only gets 4 stars since the volume was a bit low - usually not a problem but when you have narcissistic millennials thinking their private convo is more important than a musical icon - it does detract from the experience.
What a show, from start to finish. It was more than just a gig from a great musician. It was a full on show. The whole production was amazing.
With the what’s going on in the world at the moment, everyone should go and see this.
It will leave you thinking the world can be an amazing now and then.
This was my 3rd Bob show in the recent years and without question the best. His singing was on point and the arrangements excellent. Would love to have had more of a balance of tracks from through the years but I can understand that he and the band are still 'working' these new tracks. Perhaps we'll hear 'Murder Most Foul' live one day?! That would be something.
Brilliant gig!
Roger was in fine form with an array of excellent musicians to back him up, including his 'brother' Simon Townshend. He can still belt out the classic hits, and thankfully, nobody felt obliged to request Pinball Wizard, unlike at that other show. He filled his set up with more than enough Who songs to compensate and entertain a joyful Glasgow crowd. Not bad for a Monday night, eh Rog?
Superb show as always from Gary. He is a true showman and knows how to delight his audience. The young guy playing the piano beforehand was also great and so nice to see a young unknown getting a chance to shine.
I don’t know what to say Mr Barlow was absolutely amazing. The whole show from beginning to end was just wow wow wow. Made me just forget all the rubbish that’s happening in the world and smile from ear to ear. 💕
Great to see a legend in the excellent Armadillo. His voice may not be as fluid as it once was, but the songwriting remains world class and expansive. Great band and support from another songwriting legend Glenn Tilbrook. Overall a brilliant event!
Been see gabrielle every time she's came to glasgow love her music, dont think armadillo best for sound audience was starting to get restless 9pm before she came on to stage no idea who is her costume people are looked as if she had green netting cirtains wrapped round her horrendous first song voice went we all looked each other , backing singers were amazing. Don't know what she did without them. She was unwell on antibiotics and steroids . I members days she was on over 2 hrs now 1.30 hrs show was good not one of her best she said she was retiring 😢 . Like Michael Bolton seen him every time he came glasgow he should retire too gets stage when artists kinda loose there voice should hang hat up will going is good will continue listen both artists but no more concerts for me I'm afraid
What pises me off was recorded music usage. Its good if all music from performance was maybe 20-30% live. Could see guys just string instrument and no finger movement .
Live performance has different vibe.
Other thing - sound guy - whats the reason to even go to concert ? To put "☆" in bucketlist?
I love going to see David Gray, maybe I’m just unlucky with my seat choice as I always seem to be behind a row of drunk women who insist on talking, texting their pal’s, no consideration for the people around them especially through the more quiet songs and songs from the new album, 4 times we told them to keep it down but took no notice. It really puts us off going to concerts now, tickets aren’t cheap these days!
Jamie and his band were astounding, once again. The man is a musical dynamo. He brings so much energy and joy to his performances. It is impossible to put into words how blown away we were by his piano playing but his singing voice is also astonishingly underrated. Without doubt, the best musical performer of his generation.
Absolutely brilliant and so worth the wait. Good mix of the crowd work he is known for and straight stand up. His two friends who were with him, Alex and Jackson were also good.
What an amazing night we had,Sarah was every bit as funny as she is on telly ,she is so natural and we could relate to all she said,so thanx Sarah for a fabulous night of pure laughter and soggy knickers.
I had a great time seeing Blue they were amazing as always they sang all their greatest hits and their new song i have been a fan of them since the very beginning
Billy ocean was fab, sound & lights were amazing, but come on armadillo 2 staff on the bar upstairs, this is Glasgow remember, not known for being a T-total city. Poor organisation
Best gig of his I've been to , absolutely adore he set list and was right at the ftont and witness the w8nder that is this man .I even got the label ajd portion from his shirt . From his 8nto of blah blah and possibly blah till that lady note it was perfection .
A big thank you to Shug the security who stopped me being crushed in the stampede for the shirt . I on oeaving met a great wee couple Donna and Steve who met at a smiths concert in 1984 and are still together with k8ds and grandkids . Just an amazing night with the most petfect playlist from a great political poetical songsmith aand fantastic band . If this is to be my last concert ofhis then it ended on a massive high . His is a light that shall never go out
