the time flew by. The workers at the event were so very helpful and cheerful. They were constantly available to help us get in (we'd brought an unexpected item, a parasol, and they were more than happy to help us find out if it was ok to bring inside). The only complaint I have is that the parking garage doesn't have great markings to help you find your car. Every level looks like every other level and isn't clearly marked, so we wandered around for a long time while hot and exhausted.
Ghost and Amon Amarth were awesome. Only negative was we had a seriously obnoxious drunk guy in front of us that seemed more interested in turning around and taking photos of the crowd. He also wanted to talk through the entire show as well. He kept asking me something which I couldn’t understand. I just told him to turn around and watch the show! There was a poor girl next to me that he kept trying to talk to as well. Seriously, this dude was probably in his late 50’s and a bit creepy. Luckily he moved away. I also really wish Cynthia Woods would start enforcing a NO PHOTO / VIDEO policy. Come on people! Enjoy the moment and put the damn phones away!!
I knew this was going to be a fun show, but man my expectations were wildly exceeded! Sam sounded great all night, and is such a great entertainer… he came out into the crowd and walked around the floor multiple times throughout the show and even played an acoustic set in the very middle of the venue. I wasn’t expecting such an elaborate stage production and it only added to an already incredible set. What I was most impressed with was the band! They are all insanely talented musicians and absolutely rocked it. They took all of the Sam Hunt songs we know and love to another level. Such a fun show and Sam and the band absolutely knocked it out of the park!
The band sounded fantastic, the sound was mixed perfectly, not too loud , just perfect. I only wish they had played a few more songs. I highly recommend the show.
Cold War Kids were excellent as well. They played a number of their “hits” that we knew from Alt Nation.
Their lead singer is super talented. The audio for Tears for Fears was the best mixing job I’ve heard since We saw Muse in 2012. It’s so nice to be able to hear the music as if you’re in your living room listening to the stereo.
I get tired of bands cranking the volume and producing
Nothing but a distorted drone of noise. This show was the opposite of that. Great in every way.
Duran Duran really know how to captivate an audience! The stage was amazing, the graphics and the screens too! They played almost all of their greatest hits but snuck in some amazing deep cuts from the first album! Not to mention Nile Rodgers and Chic were so much fun as well! I danced and sang all night and had no voice by the end of the night!
The concert was FANTASTIC. Opening acts Bastille and Nile Rogers/Chic charmed the crowd with their presence, warming us with their signature HITs and medleys. Duran Duran taking the stage after a slick video montage where their computer generated counterparts shuttled in via a spaceship and embarking amidst a sea of smoke--opening to a brooding take of "Waiting (For the Nightboat) set the tone for a barrage of hits and wonderful spectacle! Great sound, marvelous spectacle and great kinetic energy was very welcome and delighted the packed Cynthia Woods Pavilion. Can't wait for next tour!
The best concert I’ve ever been to! From all of the other concerts I’ve been to in the past, none of them can beat this one because this was DURAN DURAN!! They’ve been around way before I was born and they’ve made my night! Not only was it my first concert of Duran Duran, but it’s special because it’s my first ever concert with my girlfriend!!! She told me it was the best date we’ve ever had! She loved it too!!! I can’t wait to hear more music from them and who else is coming soon! DURAN DURAN made a dream come true! Thank you!!!
I went to the Together Again concert to celebrate my 44th Birthday and it was the best concert ever. I've been to many concerts this the best one. Ms. Janet Jackson if you nasty , the very talented Ludacris and the talk to me ( that's my favorite DJ) Dj Infamous were all very very good I danced the entire concert. Thank yall for coming to Houston, Texas. We love yall. I went with my Mom and the concert was jam packed with people from all walks of life and all age group just beautiful. Love see the diversity and unity. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Frankly, this was the best show I have seen since Led Zeppelin's first tour in the US. Maybe even better because the crowd sang every song and danced throughout. I normally don't like that but I was doing the same. Sound was perfect, band played for 2 hours...could have played another 2 hours and nobody would have left the venue. KUDOS to Whiskey Myers, the best band on the planet in 2022! And I have seen them all beginning with The Beatles. Extraordinary stage presence.
Ziggy- always a crowd pleaser. Jammed irie vibes from his songbook. Shed some tears during “War”, a classic taken from Halie Selassie’s 1960 UN speech. “Is this Love”, rocked the house where he quipped, “Jah provides the bread”. Uplifting set also included “a beach in Hawaii”, look whose dancing and tomorrow people. Ziggy came out during the Jack Johnson set and delivered a beautiful duet. All in all a great evening with a packed house.
Was really good and had a lot of fun! Made it halfway through the set list before Ashton (the drummer) suffered from heat exhaustion and required medical care, therefore canceling the concert halfway through. It was understandable since it was around 95°F and very humid along with the smoke machine and he was playing very passionately as he always does. A person in the pit even passed out due to heat and dehydration but Michael (guitarists) handed some water he had on stage to another person in pit that needed it. We waited around 20 minutes singing songs, doing a crowd wave, playing games, and going to get water to distract ourselves before the crew made an announcement saying the concert has been canceled and to hold on to our tickets. Fun night but sad it was cut short. Hoping everyone is okay!
Well,
I've waited patiently for 22 Years + 2 Years of not being able to see them perform on stage (due to COVID) was definitely worth the wait although the Backstreet Boys did an awesome job of putting a show on for us fans even though I couldn't afford the Meet & Greet I still had a blast and hoping they'll come to Houston TX again.
Always a great show! Will see them every time I can! A fabulous set and very talented band playing with Donald Fagan.
Can't share any pics because they asked for no phones, cameras, or videos.
Love the Pavillion but a few more fans (as in air circulating, not more people) would be great for the summertime concerts - it gets pretty stuffy with that many people and the ever-present humidity!
Visually and musically, these brothers put on an incredibly entertaining show with their incredible talent and knack for using technology to enhance the stage. We will make every effort to go to every AJR concert that comes through.
Gayle was a sweet surprise, as our family initially didn’t care to see her, but were absolutely blown away by her talent and stage presence. We agreed that we are new fans and hope to see her live again soon.
Overall, an amazing show!
