I was really worried that this concert was going to either be cancelled or cut short due to the weather. The last time they were here, a drunk driver hit a power pole right when Ivan was about to discuss his statement about retirement the night prior in Colorado. We only got 8 songs and never got to hear what he had to say about it
I'm sure everyone in Utah that was at that show (myself included) remembered it, but it was really cool that the band remembered it too, and even spoke about it on stage! I'm not sure if that had anything to do with it, but they ended up playing 15 minutes past curfew. They may get fined for that, so I hope they know how much it was appreciated!
If you haven't had a chance to see 5FDP live yet, you are missing out! One of our favorite concerts of the year so far.
Incredible show! Full of energy and positivity, which is what the world can use right now. It was in your face, and felt so good!!
They played mostly their older catalog, which (as someone who grew up with 311 in the early 90s) I didn't mind. That said, I also really like their newer stuff from MOSAIC, Voyager and Full Bloom. I would have loved to see at least one or two of the newer songs hit the playlist. It was also an uncharacteristically short setlist at only 16 songs.
Even with those minor complaints, that's not anything to take away from the amazing show that they put on.
First time in Salt Lake. The venue was amazing with the Wasatch Mountains in the background. Seeing Justin Moore in concert with Riley Green was a great way to close out my trip.
Funny that Justin was an opening act given his catalog of tunes. But I love that Riley shared when he went to an Eric Church concert, he went because Justin was on the playbill It was nice that he invited Justin to be a part of his road show.
I look forward to more great music coming from Riley. Thanks to all four musical acts for keeping it country.
Never heard of these guy, BUUUUUT when I was at the three day grace and breaking Benjamin concert in Salt Lake City and hearing this band for the first time and now listening to them on Spotify, return to dust are actually really really really good to listen to I actually love there music now, keep making music guys, you guys are doing great and your gonna be really big on the records
Every part was good! Least stressful show I've ever been to- it was so chill. Everyone including staff and the crowd were so kind. Leaving was so efficient. The show itself was beautiful. Very well done. The visuals were so cool. Hozier of course was so funny and kind. He is so good live. His voice really is that good. The band was so amazing too. Loved it!
BEST CONCERT EVER EVER EVER!!! IT GROUNDED BE AND LIFTED ME HIGHER & AWAKEND SOMETHING IN ME ALL AT THE SAME TIME. Hozier's SO incredibly humble and kind. He kept thanking us so much after every song and thanked the entire production, band, venue, everyone. first time i ever cried at a concert and the most magical one i've ever been too. he's such a good performer. he knows exactly what to do, how to do it and executed the concert so perfectly in my
opinion. his civil rights movement/speech was so powerful ! i love that man more and more. God bless!
An incredible show and AJR really knows how to bring it! Only missing one star because it was missing a key part of AJR - the A (Adam). He is apparently not touring now while he fixes the planet (I know, so selfish, right?!). It was still an incredible show, and I wouldn't miss it, but can't wait to see the trio on stage again!
Venue is huge but the line was bareable we got in quick they split the line in 3 for fast pass and no bag and bag check after we were in thru scan the ticket and plenty of beverage and food station along with bathroom the band was on time and played a different amount of songs overall it was a killer show
I’ve never been much of a country fan, in fact, I listen to rock and metal. I didn’t know many of the lyrics to the songs, but I still had a BLAST! They were so fun, they interacted well with the audience- and I literally went crazy when they started to play “Mr. Brightside” by The Killers. Overall, a very fun concert!!
The show was incredible, and definitely a must-see! He played a whopping 25 songs, including new songs and classics. The classics performed with a hint of country flair were really what set the performance apart and something you could only catch live!
Also, if you know how to play "Stay" on guitar and are brave enough to get on stage and play in front of 20,000 fans, get tickets to the pit and bring a sign. Just saying 😉
Of all the concerts I’ve ever been to, this concert was the most beautiful and emotional for me. The set list was perfect… I couldn’t have asked for more. Hozier is a poet with a transcendent voice, the band was amazing, and Allison is super sweet… I could go on and on, but I’ll just say that I feel so fortunate to have been there. 🥰🥹🐝🍀
This was magical, each member of this band brings their own beautiful peice to a whole that is unbelievable. I was completely enamored. Jon mess’s screams are so powerful and equally flawless live as it is in recording. Matt Mingus looks like he’s weightless when he’s playing. Andrew brings such a bubbly energy, you can’t help but dance along. Will in Swan is a god bringing his unique and pioneered flavor to every song. What a cozy fella. Don’t get me started on the sheer rock n roll essence that is Sergio Medina. His stage presence is so energetic! As well as Martin Bianchini did for this show, I’d love to see him in Secret Band live.
Fun show! It was nice to hear Filter for the first time in a long time. Ministry was great as usual though I was sad they didn’t play their favorite song of mine, ‘So What’. My first time seeing Alice Cooper live and I’m so glad I did. The whole band are professional entertainers. Very good! Also my first time seeing Rob Zombie and was overjoyed to hear my favorite White Zombie songs in the mix. He puts on an amazingly entertaining show and worked his a*s off to pump up the crowd, which wasn’t easy.
The openers were not that good. There were at least like 5 of them, and they took forever to get through their performances, which were boring. The reason I give the concert 4 stars though is because Limp Bizkit was AMAZING. I love how Fred Durst interacted with the audience and even brought 2 people on stage. The songs were great and Limp Bizkit were great performers.
Incredible energy, from both Alanis and Joan Jett. Usually I find the Union Amphitheatre to be a high stress venue, but this time things were very chill. The crowd was pretty respectful. Alanis was very interactive, and even came out to the back of the seated area for a number of songs. She was onstage a full 2 hours and kept things charged until the very end. We went home and tired and blissful.
One of the best nights of live music in my life. Well done all. I think I would go see it again if I could. The band, the crowd, the lights, and sound were electric. I had a feeling when I saw the full lineup we were in for something great. I would love to work on that tour and taste that as many times as possible. The chemistry is right.
Would've been great if a transformer wouldn't have been hit and knocked out the power part way through the last band. On top of that, Megadeth had technical problems and for whatever reason they had to cut their set in half. Even though there was one band left, why couldn't Megadeth's time be paused? Is it the venue's (Usana Amphitheater) fault‽ I've been waiting for 30+ to see Megadeth live since I knew of them! It was so great to see Dave and the band shred though, I truly hope they come back to Utah for another concert very soon!
One of the best concerts I have ever been to. The Bad Wolves rocked the house, Nothing More blew me away. Five Finger Death Punch played all of the songs I wanted to hear. Great performance with pyrotechnics and lasers. Breaking Benjamin played their hit songs and did not miss a beat. Such a Rocking venue. There was a big crowd and security did a good job of keeping things under control. All together this concert ROCKED!!!!!
in the many occasions I've seen Styx perform this had me one of the "tightest yet able to relax and enjoy" performances I've seen them play. I'm not talkin that I was sitting and relaxing, oh no, I was on my feet from the beginning to the end on this one. They were relaxed and playing without fear and the sound was tremendous the weather was perfect. A great night for all three bands actually.
