Stoughton Opera House

Sierra is an unbelievable talent and surrounds herself with others that are clearly master musicians. I appreciate her personable nature and am blessed with the opportunity to see her travelling and performing locally!

The Sue Foley show at the Stoughton Opera House on November 2, 2024 was absolutely awesome! The Stoughton Opera House is a beautiful and intimate venue with nostalgic ambiance, comfortable seating and wonderful acoustics! Sue Foley is such a talented blues guitar player! She started her show with a solo acoustic set, playing songs from her latest CD One Woman, One Guitar. Her selections from the album provided a variety of styles from legendary female blues guitarists. After a short intermission, she returned to the stage with her bass player, her drummer, and "pinky", her electric guitar. Together the trio treated us to a jammin' electric set with a variety of selections from Sue's blues career. Sue Foley is one of my very favorite blues performers and I try to get to every one of her shows within a reasonable distance of my home in the twin cities of St. Paul and Minneapolis. Thank you, Sue for the wonderful show and I hope to see you again soon!

Wow!!! She plays blues guitar as well as anyone I’ve seen, and I’ve seen a few. Her acoustic set was fabulous.

Such a great entertainer and story teller. Her music reaches me and inspires me. I first got the opportunity to see Carsi at Mile of Music in Appleton Wisconsin, and when I saw she was at the Stoughton Opera House I was happy to take the opportunity to make my way to the show. It was my first time at the Opera House and I really love the venue.!

Amazing show. Beautiful music and awesome musicianship. Alison and her husband were also very engaging and appreciative. Their daughter sang several songs and has a very nice voice. Far exceeded my expectations. Love the variety of musical genres they cover.

The venue is magnificent. Take in a show there sometime soon. Hawktail threesome arrived with Vasen twosome in tow, a wonderful Swedish band that has been an inspiration for a whole host of American musicians, among them the Hawktail trio. It quickly became clear that the personality of the gig belonged to the Vasen, spinning tales and providing a sort of quixotic comic relief. Tales of doing gigs whilst on a bike tour, without a word of explanation of how they transported their musical gear. Clearly they enjoyed speaking with their audience. And this was the Nyckelharpa's first visit to Wisconsin! The combined musicians were delightfully in tune with each other, the highlight being the most powerful rendition of UNLESS, Hawktail's signature tune (IMO). I was amazed. At the end of the concert I realized that I wanted it to begin over again at once, so that I could really listen more deeply. Here's hoping a concert CD is created soon.

Hawktail is awesome for its expertise and its creative music, but with Vasen the total was a night of pure strings joy!!

The Jimmy’s are always fantastic, but here at Stoughton Opera House…they were PHENOMENAL! Brought the house down, in my estimation! Need to get booked again @ this venue!!!!!

The band was great. Top notch musicianship, great songs and arrangements as well as sound in the venue. These folks are fabulous entertainers and musicians. If you're reading this review and have a chance to see this band , do it. The Stoughton Opera House is a wonderful old theater and a perfect venue to see a show. Thank you to all for the show last night. It was fun.

One of the best performances I have seen! They really brought the energy- amazing band and performance. It was our first time at this beautiful venue, and we appreciated all the accommodations from being greeted at the door, to being allowed to bring food into the lounge before the show, to the offers for seat cushions and the very witty intro guy. A very memorable experience for my whole family.

I went to this WONDERFUL AMAZINGLY FUN SHOW ! I will have GREAT MEMORIES for life from this show !

The show was absolutely awesome. It was a very relaxed and intimate show. The Stoughton Opera House is a very nice place for a concert, very nostalgic looking. The Opera hHouse needs to ditch the wearing of masks though. The CDC doesn't require them anymore but they required masks and your vaccination card.

I was at the show, Crystal Bowersox always put on a fantastic show. Can't wait to see her again!!!

His 11th year for the bicycle tour. Milwaukee to Minneapolis with stops at Stoughton Mineral Point, Trempealeau, etc. Very entertaining. Excellent story teller.
