Way too short. Same for the dictators.. Glad I saw the Dictators in Norwalk the night before. The Damned were great. I'll see Lenny soon.
Lighting was quite harsh especially from behind the stage facing the crowd.
Sound was okay-maybe great in the loge but...
Drinks were typically overpriced
I wasn't expecting a real full band to play with them. The renditions of the songs were changed up a bit, but it was really cool to finally get to see them. Had meet and greets, so we got our pics taken, chatted a minute and were able to get some things signed too.
Since we were in the venue early for the meet, we got perfect front row for the show. I was able to get the setlist that the guitar player had.
You could tell they were singing and playing with such heart. The interactions with their fans and stage presence were all the things I look for in a live show to be successful. I'm so glad I was able to experience the show.
The venue was so beautiful inside. Great experience overall. Lots of stairs though as we were leaving. Was glad to get to use the elevators on the way up!
I wasn’t sure about the show when I bought the tickets but Ice Nine Kills killed it! The crowd was amazing. In this moment put in a great, and the crowd standing watching was for once understandably because it was a SHOW. Great fun!
I had the greatest time of my life!! I had been waiting 6 years to see Amity! I had tickets to see them back in 2020, but that tour got cancelled! I made sure to get there early for barricade, and I got barricade!!! And this was also my second time seeing Make Them Suffer!! I yelled Jordan’s name after their set and he threw me a drumstick! Then when Amity was playing their set I had a sign and was signing so loudly and after the set Joe gave a setlist to security for me! I was sobbing crying!! I had been waiting to see them for so long and their music has helped me through so much!
I’ve experienced Bad Suns live twice and both times they did not disappoint. They are full of energy, write songs with great hooks/ lyrics and are a hell of a lot of fun. Please keep touring in the New York metro area. Can’t wait to hear you a third time.
Best show I’ve ever been to. She is so gloriously and unabashedly herself, and lets you into her world in such a lovely intimate and sometimes outlandish and fantastic way. She works VERY hard for her audience. She was talking to us through the encore, all the way through the end. You could tell she was happy to be back, entertaining and doing what only Grace Jones can do. A mix of art, fashion and music. A simply amazing show. If you get a chance or an inkling to see her, DO IT. You won’t be sorry. How is she this sexy at 75? She’s my hero. Still going strong. The hula hooping is truly a sight to behold!
Hammerstein is a terrible venue to see a show. Filled with B&T crowd, and overpacked. Bush was fine, but not their best show. Gavin put on a good show, but between the annoying crowd, couldn't get a drink, and the mediocre set, I give it 3 out of 5 stars. Candlebox was great, however!
The venue was great and organized very well. I love that it's only a 5 min walk from Penn. Getting into the venue went pretty smoothly but your bag/purse should be checked first then placed at the end of the table and then the person should walk through the metal detector. Bush put on a great and memorable show.
Godlike setlist. Guys from Carcass are aware of what their fans love them for. Half of the performance set consisted of my fav songs from '91 and '93 albums.
My respect for Hammerstein Ballroom for mind-blowing sound quality.
PS Bill Steer, you're the God
It was a great concert! My friend was super happy that I surprised him with the tickets. The view was really good. They played a lot of songs we both knew. The opening acts were enjoyable as well. The set change time in between was a little long which definitely added to the length of the concert but overall it was a super enjoyable experience
GOAT. charli xcx is a mastermind when it comes to putting on a show. she knows how to get the crowd going. although there were a lot of poppers being popped, the crowd did not disappoint. i would do a lot to see her again.
Meshuggah, as I hoped, were mindblowing and sounded as good as the albums. Their live show must be seen to be believed. Everyone in the band was perfectly in sync. However, the opening bands, Torche, and Converge, were only okay. Also the lazy ushers/security at the Hammerstein Ballroom allowed quite a few fans in the balcony area to stand at the railing, blocking the view of many fans. If people want to stand, don't buy balcony seats. There were plenty of standing options on the ground level. Very impressed the concert started precisely on time (on the minute, really). Highly recommended tour.
Charli Xcx displayed a masterclass of a performance showing off that she not only knows what she's doing, but that she knows exactly what her audience wants to hear, both new & old. Want some advice? Go see Charli if you value enjoyment in your life!
As always, they put on a wonderful show. While they’re great at putting on. A show, the crowd really makes this event. Every time i’ve seen them, they have one of the best fanbases. Mosh pits are always very high energy and rough, while always having good pit etiquette. Keep coming back!
Hammerstein is an incredible venue for live music, and Arch Enemy came out and put on a great fucking display of raw power and metal... This is the band I came to see tonight all the way from Philly and they did not disappoint!!
Meshuggah is the best live performance I've been to. I was wowed the entire time. They sound just like the CDs. The instrumentals were just mesmerizing and vocals were clear. To say they were ear candy is an understatement. I've been to other concerts and you can tell vocalists get edits in the studio but Jens Kidman sounded true all the way. I've been listening to them 14 years and it was my first time seeing them live. Meshuggah is truly a titan in the metal world and unlike any other band out there.
I Love Love Ravyn Lenae! Range, Vocal Agility, Scale, Versatility, Phraseology, Enunciation, Tonality, Vocal Control, And Just Overall Dopeness! Ravyn Has It All, And Then Some! Other Than Not Hearing Some Of My Faves, And The Show Being A Little Short, Ravyn Still Gets Seven Stars From Me! She Is Just An Immaculate Singer/Songwriter/Performer! Ravyn Is Also Such A SweetHeart! Luv Her! If You Get The Opportunity To See Ravyn Lenae Live, Seize It! Bravissima!
What can I say other than, “her voice...smooth, warm, beautiful and majestic”....
The musicianship was top notch. And multi-instrumentalists at that!!
They have heart & soul. And their humble unassuming nature as they greet their fans, is hard to come by these days. Thank you, Moonchild!
Jessie Jessie Jessie!! All ways out due herself, She put her all into every show. She was singing for her life. The best show I been to so far, everyone was amazing i truly do love this woman and her album rose 🌹
