Fabulous night, such a nice cosy venue too , Randall was brilliant and encouraged the audience to participate, saw him in the Oran mor too, such a good guy and loves life even through tragedies which he sings about and brings us all together
A great gig made better as Neil's other band, The Remainder was the support. A great selection of Blancmange songs scanning their career and the audience were great and involved.
ST LUKES IS A GREAT VENUE AND GUN ARE ONE OF THE BEST LIVE BANDS I'VE SEEN SO LOOKING FORWARD TO THE BARROWLAND GIG IN DECEMBER
Sweet Princess indeed….Didn’t think I’d hear them do the old ‘un’s again (at least so many of them !!!) Then a proper encore covering plenty of the Stumpy New Long Leg . The venue is off the hook good - defo in the Glasgow top 3 now with Barrowlands and SWG3….. Top
Gravedancer is lovely fabulous funny guy. Big fan.
Already wiped the second act from my brain. Nice voice. That's the best I can say.
Shawn James has a VOICE that absolutely just does not come across on his records, has to be seen to be believed.
Was there both nights (mon 18th and tues 19th). This man’s soul pours into the room with every note! His ability to captivate, entertain and eloquate is second to none. His humility and genuine love for his fans is more than apparent. Roll on next tour!
Have seen BSC about four times, and they never disappoint.
Again the show at St Luke’s was a sell out, atmosphere and sound were perfect.
Will keep going to see them, they give you a fantastic show, money well spent. 🎼🤘🎼
Great wee gig, brilliant wee venue. Good to see the guys still have plenty of energy having not seen them since Barralands in about '92. Great fun
This is a great intimate venue. Lapsley was amazing. Such a beautiful voice and so charismatic. Loved her chat and stories about each track. Played her new album Cautionary tales of youth and some oldies Womxn, Love was like the rain and operator. Loved it and feel like fans need to experience her live set ❤️
Hundred miles an hour delivery, incredible dexterity on banjos, mandolins and guitars, and a mix of comic and tragic songs of their own devising plus a generous dollop of country styled covers of pop and heavy metal classics. Their tongue always in their cheek but you have to admire their musicianship.
Amazing gig! Had an incredible time and even met some new friends. Only downside is they didn’t play 30 (although not their fault as the venue had a cerfew)
Venue’s atmosphere was top notch and HEALTH fit with it perfectly. Everything from Jake’s somber but lively vocals to Benjamin going ham on the drums and to top it all off, Johnny going absolutely feral on guitar. Was so worth the wait and can’t wait for them to come back. <3
First time seeing the band and what a night it was. Sound was perfect , best I’ve ever heard it in St Luke’s.
The energy and uplifting songs whipped the crowd right up and you could see it in the band also who reacted brilliantly. I can’t wait to see Red Rum Club again !
Possibly the best gig I've attended. The band were absolutely fantastic with an infectious energy and phenomenal technical ability on display.
Really playing with and building up the crowd. I expected a great show having been listening for years but being in the room was an experience that far surpassed and not to be missed.
Hearing Daro Behroozi holding it down on Bari and bringing his style to those parts was really something! Possibly the busiest player last night?
Joshua Gawel flying higher than I even thought possible and with great consistency.
Josh Holcomb just blazing that trombone was fantastic and grounded by Brother Ben with some solid and really technical drumming!
Nora Nalepka coming in very strong on that Bass with a really lovely rounded tone, percussive where necessary and really powerful.
I don't know who the other guy on the Alto was but I want to!
The sound was also really well balanced and clean so it was great to hear everything!
Thanks to the Band for making the trip and the crowd was pretty good to be part of too!🙂
My only mild gripe would be with the merch table as I had held off on supporting the kickstarter for the New Album and hoped to pick up that and some back catalogue at the gig only to find that cds were being charged at £15 (more than the online purchase prices) and New Day wasn't there. 😢
That's just a lesson learned for me though and it spoiled nothing!
Jim on great form tonight. Played a mix of new and older songs. Was the same guys with him as when we saw Jim at the Jazz Cafe 11 years ago. That was my all time favourite of the times we have seen him.
Walker Hayes is an absolute lyrical genius! The tour was fantastic and Walker along with Tyler Denning, Rachel Wammack and Danielle Bradbery were superb! Amazing stage presence and afterwards they did a meet and greet which was amazing! Thank you all!!!
The show was tremendous, batter than I
could have ever expected. Cates voice and the accompanying sax/clarinet with the piano was just fantastic.
Highlight was a cover of Paul McCartney song Waterfalls, her voice was totally sublime.
Brilliant night. Mix of old and new both done with the usual massive energy levels you get from these guys. They've got it that's right they've got it.........
Excellent venue. Big enough for a good crowd and small enough to keep it intimate. Had a great night. Thanks. 😁
Drake was excellent!! We thoroughly enjoyed the gig! Only thing that spoiled it for us was the music that could be heard from another area of the venue. Having been to St Luke’s on numerous occasions this is the first time we have encountered this issue.
