I feel Alex ought to be holding his own and he be the main event. We weren't interested in the other artists. Alex seemed a tad distracted for whatever reason asking the crowd for reminders of lyrics 🤔.
Oh well we still enjoyed his presentation, he's still "got it". A life long admired fan, if you like, i was glad I got to see him in person after all these years...
Emily Wurramara's show was extraordinary, I already loved her brilliant music and the band was sublime live, as were the support act Chasing Ghosts. The songs are fantastic and atmospheric, hearing the stories behind them was wonderful and touching. Emily writes the most beautiful songs rich in feeling and experience. She yarned and played with the audience encouraging us to karaoke with no shame (no second invite needed). Emily was kind and generous to the audience, especially for one troubled soul who got a bit too drunk. Her laugh is magic! I'll happily travel to see her/them again, Emily is a born performer and a rising star.
Would have to be one of the best bands getting around. Great energy, great muso's and friendly and gracious guys even after all this time. Should have a higher level of success and acclaim in my opinion but I hope they keep playing as i will keep going to seé them! Just getting better as time goes on!
OMG My name is Eloise and I'm a huge fan could you please give me VIP tickets front row to a concert in BRISBANE with my bestie Paige. You're so nice and your show was so good.
Awesome show, the lads performed really well, and were really cool to have a word to, they all signed their new album on CD for me.
Have been a big fan since hearing their song reaper on Spotify, all their work is top notch, was my first time seeing them, I'm very glad I went 🤘
Brilliant! A commanding, captivating, and energetic performance by someone blessed with a rare power and emotion in her voice. Her band also well and truly delivered the goods.
They played an incredible set and I had an amazing time. Plus Teddie was back. Although the crowd barely moved and I almost felt rude trying to start a mosh. No mosh started even for ‘walk over my grave’ Wake up people. And before everyone says they aren’t a mosh band. They had great mosh the previous 2 time I’ve seen them.
I was at the extra show before the northcote one. At Oh! Jean Records. It was a such a lovely and intimate show. Got to say hi and have the record signed. thanks a lot for this matt!
I’ve been fortunate to have seen The Heart Aches at this venue twice, and I can honestly say that as much as I am proud of the band’s Adelaide provenance, that this was their spiritual home. Hard rock, gentle souls. The place radiates love, as does the band. This show was the second and one of six I saw on the goodnight tour, and it was probably the best. So much fun. So much joy. So much sweet sadness in saying goodbye.
A great show from Hannah performing her new album. The band was very tight, everyone enjoying themselves. The new songs are very strong and rock out. Highlights for me were … Take the Blame, Haiku Song, Backsliding … actually, all of them! But The Hammond Song was a surprise, and a great choice.
Sensational concert. Been following Teramaze for a while. Was glad to see l they can reproduce as well Live as in the Studio. It seemed like there was an issue with the foldback which caused issues with the mix a little but still sensational concert. Was tempted to follow to Barwon Hotel for next night to watch them again. Only thing that stopped me was a home reno gone wrong and needed a timer to fix my mistake. Looking forward to the next concert guys. Will be there with bells on. Next time I will be booking both concerts and heading to both. Would love to see a longer set from these guys.
Spent the most amazing evening with Boy and Bear last Tuesday night getting to know more things about them as band members in a relaxed, funny but informative interview with Bridgette Hustwaite and then witnessed a spectacular acoustic set by the boys to be finished off with them signing their newly released incredible new self titled album and in my case, a couple more albums, I happen to have 😆 thanks boys. 🥰
It was truly a night I will remember forever so in the words of Molly Meldrum “ do yourself a favour and rush out and get this album and see one of their upcoming shows, you won’t regret it!
Very impressed with Northcote Social Club too as a venue. 👍🏼
One of Australia’s most underrated bands , incredibly talented musicians, they were absolutely amazing !
Also The Best Sound in any venue in Melbourne!
This was such a good show, every artist were so appreciative of the crowd. The WILSN band were tight & the brass section added so much. Very enjoyable & a voice that melts hearts but also so full & rich. The crowd loved it & we were the lucky ones.
Brilliant show, well worth the ticket price which to be fair should have cost more.
Jerry Lee Lewis x Led Zeppelin x The Stooges plus more.
A true rock n roll experience.
Any band that got Melbourne Indie Audiences to move and sing deserve respect.
6 Stars
Lovely show and set of great songs, launching Jordie’s House Tapes Vol. 1 and 2.
A real troubadour with lovely banter. This show included a treat with Liz Stringer, a surprise guest and Brendan Welch supporting.
One of my favourite artists to see perform live, she has such an amazing vocal control and stage presence in bringing the crowd in. On stage she is like a modern day Chrissy Amphlett but with her own special brand.
I can’t explain the feeling properly but there’s an almost hypnotic feeling in her music and songwriting where you can’t take your eyes off the performance.
Northcote Social Club also at its usual best, venue room is great.
Was the perfect venue for them to get back into the swing of things. Screamfeeder have a great back catalogue to blend into the new songs from their latest album 5 Rooms which was very well received by the strong crowd that filled the room. It makes it a great night when the band is having a fun time onstage and brining the fans along with them for the ride.
