Such a magical experience. We were in awe of Agnes and her guest band members. The combination of the artists, the music, the sound and the amazing light show will remain in our memories for a long time to come
The show ran for less than 90 minutes plus an encore, so more would have been welcome. It’s not like there is a lack of material.
The band was primarily Vega and a guitarist, with some clever loop work, supplemented by an occasional cellist. The song list was a clever, mature mix of old and new, featuring the most entertaining songs from her new album.
Her vocals were drowned out slightly when all the players were active.
The show could have benefited from a bit more conversation between songs. Vega has been around long enough, with a lot of bolted-on fans, that the songs warranted more context (which could also have extended the show with minimal effort), making this a show about Vega and her music.
Her discussion on US politics was welcomed by the audience. She wisely kept away from Israel and Gaza. She doesn't need the global Ed Sheeran shadow.
Great show - great venue. Disappointed NOT to know in advance the correct playing times of the supports.
From the info given on the website, their playing was much shorter, hence I missed out on seeing one support, which I was keen to see.
Hope the info in the future is accurate.
Kate's stunningly constructed renditions and heartfelt memoirs, of flashbacks from the last 40 years of Australian Music. Fully supported by 2 emerging, powerhouse artists, Halloran and Harts (keep your ears open, in the future, for them .......)
WHAT A BELTER OF A NIGHT !!!!
I'd definitely rate it 5+ stars, but apparently the rating system is skewed to only 4.5 as a maximum 🤷🏻
Huge Congratulations, Kate Ceberano and Co.
YOU NAILED IT ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The venue was perfect, we couldn't fault it. As for Damien Leith, he was awesome. I loved how even though he sounded like Roy Orbison, he added his own unique character to the songs. I absolutely adored listening to the orchestra! Extraordinary. Thank you.
We had a wonderful experience of the Show from start to the end, performance from Anthony and Tim were a great tribute of Elton John & George Michael, we didn’t want the Show to end, and congrats to John Foreman and Australian Pops Orchestra and support Singers 👏👏👏🎶🎶🎶
What a privilege to be in Hamer Hall for this incredible concert! The music was superb and the icing on the cake was The Prayer. The Melbourne audience was brilliant too.
Let me say, Dan did not disappoint and if anything having the MSO as back up musicians was absolutely phenomenal. His performance was truly sensational. his voice is so beautiful and emotive. He put his heart and soul into his songs that he takes you on a journey as well as being blessed by hearing his vocals. It was pleasing to see him looking well and enjoying showing his craft along with the MSO. Truly moving experience that I will remember for a long time.
Forever a fan.

Fantastic, travelled from Wangaratta, Vic to see Dan Sultan perform with the MSO. A most brilliant night. He just gets better. My husband was blown away by the orchestra. Graphics were amazing. Kudos to the conductor.
The most amazing night ! Dan was just magnificent - his soulful beautiful voice with his fabulous songs were given space and “ breath” by the MSO . Pure magic . Hope there is an album of the night coming down the track . I expected a great night but it was far beyond my expectations - should have booked 2 nights !
Dan Sultan put on a brilliant show with the Melbourne Orchestra. It just took my breath away., A true artist and performer, I have been to 8 shows of Dan Sultan and each one of them has been unique and amazing.
It was a fantastic concert. The performance was wonderful and Colin Hay’s interactions with the audience were friendly and natural. His comments sometimes almost self-deprecating humour, but it set a wonderful tone.
The venue was great, too!
Amazing gig. His voice is EXACTLY as it has always been - some of the notes he hits are ludicrous. The band was great without being phenomenal... the drums were overplayed and the bass could be drone-y at times, but the sax is worth the price of admission alone. Of course, it's the songs that made it such a memorable night. In particular, Waiting For My Real Life To Begin was a cracker, and the perfect finale. Highly, highly recommend seeing Colin Hay if you get a chance.
Superb 2hour show, with Colin’s voice as strong as ever, peppered with a dash of wit in between an excellent mix of Men at Work and Colin’s solo songs and backed by an excellent band of Cuban musicians
Fabulous,of course. James is amazing on trumpet and piano and other instruments his band, with 2 of his sons, together with the singers and accompanying orchestra made for a fun night. Good songs / music, interesting / humorous patter and some other fun elements made for a great uplifting concert.
This event was absolutely awesome and very moving. The narrator, orchestra and singers were just so amazing and left me in so much awe. A wonderful tribute to a remarkable Australian legend who will forever be remembered as one of our most iconic musician, songwriter and performer, Archie Roach his music lives with us always and forever.
If I could give the Tommy Emmanuel concert 10 stars, I would!
It wasn’t just a concert, it was an experience!
There were many highlights, but the one that really touched me was when Tommy played & Anthony Snape sang “Burn For You”. When Tommy introduced it, he said something like “This song goes out to the person who sang it (John Farnham), with all my love.”
Tommy’s Melbourne concert was so good, that the earth moved in Melbourne, later that night!
I don’t know why I hadn’t seen Tommy a lot sooner & I would definitely see him again, if he did another Australian tour
My son went for a school excursion. He was dubious about the whole thing but came home raving about it! Thanks Baker Boy for letting our young people access the arts!!!
Amazing! I was obsessed with the whole thing! I loved that despite it being in a large hall it was like we were all in her garage listening to her jam and I loved that she did a song from Muriel’s Wedding
