Show was ok. Brooklyn Steel is a good venue - but I would love to have more options of food. Show started a bit delayed, with the explanation that Ian McCulloch got laryngitis. In general, great songs, but Ian was clearly not able to sing at his best. Also, it was nearly impossible to hear what he was saying between the songs - maybe due to his accent, maybe due to the laryngitis, maybe to some strong remedies. Anyway, all the great songs were there.
It was awesome sauce. I really recommend the quick pass. I got there at 7:10, doors opened at 7 but I could in with quick pass and I got to be at the second front row. I could’ve definitely made barricade if I hadn’t driven around the entire bar almost twice bc I didn’t know how to use the quick pass. P.S, the regular line was LONG. Amazing show, amazing opener (I LOVE YOU WISP) and overall amazing experience.
4 excellent sets with jams getting better and better each night. Great openers every night, prison will be a must see again soon. Amazing seeing the same people every night and watching new pavement fans get born! Let's not call this a send off but the perfect way to close this chapter of pavement. We know they still fuckin got it!
Amazing show! I'vee been a fan for years and seeing them for the first time was a dream come true. They played some of my favorite songs too! Even not just from their new album Alpha Games, songs from Silent Alarm, Intimacy, and FOUR! Brooklyn Steel was a great venue, albeit the security was sloppy and disorganized. But it didnt ruin the night!
Totally breathtaking yet again. There is nothing particularly cool about Brooklyn steel’s set up, however, the room gives you a perfect vantage from almost anywhere and the sound was tight as hell. I wasn’t in person for the Coachella shows but I’d wager this show had the most ideal mix of the 4 that have happened thus far.
I’ve seen Placebo on almost every album tour to the U.S & they have always put on an amazing show. Seeing them after so many years I was reminded how good they are live. Hearing the latest material live really made me like those newer songs even more & gave me a better appreciation of them. The 23rd at Brooklyn Steel venue is 1 of 2 nights their playing in NYC & I going to both the 1st night was really good other than Brian Molko pissy attitude about people using their phones during the show was a bit of a downer but other than that they were great . If your a fan of their music & their coming to your area definitely check them out live.
An amazing departure from the kinda usual post Horses tour shows. Patti Smith was Patti Smith of the Bowery.
Awesome free form side roads not taken in awhile. The band too..way more like the musical warriors they have always been. Hightlights If I could turn back time. Yup that one. CHER would have loved it but nothing and I mean nothing could top A 14 minute Time Has Come Today/ People have the Power. I'm 63 have seen alot of amazing moments on stage . This is in the top 5. Yes it was chaos but it was the real deal. Hope she does her 77th Birthday in an easier Venue to get to but hey 3 buses from Rockaway and it was worth every pothole.
Joyce Manor put on one hell of a show one of the best sets I’ve seen. The venue was not it though. Water refill machine barely worked took forever to fill up a cup and had a crappy sensor and the bartenders wouldn’t fill up water cups themselves and said the water fountain has been like that forever so idk why they haven’t fixed it yet probably to charge people for bottles. Also bad communication with re entry. Security said my friend could leave and come back and people who gave him the stamp but then people at the front entrance were trying to not let him back in for no reason
This was a really good show!
I really enjoyed the vibe here.
The set lighting was awesome too.
Front of house kept the volume at just the right spot.
Not overkill even if you were near the stage it was loud but tolerable.
I definitely like this venue and Converge, Caspian and Lethargy made for the perfect blend of metal.
I will be back for more and hope to see Converge again.
I was standing left of the stage for most of the show but couldn't take any photos as it wasn't allowed to use professional cameras without band or venue approval.
But the visuals of the band rocking out will always be in memory.
I went to the show just to see KB open.
They were rad!!!
McVay and the boys were on point. He's one of my fav guitarists and vocalists.
They sounded exactly like they do on recordings which is super impressive because they use a ton of effects and have a highly intricate style with lots of rigid syncopation.

They are a super fun band for everyone to jam out with!! So everyone should go see 'em!!
I just attended this concert last night and let me tell you, it was amazing! Granted Brooklyn Steel is a good venue but Caravan Palace utilized it to a show stopping degree. Their opener, Michael Scales, was entertaining but the crowd went wild when Caravan Palace took stage. An hour and thirty minutes of my life that’d I’d love to experience again.
LAST NIGHT I HAD THE STRANGEST DREAM OF ALL
I've been a Waterparks fan since 2018, and they became my favorite band shortly after. I never got a chance to see them until finally, the A Night Out On Earth Tour on November 5th. Needless to say three years worth of build up definitely gave me high expectations, but the band did not disappoint at all!!! They were all absolute sweethearts when I met them and they're always extremely entertaining on stage. Otto's drums sounded amazing and it's very fun to watch him play, Geoff is incredible and watching him jump around and spin while playing guitar flawlessly is so impressive, and as always Awsten's vocals were jaw dropping. Not to mention how beautiful the set was with their lighting design. It really transports you to another world and it's so amazing to watch them do something with so much passion live. Any time a song isn't being played Awsten is engaging with the crowd with fun banter back and forth. Definitely not an experience you'd get anywhere else aside from at a Waterparks gig. 10/10 would HIGHLY recommend
This was a great experience to have before everything vaporized into a poop mist the next year. Almost brings a tear to my eye thinking about it. The show was just about perfect if there was no political banter, and if there weren't people trying to convert me into a becoming Democrat in entrance of the building. When the one extra band member started taking his shirt off and working out on stage, it was a tad uncomfortable to watch at first, but was hilarious as he was doing it the entire rest of the show.
It was amazing night. Her sing , dancing, expression deep of her feelings and lead our in to her song. Pretty much like her made us lovely vibe. She complexed similarly type songs in her songs. I felt so good. That made miracles when her sounds out. She did lead us to sing with her that is so warm. End of show, She singed one more time that song is she sing at beginning of show. She knows we not willing shows just ending on last song so she made more warm way to let us know she had same feelings as us . She love this show with us. Magnetic Moon Tour NY is good moments for her and us.
In terms of openers, Diet Cig was terrible. At one point, they were introducing another song and someone screamed out, "Don't be fooled! It's the same song!" because everything sounded the same.
PUP was soooo good though! I got elbowed in the face and nearly died! It was sick! They were so lively and the audience really popped off. I loved it.
The energy was through the roofs with the crowd and the band. Having Oliver Tree as an opener?? LIKE MY DUDE SKEETED IN ON A SCOOTER!! THAT SHIT WAS DUMB HYPE! My toes went numb from the blizzard conditions while wearing converses but it was worth every moment of pain jumping on them during that encore ♡♡♡ PLEASE COME BACK TO BROOKLYN FRANK AHHH~~
Noname has an enigmatic stage presence. She’s so charming and fantastically talented. Even with tonsillitis, she blew me away.
The venue is enormous for Brooklyn. Honestly, it’s freezing in there. But the sight lines are good from anywhere and the sound is pretty good too. Clear and loud without hitting bad frequencies. And 3 bars means there’s never a long wait for drinks, even at a sold out show.
ROYAL BLOOD ROCKED!!! 🎶
What an amazing show. Mike Kerr was a boss killing it despite the fracture in his foot. Ben Thatcher was just astounding & a monster on the drums. I even found myself standing next to the guest guitar player they had on stage (I was near side rails, VIP guests watching).
If you ever get a chance to see them live - DO IT! Especially at smaller scale venues - it's just an awesome experience.
Omg...this was so impressive!!! These guys are such brilliant musicians with an amazing attitude. Fantastic live show with tons of energy. Props to Mike Kerr for performing with a broken leg, seriously, that’s so impressive, wow. Im not sure if i could perform with a broken leg. But anyway, amazing job with the drums Ben, loved the drum solos. Really impressive! These guys are ROCK GODS!!! Turbowolf had an amazing performance as well, and it was awesome to be in the pit as well. However, Royal Blood did play everything slower, didnt mind the change that much though. Amazing show!!!!
