Town Hall Seattle

Amazing show as always from this incredible talent and his band in a historic venue. Recommend!!

Two simply amazing musicians from Mali (Vieux Farka Touré and Bassakou Kouyate) with their respectively amazing accompanists (all were wonderful, Kouyate's wife, Amy Sacko, almost stole the show)! I learned yet again to silence my mind in order to fully appreciate the experience of being in their presence. The sound at Town Hall could perhaps be better, but I have no way of knowing whether the space itself has limitations, the amplification system and/or its operation could be improved, or whether my placement was at fault (that seems likely, I was far back). None of that really mattered…see my second point.

Mix was not good... so hard to hear the solos and the vocals were pretty much inaudible
