What Fun! Marx voice sounds amazing. Time has been good to him. The interaction with the audience was super - he didn't just run through the play list. I feel like I left with a little piece of Richard Marx.
I was amazed!! Steve Vai added so much to the show! Adrian was ADRIAN!! Tony was TONY!! Mr. Carey was amazing. King Crimson LIVES!!!
PS- on “Elephant Talk” he left out the “B” words - Balee-Hoo, Balderdash, Brew-HaHa, Bicker,Bicker,Bicker.., 😎💟🕉️
Wow! AG never ceases to amaze me! It was a beautiful evening of tears and laughter!
Amazing!! I can’t believe how great Jon still sounds!! Awesome set list!!! We had a great time!! And you can tell that Jon is so appreciative of everyone that came to see him and the band.
Brian never disappoints as he is the consummate professional and a fascinating entertainer. He's at the top of the genre.
It was great. I have been wanting to see Brian and his band for a very long time, so when I received notice last year that he would be in Thousand Oaks, CA in 2024, I immediately texted my daughter to order tickets before they ran out. I turned 88 years old on March 9, 2024, so this was the beginning of my birthday celebrations.
In spite of my sciatic pain, when they played "Get Up,' I was right there with them, swaying and waving my hands. It was an electrifying show. I am so very glad I was able to go. My 27 year old granddaughter who went with my daughter and me, wasn't familiar with his music, but she certainly did have a marvelous experience. My daughter was "WOO WOOING." I watch him on YouTube, on the Friday night show, when it's on. I wanted them to play & sing "It's Friday Night," but since the performance at Kavli Theater was on Thursday night, I guess that's why they didn't do it.
I especially liked the music with the deep down bass and the lighting was terrific. Anyone in doubt about going, let go of your fears and attend. You won't regret it. I promise you.
Amazing show.
What’s toooo short. Needed to hear more. Would have loved to hear some old songs from Secrets and Something About Love albums.
Great violinist and such a talented family! Beautiful numbers. Enjoyed the soloist, the dancers and the choir. Would have loved to hear one or two numbers featuring the choir. My guests who came said the same thing. Nice message; could use an upgrade on the production values. It was hard to come out on a weeknight before Christmas. If looking for more of an LA County crowd, maybe a smaller venue near Pasadena or Glendale would have been a better choice. Or move the day to Friday at 8pm or a Saturday. No one wants to fight the traffic after fighting it to and from work. Thousand Oaks is not a convenient drive for people living in LA.
Wonderful show. Lodge is in fine voice and has all the energy he needs to rock out. (He's 78, but you wouldn't know it.) It was nice to have Graeme Edge's voice doing spoken word parts from Nights in White Satin, and the tribute to Ray Thomas was appreciated. John's stories were a perfect addition to the song choices. I was pleased to hear Saved by the Music from Blue Jays, the record he made with Justin Hayward in 1975.
I saw the Moodies in 2018, just before Graeme passed. I understand why Justin doesn't want to tour as the Moody Blues with only two left, but from a fan's POV, nobody else sounds right singing Tuesday Afternoon and Nights in White Satin. Not even Jon Davison (currently singing Jon Anderson's parts in Yes). Missed having a flautist, too. But I would go again. The Moody Blues have a special place in my heart. My gateway drug to prog rock, and it never got indulgent.
The Kavli Theater is a lovely small venue with excellent acoustics, even in the balcony. I'll be back to see Tower of Power (current lineup) this fall.
It was a great show. Also the sound was excellent. Would go to this theatre again thou it’s a 2 hour drive each way.
He was fantastic!!! So funny. I love clean comedians and the fact that he’s a Christian one sweetens it more. And the opening comedians were just a great also. I am gonna look them up and follow them on instagram and see if they are anywhere else. Hopefully they’ve got YouTube shows as well! Great great funny show!!!
Great show! Boy George was awesome as usual same as Berlin. Richard Blade was an awesome host and super sweet taking pictures with us too! Super fun night!
Great show!! Even though I have seen them several times, they continue to provide an awesome show each time!!!
Venue was great. Had great seats. Jeff Beck was rocking the house with the power and precision of his wailing guitar, accompanied by a great female bass player and an amazing German female drummer. The two of them were serious musicians of the stature of Jeff Beck. The synergy and the precision of the trio was impressive.
Then Johnny Depp showed up. Hence the 3 stars. Depp's appearance dragged the show down with Depp's morose songs and marginal voice. I like Johnny Depp. I love his body of work on movies. He is not terrible but he is nowhere even close to the level of musical talent and ability as the three others on the stage. Depp was a sideshow. It was akin to Tom Waits joining in on a few songs at a Muse concert.
Jeff Beck, even at 78 (wig and all) has not lost his edge. He’s always been edgy. With Depp, he’s feeling 18 again. Hoping he’d reach way back to the Yardbirds days, or even Beck’s Bolero, but yeah, that’s a long ways back, Johnny Depp, was, well, very much himself, edgy as well. A perfect pairing. The highlight for me was their cover of Killling Joke’s Death and Resurrection Show as their encore. Loud, intense punk metal. You go, Jeff!
Great show! Had not seen Jeff Beck perform since April of 1999 --- when I saw him in both San Francisco and Los Angeles. Love the Fred Kavli Theatre! Getting out of the parking structure was a bit hectic though. Second time I have been to that venue in Thousand Oaks --- the other time was for Natalie Merchant solo. Definitely would return.
My first time at Fred Kavli Theatre in Thousand Oaks and had a great time seeing Dave Mason there. I will surely come back to this venue to see other great artists.
Love them. Not many original members still but they sound great! Harmonies are solid. Wish they would play in bigger cities- hard to get to from major metro areas outside the state.
Al and Brian singing Xmas carols so awesome. Then his hits blew us away. Love Brian Wilson concerts every time, go!
Richard Marx puts on an incredible show. He is so funny and so personable. AND so talented. Seeing him live takes you back in time and his songs will stay in your head long after the concert is over.
