A stellar performance, the exuberance was palpable . After attending innumerable performances over the decades, one might expect taking the pleasure for granted but such is not the case. Each has been singular, with tweaks and additions that genuinely delight, plus I'm in it for discovering new venues, seeing how Justin Hayward has evolved since 1966 to the present. He's at last able to share his deeper cuts, the ones that mattered most to him yet somehow never quite seemed to fit the Moody Blues collaborative studio approach and subsequent live setlists. So very much overdue, enthusiastically received, with audiences bringing both awe and affection for this songwriter and musician who at 78 can still rock the house like few others.
The Greensburg 15-tune setlist delivered substance also, namely: Tuesday Afternoon; Driftwood; Blue World; Living for Love; Hope and Pray; the 6-tune medley (The Day We Meet Again / One Lonely Room / Out and In / In My World / Meanwhile / Voices in the Sky); The Voice; Forever Autumn; Never Comes the Day; Your Wildest Dreams; Question; Nights in White Satin; The Story in Your Eyes; You and Me; and, I Know You're Out There Somewhere. The humility persists, as does his commitment to
continue touring, his sincere regard for his talented and equally ebullient troupe -- Mike Dawes, Karmen Gould, Julie Ragins, and recently his guitar tech Josh Johnson on a few tunes. They had the nearly 1,300 attendees jumping from their seats, cheering, applauding, transported back to Days of Future Passed, equally enjoying Living for Love, a reminiscence we all share.
The 9-date itinerary over Thanksgiving and into December snow was a lovely surprise. We didn't disappoint. Neither did Justin and his crew. Yes, the drive over the mountains in the gales and snow was a bit white-knuckled, both ways. But wouldn't have missed Greensburg for the world. Just the affirmation needed, an uplift when headlines are too often sordid, that goodness, generosity, and integrity remain, as they did in the 60s and 70s, the summer of love.
OMG - HIGHLY recommend going to see this artist especially at this venue Greensburg PA Palace Theatre and SO happy that my wife and I were both able to attend. Justin Hayward and his band hit a HOME RUN. He still got what it takes to make a memorable experience. This band was AWESOME!
The concert was very well done and you could see Randy Travis was having a good time. The singer did an awesome job as well as the media to they did.
This was a once in a lifetime experience. Being able to see Steve Vai, Adrian Belew, Danny Carey, and Tony Levin all on stage performing at the highest level was something that I will never forget.
The band's performance, as always, was great. My partner and I sat about 7 rows back, stereo center, at the Palace in Greensburg. This is about the 12th time we've seen them (or Blackhawk) in the past 2 years, and the first time either of us have seen the Henry Paul Band since they resumed touring after the pandemic. That being said, the sound mix at this particular show was absolutely terrible. It was muddy throughout the show, and inaudible for the last 3 or 4 songs. We have seen them before at this venue, and the sound was fine last time, so I'm not sure what to say - I had a great time at the show but the audio quality is the only thing that prevented me from giving the show five stars.
Well it wasn't BTO but it WAS Randy Bachman and it was fabulous. The stories he told about his life as a musician were enlightening. Even my hard rocker been to see every rock and roll band since the mid 70's and watch every rock and roll band documentary SO learned new things. I
We had a great time even though our seats were about 3 seats apart but it was a lifetime experience. Do more of this and we will be back with seats next to each other! Randy Bachman still rocks!
It was a fantastic concert! We all loved it and were so happy we went! The story telling by Randy was great, as well as the music! I highly recommend it!
This show was truly spectacular. I am in constant awe of the tone, precision and craft that Eric and the band has performed. I also greatly appreciate the emotional caliber that shines through each of the songs. As one of my absolute favorite musicians, he never disappoints and always leaves me with much inspiration and gratitude. Such a great tour and I very much look forward to the next one.
It was incredible, at one one point I found myself with my mouth hanging open, holding my breath . At another point I had tears in my eyes. Thank you Eric
Buddy is a legend. It’s great to see him still entertaining at almost 88. Have seen him many times and will continue to. The palace is a great venue to watch shows at. Damn right!!!
I actually saw her in Cain Park the day before this show, but this app wouldn't let me select that particular performance. In either case, if you like Joss and her style, you will love the show. She DOES NOT disappoint.
The Palace Theatre is a beautiful intimate venue with really nice staff. There is a wonderful outside area as well as tables in the lobby where people could enjoy a drink before the show. The venue has exceptional acoustics, and the security was present, but NOT standing out should there ever be a problem.
The concert started promptly at 8 Pm and David with his amazing band (each member has incredible resumes in music, too many to list here) and they played about an hour and 40 minutes nonstop to a very appreciative audience.
Dave seemed to have a great time and gave everyone the major hits of his career. (If he would have performed all of them, it would have been a 4-hour show!)
The highlight for me personally was an extended version of LOOK AT YOU LOOK AT ME from his first solo album. Both he and his keyboard player did passionately inspired solos.
Dave is NOT a flash guitarist, but he is one of the best on the planet! He's not there to dazzle with an aerobic display, but simply plays passionate solos for his very lyrical and melodic songs. In my personal opinion, he is the best guitarist with a Wha wha pedal as we have ever seen. He becomes one with that pedal and his guitar tones reflect that.
It was a perfect evening and then to top it off, Dave went to the lobby to spend time with fans taking photos and signing autographs. A rock and roll icon and Hall of Fame member taking the time to show HIS appreciation to his fans! Just a perfect evening!
Peter is as good as he was the first time time I saw him at Pittsburg's Civic Arena. This is the second time I've seen him at the Palace. The first time I took my Daughter app 12 years ago and this year I took my oldest granddaughter Callysta. She had heard some of his songs but really hadn't associated the songs with the name until we arrived at the theater. Her reaction was very similar to mine when I went to my first concert at the Civic Arena starring Peter (Herman) Noone and the Hermits at the age of 10. He has won the following of three generations in my family. The little we were able to talk to him after he was a very gracious person. I thank him for all the work he has done throgh the years and hope he continues for many more years. The man sitting beside me kept saying he hoped he would be good. I assured him he would be. After the show he and his wife told me at least 4 times while we walked down the stairs I was correct and Peter and the Hermets were the best concert performer he has seen.
The Palace is a lovely hall, but setup of the front of house is odd so drink and merch lines were ridiculous. The show, though, was wonderful! Ben and Tall Heights sounded great, and Ben played enough "favorites" to balance the new-album songs. There were two great, special moments: when "Rock This Bitch" started in tribute to Tall Heights, and when an audience member politely requested "Gracie" and Ben then played the song for her as the whole band watched him in seeming appreciation. The harmonies with Tall Heights during Ben's performance hearkened back to the Ben Folds Five days -- gorgeous. Musicianship of all players was terrific, but poor Derrick Wong was woefully underutilized for a featured player. Overall, it was a terrific performance by all!
Both Jesse Malin and The Wallflowers were incredible! ~ Stellar performances ~ But the sound system couldn’t handle The Wallflowers and I ran into more than several people that walked out before The Wallflowers finished~ They all said they couldn’t understand what Jakob was singing ~ Pity the venue doesn’t invest … sad indeed
The Collingsworth Family is an awesome family group who love the Lord and His people. They use their God Given talents to praise and worship our Great God and lift up and encourage His people. They are truly a blessing to see in concert! The concert at the Palace Theatre in Greensburg was a praise and worship service!! None better!!!
Bret Michaels was absolutely amazing as always. His band was awesome too. The sound man also did a wonderful job. I will be looking forward to seeing them again soon. Love this band! ❤️
It was freaking awesome!! Best time ever, first time being front row and at the stage!!! Awesome!! Thank you Bret Michaels and the BMB for putting on an awesome show once again!! Can't wait to do it again next year!!
Amazing performer in a beautiful smaller venue! Played a 75 minute first set and around a 90 minute second set including a couple encores. I could’ve listened twice that long!
Excellent show as always. Only complaint was lady next to us kept needing to exit so had to stand up and let her out 8 different times during the show. Has nothing to do with the quality of the show just shows how rude people are
