Paper Dress Vintage

This was one of the best gigs I have been to in years. The venue is very small but it has a superb sound system and the sound guy knew what he was doing. The perfect setting for seeing Man and the Echo who are always fantastic live. This was billed as being an acoustic tour and they were without their drummer, but this didn't diminish the show at all. Man and the Echo have a back catalogue of brilliant songs from their first two albums and they played many of my favourites as well as all five tracks from their new EP. All the old songs worked really well in the acoustic format, and the new songs are some of their best work. If you've not heard them I urge you to have a listen to the new EP and 'On Safari' 'Operation Margarine ' and 'Goodnight to Arms' (one of the most perfect love songs ever written) or really anything you can find by them. Gaz Roberts writes songs that are insightful, intelligent, provocative and deeply moving but he never preaches. As a lyricist he has to be on a level with Paddy McAloon and Guy Garvey and the music is just as well crafted. And they are just so brilliant live. I had a great evening

a once in a lifetime concert, pitou is simply a natural on stage. her voice is magical, her control over it legendary. and on top of that she’s so loveable and excited to share her art with you i really hope i get to see her live again !!

Sooooo good! I've been waiting since the start of the thing we don't talk about to see these guys and they did not disappoint. Great support from ME REX too, and so much love for the venue. Perfect size, perfect crowd!

It's always nice to see these guys, they don't do many shows, so it's a bit of a treat when they do. Hugely talented and great people.

Amy is incredible! What a voice, and what a performer. Amy may only just be at the start of her musical journey, but she has an air of confidence that only seasoned pros can dream of. Such a ballsy attitude, and a powerhouse of sound from such a wee lass! The band definitely need a mention too, they are all top class multi-Instrumentalists, and together the quartet produce a wall of sound Phil Spector could only dream of. If Amy is ever in you area, drop everything and go and see her!
