Great show. Mo was charming and the set was solid with lots of variety. Drums and bass backing band along with some solo guitar/vocals. So glad we went!
Joel was amazing, this tour was very intimate and featured mixed media presentations. I loved hearing the back stories and people who inspired Joel to write some of his best music.
After the show, Joel was so generous with his time, talking to audience members, signing merch, etc. Joel is truly an incredible Canadian (and human being). A genuinely kind, creative and caring person. I feel lucky and blessed to have been at the show. I've seen Joel at Massey Hall, and a few other venues... but this show was small and special... right up there with Massey Hall! A cherished memory for the rest of my life. Thank you Joel and the Ironwood!
Both Scott and Corin Raymond were great.
Petunia always delivers. His (their) upbeat danceable rockabilly style tunes, with the lovely melodies about life in the prairies, were delightful and got me shaking my body, to the vibrant beats . If you want a good musical time, they will make you atleast bop your head with a gleeful smile and happy heart. HEART MUSIC
Dave Gunning is a superb entertainer. He’s funny, personable, humble, and a heck of a great songwriter & storyteller. With his long-time friend,
JP Cormier, they make a great act and play off and with each other perfectly. I’ve been a long-time Gunning fan, and never tire of his songs and stories and humour. Don’t miss these guys if you get the chance to see them!
Go see Chest Fever. Do it.
Great show! Connie continues to amaze us with her wonderful songs and her beautiful voice. "Keep Going" is just the song every one needs to hear right now. "It's The Woman Who Pays" is the most serious song on the album and the most important."This is not a Sentimental Song" is a beautiful tribute to couples who have been together a long time. Her sons Aleksi and Gabriel share the spotlight and they are both great musicians. Aleksi opened the show with songs from his first album and clearly he has inherited his mother's huge talent. Gabriel's powerful voice can switch from opera to folk with ease. The last member of this amazing family is husband and father Paul Champagne who plays backup and takes care of the details so everything runs smoothly.
It was our first time at the Ironwood. It's a great venue with good food and good service.
First time at the Ironwood....great venue...staff was dialed in and friendly...great service! And of course Jimmy Rankin was excellent as always.
What a show. The crowd was rocking!!! Petunia is a great artist & his band was excellent.Venue is great. We were at the Ironwood Stage & Grill in Calgary. As always can’t say enough about Pat & his staff.
Best concert I've been to in forever!
Daniel's guitar skills are off the charts!
He is so totally immersed in the music - he pulls you right in with him.
Love these guys' musical genius, stage enthusiasm, great original tunes ... highly entertaining and fun ... a musical and spiritual experience of the best kind.
Third time I’ve seen them in a year and brought 33 others with me this time. All were mightily impressed. Every time was different and better and the musicianship was evolving the entire time . Will bring 50 or more next time they’re here.
