We missed the first band but caught new years day and lacuna coil. The bands did great but the venue between throwing the spotlight in your eyes and their sound issues which are not typical in my experience, I was a bit annoyed. I've seen lacuna coil enough to know that it's not on them.
Really liked the two new sons they played, loved seeing them again as always.
First time seeing new years day, sometimes I thought her voice was going to just go out while screaming. Overall I was impressed with stage presence and enjoyed seeing them live.
There were some sound issues during their performance too but I don't put that on them more so the venue.
They are a group of very talented gentlemen don't get me wrong and the performance was astounding
The only reason Im giving only 3 stars is because for some reason I could NOT HEAR THE BASS in the mix. I tried different locations nearby the main board and it was the same issue. the drums were eating up on the bass. that was vert unfortunate because the only reason I went to this concert was to listen to Jacob Umansky
It would’ve been my 16th Thrice concert, but unfortunately, Dustin blew out his voice a few days before the concert and couldn’t perform. Hope he gets well soon. Will definitely see them next time around. I recommend everyone see them live at least once in their life. Such an amazing and versatile group. Love the band and wish all the members well.
I was wonderstruck! He came out and immediately played literally like 10 instruments and sampled it all and made a song out of it 😂. Coolest thing I’ve ever seen a musician do. He’s so insanely talented it’s crazy. Eventually you forget the crowd is there and it is just him. He plays classics with different instruments than originally. Amazing!!
The band was amazing! The live sound reinforcement (sound guy) left a little to be desired. For a guitar rich band like Big Wreck, you HAVE to have mids! The sound was scooped with all of the mid range dialed out of it, and waaay to much reverb on the vocals. Sounded like we were inside a beer can to be honest
Opening two-piece act, Caged Affair from Asheville, wasn’t bad. Ian and company brought the receipts! Sound could’ve been mixed better, but the crowd and the atmosphere were stellar! I can understand why they may not allow re-entry, but it could prove problematic. Drink prices were simply unreasonable-two watered-down bourbon/sprites with 10% tip were $40. Anywho, Big Wreck’s 2 hour performance overrode all my gripes…would definitely see them again!!!
Amazing band. Thornley drove the band through a set if old and new songs and absolutely killed. These guys from Canada are the real deal ,so don't miss a chance to see them live. Top 5 singer around period! On another note, try your hardest to miss the shitty opening cover band. A fucking joke they got to play before the mighty Big Wreck!
The show was absolutely amazing! All the bands who were there were awesome! Rivals and In her own words are amazing genuine people who were willing to meet fans and sign merch after their sets! It was my first concert and it was the best decision I made. I already can’t wait til all these bands go back on tour next year so I can see them on multiple dates!
What an incredible show. All of those guys can really play their instruments. It was a great performance. I’m glad I was able to catch them live. If your on the fence about going and seeing Richie, Billy and Mike, get off the fence and go see them. You won’t regret it. Only bad thing about seeing them is, I won’t be able to see them again soon.
This band has come a Long way from the Bug Jar to command any Stage!!! Daniel successfully conquered the Underground’s short stage to lead Paul’s B-Day sing-a-long into musical bliss for all in attendance! This “Car wash” left us beaming and spotless. Joseph never disappoints and Kevin gets major brownie points for “London Dungeon”love! Do NOT snooze on Joywave! They are one of the best Indie/alternative bands of the past decade+!!!
Opening with a track from their new album lll, The Winery Dogs set the tone for the show….anything goes and everything perfect. Kotzen was jaw dropping on guitar, Sheehan was, well, Sheehan, just incredible and Portnoy in my opinion, playing at his best with the Dogs, showing size doesn’t matter (when it comes to drum kits).
If you haven’t heard them or you have, but haven’t seen them live, I guarantee, you will not be disappointed.
Only downside….the show ended.
Any show with Colony House is going to be amazing. Last night was no exception. There is no band out there like Colony House. And this live show was off the charts. They put everything into every show. The audience was wild last night which gave them even more energy to draw from. You can never go wrong by attending a Colony House show.
The bands killed it. They we're all very interactive and energetic. The acoustics of the building could be way better. The speakers were set too loud, even for a concert, and it made it where it was hard at some points to understand the singers.
The wait in line to get in wasn't bad for Gen Admissions (about 22 minutes from doors opening).
The food was ok for the price, very greasy. The drinks were a bit overpriced for the amount you get. It was quite crowded when you first get in to the point you couldn't tell the difference between the merchandise line and the people standing in rows to watch the show. There was no point in the row or section shown on the ticket either as everyone just stood wherever they wanted, crowding in front of the merch table and bar and even standing in the way back by the entrance.
We are the ANIMA!!!!!!!
Lacuna Coil was awesome as always. They seem to get better all the time . Their unique vocal style , beauty and power , is unmatched in the music world and will never be eclipsed by any other artist. The music is heavier than death and as beautiful as life itself. The band is tight as hell and the added costumes gives a unique visual affect. They are very humble and recognize that without us , the fans, they would not be where they are today. That makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside. I’ve been listening to them for 20 years and their albums get better and better every release, and their older music ages like fine wine. It’s aWin win experience.
This was my third time seeing Mayhem -- the other two times were during the De Mysteriis tours when they performed the album in its entirety. Everytime was amazing. This particular show, however... it takes the cake. I have no words for how absolutely mind blowing it was. Mayhem played for about an hour and a half, and performed every song I could only dream of hearing live. Up until now. Skip school, quit your part-time job, say you can't make it to the funeral of your father's aunt's grandma's brother... DO WHATEVER YOU CAN TO SEE MAYHEM ON THIS TOUR!
The Underground is an outstanding venue, and the show was even better. One of the best concerts I’ve been to in a while; I missed the opening act but Weathers has become one of my new favorite bands, and even though I knew they’d be amazing, Dreamers still blew me away. I very much recommend seeing this band live before you die
Amazing. They were funny and talented. I love a band with a cello as part of the group. This is my third time I’ve seen them, and they are just as fresh. They played songs from the past and off their new album. They even took suggestions from the audience which was fun because they had to stumble through some songs they hadn’t played for awhile. Still fresh and fun.
It was amazing! I could swear that Jonah made eye contact with me a couple times but that’s probably in my head😂. Also I was dancing and then Corbyn saw me pointed at me and then did the same dance move😱. Afterwards we waited for them to come to the bus and after a lot of the fans left Zach came back out and my friend told him to have a safe trip or something like that and he said thanks😁. If I had to pick a day to have a Groundhog Day situation with (repeating the same day over and over) then this would be the day that I would pick.
