Both the Real Mckenzies and Sir Reg were fantastic, they engaged with the crowd and were super accommodating.
First enjoyed the happy metal of Freedom Call. Live they are usually good. Also now. Halfway through the performance the men of Rhapsody Of Fire walked onto the stage with some refreshing drinks for Freedom Call. Not only because they were thirsty but also to thank Freedom Call for their support. That evening was the last evening for Freedom Call as a support act of the tour. After ROF left the stage the party continued. A mix of new and old songs to end with 'Tears Of Babylon' while jumping.
Then it was Rhapsody Of Fire's turn to introduce their album. The moment the band takes their places I realize that I haven't seen them in a long time. No Fabio Lione or Alex Holzwarth. (How long has it been? 10 years? almost?) For me it would be the first time live with Giacomo Voli. When the title track 'Challenge The Wind' was played about halfway through the show, shivers ran down my spine. Voli can do it. Although the new album is their fastest album ever and contains no ballads, a tribute was still paid to Christopher Lee. The end of the official part was started with 'Dawn of Victory'. A unique moment where Giacomo comes off the stage to mingle with the fans while singing. De Nieuwe Nor is a small cozy venue. Wonderful things can happen. Then follow four more encores to close with 'Emerald Sword' where Giacomo manages to split the room in 2... die hard fans know what is going to happen now. And yes... inside that small room the 2 groups storm each other as if it is their last time. It was great to see, it was a great performance. It was a great evening.
Great show, great front woman!

Super awesome show. The openers were fun and Grade2 delivered as always. High energy, high quality. Always a 10/10 show from them!
Very good show! Band had fun on stage, good set-list, great performance.
The show was as good as I had hoped for. They sound as wonderful as they did when I first heard them on the radio in the 90s. They‘re touring through Europe, UK and Scandinavia for the next couple of months. The show I attended was only their 4th show of the tour. Again, great show!
These guys bring the energy. They definitely know how to put on a show.
Dynamic, captivating.
They really get the crowd going.
Very good concert both kill the lights and changing tides were great
Almost perfect show. The band quickly picked up the performance in a short time after the relaunch of Delain. It think it helped a lot that there 2 veterans who rejoined the band. Special notice of Diana who did a tremendous job in perfecting her stage performance. At their first show in 013 Tilburg, Diana was a little overwhelmed with performing a live show and just gave to much energie and vocally the first few songs. She paid the price after a short while of performing. Not this show!!! She stood fast and kept performing awesome during the whole set.
Fantastic performance from the group.
Great stage presence, fantastic musicians and they sound like The Doors.
Well worth it, if you can make one of their concerts
I enjoyed every minute.
Very fine atmosphere and great performance
Geil! Super Stimmung, toller Abend!
Great show (as always). The voice of Melissa is incredible. Interaction between the band, pleasure on the stage,… everything was present. They also played songs for the first time and requested by fans on social media. First gig at the venue for me. Was nice and good sound. Also to recommend.
Great singer, great band, just needs to be your style. Dual headliner is always a gamble, but it turned great.
I had been looking forward to this concert since last year, when they opened for the Dandy Warhols in Brussels, but I got there so late that I only heard three of New Candys' songs. I didn't know much about the band then, but I knew I wanted to see them again. The concert at Poppodium did not disappoint. "Front row" for the whole concert. I look forward to seeing them again in the future.
Wat maken ze er een geweldig feest van! Ontzettend genoten! Sake Sake Sake geweldig nieuw album.
Supernice! Perfectly organized, venue absolutely to be recommended, S&T started a bit slow, but were getting better by the minute...and John Turrell is simply one of the best male soul/funk/pop singers!!!
