I was very much looking forward to this concert as I lived and worked with the Tamajaq people in Niger for 12 years. Though I knew it would be electric music, I was hoping there would be more of the original Tuareg flavor. We left before the end because the music seemed too Westernized with one almost endless, repetitive rift. Even the performers looked a bit bored.
Maybe it happened after we left, but it would have been good to have even a short personal touch, l bit of conversation, a greeting or a sharing from their hearts about Niger/ Africa. I noticed that in the middle of their banner was the image of a coffin with a map of Africa on top. What were they saying by that?
Vagabon was amazing so was crumb but the thing was the crowd was so disrespectful, they would just talk no matter what even after told to “respectfully shut the fuck up” like guys if this is how you act all the time your annoying ad hell
so amazing, opening act Mobley took my phone and took a selfie with the crowd. I was so close I got the setlist from the drummer, still have it hanging on my wall. I took my friend because tickets were so affordable and it happened to be their first time going to an actual concert, she was nervous at first but had an amazing time and really opened up when the energy of the crowd and performers set in on her. they also used bubbles instead of confetti because el rey is so small and it was so fun and interactive. I truly made some memories I won't forget :)
No disrespect to the Descendants but the circle jerks should've been the closing band .. it was so damn HEAVY.. Joey Castillo put in more.work on the drums than ive seen anyone do in a long time.. Keiths.still.got it!! I will see them anywhere anytime.. They got the pit moving they brought the links.togehter... and was such a good show!!!
Missed the beginning of Landmvrks set but it was really good! TDWP was epic. Also counter parts killed it. I didn’t really get a chance to see FFAK because we had moved up to the top.
I didn’t get to go after all because I had some homework to do for school… my heart hurts lol anyways I’m glad I bought the tickets still because I love supporting this band. ♥️ please visit again soon in NM. I last saw you guys in Santa Fe at meow wolf 🥰
Given all 3 bands (Mushroomhead, Fear Factory, and Static-X) have experienced changes in lead singers, they all sounded amazing. Mushroomhead was amazing as always, and several band members spent quality time with fans at the merch booth. I was impressed with Milo, the "Italian Stallion." He was able to hit the fierce growls and the beautiful chords Fear Factory is known for. Tony Campos did double duty on Bass for both Fear Factory and Static-X. Seems like this man hasnt aged a, even though he turned 50 on the day I saw the show. Xero was truly impressive. The mysterious, illusive, and illustrios front man for Static-X honored Wayne in the best possible way. The old saying goes, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Xero didn't miss a beat playing hits from Machine and Wisconsin Death Trip and channeling the sound and energy of Wayne himself. I have been a fan of these groups for 20+ years, and while things have changed, the music still feels the same. Thank you for bringing this spectacular show to Albuquerque! We hope to see ALL of you again
PS. I don't mean to overlook Dope at all. While they sounded great, the set was a sample when I wanted the whole thing! Dope was great, if short-lived. Certainly hope to see more of them in the future, too!

Hey Rockers!!! You want to hear some great kickin' ass rock 'n roll music? Then come to see The Black Jacket Symphony!!! Many of our great rockers are long gone & aren't here anymore to play their old time rock 'n roll songs & we miss them! However, IF your into great musicians and want to hear an absolutely replica sound of their songs, then you've got to come and see The Black Jacket Symphony!!! Every time I leave, I feel like I've been transported back in time & close my eyes to hear the great tunes from the bands that I loved. They choose the best musicians each time to make the experience sound like the original band!!!
The first time I saw them, they played Pink Floyd, the second time was Led Zep, & last night was Fleetwood Mac Rumors. They come once or twice a year to NM and are worth you time, talent, and treasure!!! I highly recommend The Black Jacket Symphony to any classic rocker!!!
It's a small venue and the acoustics are awesome. You gotta go.... if you snooze you lose!

LP is THE love of my life. She’s my entire world I promise I would do anything to marry LP😂❤️ i mean that in a not creepy way lol. Anyways I’ve been to a lot of concerts that I’ve enjoyed but the second I saw LPs sexy fine ass walk out i had already “died”. LP makes you feel so alive, along with connection. From my experience it was THE B E S T time of my life, LP made me feel all the best kinds of euphoria all in one. The way the lyrics, the vibes, everyone’s having a good time and all these women/men (yes you best believe ME TOO lol) are literally THROWING ourselves at LP🥰😂 it’s a feeling that i will never ever forget. Thank you love of my life @iamlpofficial ❤️ (i have more pictures on my IG fan page for LP message me for more!) Peace and love all around 🙏💜
I mean...I love when I catch amazing artist like Rusko at these smaller venues/shows. Amazing set with lots of dirt old school tracks. Just as good as when I saw him nearly 10 years ago. I got to stand front and center the whole time and felt like I should have paid 10 times more than I did for my ticket.
This concert was so amazing. The opening bands as well as the headliner was so good and had me moving the entire time. I definitely recommend going to see Awolnation, Badflower, and the Mysterines! Thank you all for the fun night again!
hippie sabotage never disappoints. this is the second time i see them yet they amused me beyond comprehension. i felt just as amazing as the first time. hippie sabotages concerts are the type where you don’t even have to know the songs to be able to enjoy it. they make everyone feel welcomed and appreciated for being there. never have i seen an artist interact w the crowd the way they do. hippie sabotage are those types of dudes you can’t see in concert enough, i can go to 100 of their shows and i bet you id be just as amused in each one. hippie sabotage, i love you.
I have countless hours over 5 years listening to the Boys. I have been to multiple Coheed tours. Last 5 years. I just want to say. This was the most Amazing show I've seen them put on. Maybe it was the small venue. Not the super Amphitheater I'm used. Maybe it was all the people we met. Maybe it was the company. No matter why it was. I am more of a complete person for having been at this show.
Great show! Strange the venue wouldn’t allow drinks on the show floor, we had to chill wayyy in the back by the bar and watch. Also, the meet and greet got messed up somehow and we didn’t get to hear the Q and A.
That show was one of the most impressive shows I've ever been to! I had heard of the opening bands a couple of times on Spotify, but after hearing them live, I'm definitely a fan now! That hasn't happened in a long time for me. Then, on top of that, there was Jinjer! Tatiana's power house vocals put her, in my opinion, as one the top vocalist in the world right now and perhaps ever was.
Grew up jamming to these guys! Never thought we’d see Wayne again, very emotional show but it was amazing and historic! 20 years death trip!!
What made the night perfect was having Ken and Koiche sign my Cult of Static Poster! Now it’s complete, i had Wayne and Tera sign it also. I miss them so much
EL Rey Theater is a little bit too crowded for bands like these. The bands put on great enthusiastic shows. We loved them all. Sleep Signals, Escape The Fate, Attila and All That Remains were all there.
What more could you ask for? ABR + Parkway Drive! Both high caliber metal core bands that deliver live. Don’t miss your chance to crowd surf and mosh to the bois from Australia and NE America that bring copious amounts of energy.
3rd Time seeing them and it was lit. I've purchased tickets for my boyfriend's birthday and it was just as good as the last 2 shows. Thanks Dani for giving your drumstick to my boyfriend, it totally made it worth it not purchasing VIP before it sold out and made my boyfriends birthday present awesome!
