This show was my first FNGRS CRDDD event and techno concert. I came from Michigan to spend NYE/NYD in San Diego to see Kasablamca. I love their sound and how they perform. I highly recommend anyone to truly listen to their lyrics as it has such deep meaning to healing and to our soul purpose here on earth. I had so much fun and looking forward to more. I love you Kasablamca. The VIP tickets were only worth the front row experience and that is the only benefit for the price.
Every act in this show was good and some like Paul Cauthen are actually even better live than on his album. Zach Top feels like he is going to be the future of country music. He has 90's vibe to his songs and sounds like a cross between Clint Black and George Strait. Post Malone is an incredible entertainer. He sounds so good live. His humble thanks after nearly every song feels genuine. Post played every song you wanted to hear and played a solid hour forty. Worth every dollar.
That Show was SICK! Crazy Energy & quite the Performance by Ms. Sofi & Mr. Tukker. Gallagher Square is an awesome venue. I highly recmmend the Venue, and my Wife and I will definetly go see Sofi Tukker again when they return to San Diego!
The bands were great, love Idles and Deftones.
Absolutely hated the venue. The food was atrocious, and there were NO NAPKINS anywhere! Also, I'm a coffee addict (my fault) and the only thing with caffeine they had was Coke. I don't drink soft drinks. Disgusting. I thought it was going to be a festival- with food trucks, cool drinks, maybe a record store pop-up. I'm sure Deftones had no control over that stuff, but def would go next year if it was at a different location. Petco Park is awful.
No words can express how amazing this epic show was!!! The celebration of 2 Green Day albums feels like we witnessed history.
Every Green Day concert are a community of celebration of music and life. And love the visual experience ( and the antics).
Until next time ... thanks from San Diego
Always an epic show, and the energy at the San Diego show was no exception. Rancid concerts are a community of celebration of music and life.
It is end to end music but also loved the shared moment of what the Rancid fans mean to the band (and the crowd frenzy showed that we feel the same way).
Until next time ...
Def Leppard did not disappoint! They came out with high, positive energy and kept it going through the entirety of the show. They worked the catwalks and performed on the stage, the catwalks and at the end of the catwalk giving everyone in attendance attention. They sounded like the seasoned professionals they are. Soooo enjoyed their performance and can’t wait till the next time! ….and there will be a next time!!! 🙌🏼
My seat was on the field. Sound was great. Blink was fun i hadnt seen them since 2009 so set list worked for me other than wanting a few more songs from the new album. Concert was a blast, It made me want to go seem them again
Awesome concert! Billy Joel and Sting are in their 70’s and still rocking it even in the rain! I would say that Petco Park needs to work on their sound system. Seemed like the speakers were out of sync for the first hour of the concert.
The event was one of the best Dia De Los Deftones ever, having been at all four, I speak from the experiences I've had at Petco Park, San Diego over the years. Truly a great night. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys festivals.
Great to hear live! We got an acapella 'i am stretched on your grave rendition for the spooky season. Free patches comemorating the performance date were given away and that was so charming! (I'm usually buying patches to commemorate live shows!) I loved seeing how aggressively he performed take me to church, and it was great seeing him highlight his bandmates and crew. And giving permission to let the crowd join in and singing for parts was great, but it never overpowered his voice or performance
It was so beautiful, they were so humble and positive and even when a fan was injured, they stopped a song to make sure they were ok. They sound exactly as they did in 2003, behind talented and amazing band! Ryan Key is still such a cutie!
This was literally one of the best shows I've ever seen and I've seen thousands of shows over the past 25 years. Duke Dumont is such a maestro of a producer and I'm so very grateful I could experience this show!
Everything about this event kicks ass. They go all in on the Día de los Muertos theme with beautiful artwork, cempazúchitl and calaveras everywhere, face painting, people in costumes, and even some of the food. That alone gives this a different vibe than any other show. The other thing that sets Día de los Deftones apart is the lineup, always a wide variety of musicians from metal to hip hop to electronic, this year did not disappoint, culminating in a great performance by Deftones. With as much material as they’ve produced over the years it’s impossible to include ALL the fan faves, but they hit many of them as well as a couple of surprises like Goon Squad and 976-EVIL. Overall a great show!
It was a great concert I was so stoked to finally see busta, nas, and the clan but some of us came a lil late also there was a long line so we missed a quite a lot and don’t get me started with the security they were being hella rude
Bad bunny’s performance and vocals were great to witness! The lights, dancers and special appearances were chingon! However, the only downside would be that the floor seating had issues with people standing on their seats and blocking the view for everyone else. Besides that, it was a night to remember!
This was the first time for me to see Motley Crue in a big venue. I have had my tickets for the past 2 1/2 years and held on tight hoping the concert would eventually take place. I saw them at SoFi Saturday night. I love Motley Crue and I go way back to the early 80's in Hollywood. The sound guy who was in charge of the Foot bass drum for Tommy was not paying attention. I was in the 9th row and my heart and ears literally hurt every time he hit that drum. Could barely make out the song they were singing and I just saw Vince at the Long Beach grand prix not too long ago and he looked and sounded good. Not Saturday night. Main complaint was the sound, it was really horrible. I hope they come back for another tour one day in a smaller venue so I can see them one more time. Overall the Stadium Tour Rocked!
Loved all the bands (Thundercat, HAIM, & Red Hot Chili Peppers), disliked the venue. I get that they needed a venue for a huge audience, however, the sound quality, lighting, and visuals were disappointing. Our seats were located behind home plate and the venue didn't even remove the fly ball netting which caused further view obstruction. The giant picture screens were also poorly managed, as whomever was operating the cameras either failed to capture much of the action on stage. At several points the screens were just black. The majority of the seats are not floor seats/ GA so you would think they would have more of a care for the audience who were farther away from the stage. Definitely a venue made for sporting events, not music. Doubt I'll come back to this venue, but would see RHCP again in a heartbeat!
First time going to see Deftones...HOLY SHIT were they on fire! They played Passenger and Prince, two songs that me and my brothers didn’t think they’d ever play live but Chino unleashed his inner Maynard James Keenan and slayed it. Also, Chino’s screams we’re on point that night in almost every song. I know he kind of gets a bad rap because he can’t produce album quality vocals in a live performance, but he blew that out of the water.
Now to the rest of the concert...
Gojira slayed, that’s all there is to it, nothing more nothing less.
Chrvches...they were really good but the crowd just wasn’t in to them because they were literally right before Deftones. So, it was unfortunate but they were still awesome. I hope they do the festival again next year!
Doobie Bros were solid. I had never seen Zac Brown band and was blown away. IMO they stole the show and that’s not an insult to the Eagles who were fantastic. Joe Walsh played the best I have seen him in 3 other shows. Vince Gill was great but would have loved to hear more of his amazing guitar skills especially on ‘I Can’t Tell You Why’, but they were great overall.
