Another amazing show!! Lindens song was fire yo and one I will need to hear again. That bass line though wow. Always a great show and so much fun. Can’t wait for the new record 🤘🏻🎶❤️
Excellent concert. Can’t wait to do it again. Rahsaan Patterson is a great artist. Please being him back.
Wonderful! Stella has an even lovelier voice in person, and she was so gracious with her fans, even offering to take selfies with all of us. The venue had good acoustics, but the seating was less than desirable. We scored a nice table in the corner, but many of the patron’s chairs were literally facing away from the stage.
The show was amazing! Went both nights. I only wish the set was a little bit longer. Friday night was slightly less than an hour. Saturday night was a little longer. I completely understand how taxing on the voice it can be but from a fan perspective, and given that the tickets were very pricey, I felt like a couple more songs would’ve been nice. That being said, I will go see Rachel and Vilray anytime they are in the area. A wonderful night of music!
Don was in good form and his band was outstanding. The Blue Note venue made it an event we will never forget. It was raw music at its best
Amazing shows at the Blue Note with now good mix of older snd newer songs played and absolutely awesome to see the Samples with 3/4 of the original members. Totally fantastic songs and playful antics :)
I had a outstanding time with Rick! He is so personable and his band is so talented. What an incredible evening. Can’t wait for him to come back.
So cool!
We will see him in New York at the Apollo too.
All the musicians were great but just love Patches!
Macy was fantastic, and I love how she interacted with the crowd. It was my first time at the Blue Note, and it's a great place to see the show. My only complaint is that a huge beam was right in my way, so my friend and I had to lean in opposite directions in order to see the performance. I don't think they should sell seats that have a blocked view, or at least let you know if that's the case.
The show was fantastic Brian Culbertson is a hell of a musician. Also enjoy monqurell Jordan and the fellow members of Brian cumbersen's band are fantastic is well worth going to see
It was the BEST EVER but the venue space was horrible. We paid too much for my seats and was placed where there was a huge guy blocking my entire view. Didn’t like that. Never buy those seats again.
Omg!!!! She sounded amazing!!!! I had front row seat. She high fives me. She hugged me after and I got a picture. I’ll never forget this night. Such an awesome show. She is 60 and had so much energy.
I was a beret wearing jazz influenced hitch hiking hippie girl in Hermosa beach before I heard Rickie Lee and when I heard her…. Well , she was playing music that spoke to me like no other songwriter. I kept wearing my beret and one night at the Brandywine in Santa Monica a whole table of people stared at me. Finally one of them walked over and said “we thought you were out old friend Rickie Lee”. That was a compliment for sure. But it took me til my 40s to front a jazz band and I have yet to really write a song. Rickie on the other hand is a true poet and songwriter.
Her show at the winery in Napa was satisfying . Lovely warm evening , front row outdoors at bistro tables in the grass . Somehow intimate. She said the first set in the heat of the day almost killed her. I relished the songs as the sun went down. Her great percussionist had second duty selling her Tshirts between shows. That must feel odd to have your band mates selling your merch. It’s not the glory days I guess but Rickie is performing well at what age? 68? My boyfriend who didn’t know her music as well said “ I feel honored” to have witnessed this. Having started the journey of her very poignant prose of a memoir, I feel so much deeper understanding and connection to her music. Rickie Lee, you inspire me to no end. Thank you - Thank you. I know I’m just one of a million fans in life’s musical sea but I imagine sitting around with you and a few other musicians playing, singing, and sipping wine into the wee hours. I will keep that lil fantasy.
In song and with gratitude,
Julie Crystel
Eric Benét was absolutely amazing❣️❣️❣️ His high notes were beautiful and the food was wonderful. I love this venue because it’s very intimate and personal. Every seat is close viewing. Although I would love to buy more expensive closer tickets. I was very very appreciative of how affordable this was with such a high quality venue. Forever a memory. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts please think of us in the future or more experiences and further invitations!!!
Awesome evening show. Great music, humor and storytelling!!! During a technical glitch Larry invited questions and we were humored by his answers.
Great show with Larry Carlton. Haven’t been to the Blue Note for awhile and we really enjoyed ourselves. At 73 Larry still is a master guitarist. He currently has a fantastic band. Gary Novak on drums.
As usual Morgan put on a wonderful concert. The sold out crowd loved the material and even the jokes. Morgan's band was tight and exciting to listen to.
Waited 20 years to see Will.. he did not disappoint. Amazing talent, entertainer and so funny. One of the best gigs I’ve ever seen!!
Up close and personal. Still has it after all these years. Cozy and intimate. Can’t wait to see him again.
How can I put in words how Blessed I was that night?!? I just can’t... Magical AND Spiritual! There are no words really... All I know if God is SO GOOD! First time I’ve been to this venue, Amazing! And the Service, Wonderful!
But Kenny... Kenny Lattimore...
AMAZINGLY WONDERFULLY EPIC!
So smooth, such class and his voice, yikes! I can’t even think of the words! Thank you Kenny for a memory I will speak of til my days come to an end! This will be the 2nd time meeting you.
