One of the best concerts I've been to in a long, long time. Amazing performance. Hope she comes back soon!!
She's so good talented. I love that her songs resonate with a lot of what people grew up with the struggle of having to make your own decisions. And go against your parents is so true. I feel that so many people can relate, and i'm really what I went
This band has one of the best live shows I've seen in a while. I've been a Transviolet fan for years but something always came up when they were playing in my town. (The last time was their last tour in SF with another fave artist of mine opening, King Mala. Still butthurt I missed that show a year later, even tho I bought tix!). Sarah and the band are mesmerizing and the sound system in the theater was one of the better setups I've been to lately with very little to no audible distortion during the set. *So* glad we happened to drive by the theater earlier that day and be able to catch this amazing group.
Portland need to give this band more love than it has the last few Transviolet shows. Weeknight shows can be tough, but this band is SO GOOD! They keep developing into rockstars with every release they turn out and the music and sound continue to raise the bar. At the Mission Theater, Sara owns not just the stage, but the crowd as well. Even with her kic- ass platform boots, she is tiny, but what amazing power she has. Her voice goes from beautiful alto to deep bass and back showing off her vocal skills and lyrical deepness while the band, minus Jonah out for family reasons, blast the entire building with their atmospheric electro alternative rock, sliding into ballads and stomping through pop songs like Supernatural and a few off the new EP Softcore. (Out today.) I love this band and I am far too old to be into young , current bands, but Transviolet transcends age and time. My daughters introduced me to the group 5 shows ago and I can only say they get better every show and if you miss their next Portland stop, or don't scream out the love these people deserve, you are really missing out on something special, and you kinda suck .
Fans of Lush or Piroshka will be super pleased with this show but the Miki Berenyi Trio seemed to save some of the most energy for their newer songs that they've been writing in recent weeks/months. I hope to see Miki perform again soon!
Great venue and a show that I won’t soon forget. Stephen is an amazing talent and we felt lucky to meet him (and his cardigan sweater). Would go out of our way to see him again!
These guys rock some Dead masterfully woven together with Steely Dan songs. They blew me away. I will definitely make it a point ro see them again.
Music was amazing. But they started at 8pm and were off stage by 10:30 or something ridiculous. The venue was a hot sweaty mess. Almost unbearable. Granted it was a 90degree day but the A/C was insufficient and made the experience less than pleasant. Had I known it would be a hot fast and fun show I would have timed things differently. All revved up and no where to go.
I first saw Almost Monday when the opened for Joywave almost 2 years ago. They were so green, but you could see the talent. When they performed at the Mission, they were confident, energetic and fun to watch and hear. It was fantastic to see the growth of this band in their performance and songwriting. Definitely check out Almost Monday when they visit your town.
Great show and the Mission is a nice small venue in a nice area of Portland. But why the heck does almost monday open for Beach Weather! almost monday is a much better band.
Great venue and a great show. This woman can play so well it is inspiring. Both her and the opening singer were great and worth seeing time and time again.
they’re amazing!!! great venue and incredible music, the hearts of the artists are beautiful and it overflowed so deeply. would go back in a heartbeat.
The venue could use a little more ventilation, maybe some fans cuz it was hot in there! Lol but the BANDS were amazing! 🤩 I’m such a fan of The Home Team. If you have a chance to see them live, you absolutely should. This was my second time and it won’t be my last. 🫶🏼
We had an amazing time! Great small venue, and a stellar performance by Transviolet! We really enjoyed Jagwar Twin too! 5 stars and I cannot wait to see Sarah and the gang next time they come to Oregon! 🔥💯❤️🧡💛💚🩵💙💜
This is a phenomenal band that I would take anyone to see. The musicianship was stellar and the all original set written by the lead guitarist and vocalist was very impressive. They definitely brought a touch of Scotland to Olympia with their infectious sound that included two bagpipe players who also doubled on tin whistles and flutes, a fiddler, accordion player, keyboardist, funky bass player and an incredible drummer. This eight piece ensemble finished the night to a crowd on their feet wanting more.
Absolutely incredible event. Dana Skully and the Tiger Sharks were incredible and I’m so glad I got there early enough to see them. Pigeon Pit blew my expectations and I was able to sing along to almost every song. Then there was Apes of the State, where the whole band created immaculate vibes and played fantastic.
This was such a great show, and I absolutely loved this venue! I also got to meet so many artists and they were all so sweet.
Amazing show as to be expected from Wicca Phase, Fish Narc and Yawns- but Sophie Powers was mind blowing to see perform live for the first time. The venue staff were chill, professional and fast, and the venue itself was wonderful for photos and filming the sets.
So much fun! Absolutely love Hey Violet! Loved seeing Wrenn too! Had such a blast, hope they come back soon! 🤍
Animal Sun, King Mala and Kelsy and her band were all amazing. Amazing performances and all super super sweet. Thank you for such a great night <3
