Hannah Cohen is a rising star. With every release, her songwriting—both lyrically and musically—becomes more sophisticated, personal, heartfelt, and universally relatable. She has a voice of an angel, and when it’s blended with the beautiful backing vocals from her guitarist and keyboardist, the result is pure sonic bliss. Seeing Hannah and her band perform live only reinforced how special they are. They’re a wonderfully cohesive ensemble, with every member serving the songs rather than competing for the spotlight. In a time when so much new music can feel disposable, Hannah Cohen’s music reminds me that there are still artists creating work with genuine soul, depth, and lasting quality. I sincerely hope Hannah and her band receive the recognition and accolades they deserve. They’re making the kind of music that stays with you long after the concert is over.

Incredible show!

Amazing! Without giving anything away, Mal is a wonderful performer, great report with their band, and does a lot of audience work that an artist who tours so much might not do. A lot of thought went into the staging and set list. Get to a show! This venue was also very nice. Accessible, clean, lots of great beverages, good prices, great sound engineering/lighting, friendly staff. Top notch all around. Would return. I will warn about parking fees though. Look ahead of time. I paid $31 for 4 hours. Those are Boston fees, Portland! LOL!

King coyote definitely played his a*s off! It was phenomenal and Mohammed was off the hook dropping to watch. It was like his fingers were on fire!!

This was a really special event. Myles always brings a vulnerably versatile presence with his genre elasticity through anthems, family-jams, freestyle fellowship-style raps, explorations of grief, nostalgia, pain and triumph that usually all happen within a few minutes of each other. He’s got something for the old heads, he’s got something for families looking for music to enjoy. When Myles is on his game, he’s like OG Pixar for hip-hop

I will never forget seeing Andy Shauf in person

The best show of 2018 for me so far. This was a three-piece show, Alice was back home in WA after the death of her father. The trio paid tribute to the late Mr. Sandahl during the show with a toast and a photo. The set featured a good mix of new songs from “Floating Features” and the “classic” tunes that put this band on my radar. Amazing musicians and it’s a joke that I paid $8 for the ticket. I would have paid 5 times that amount to see this band again. I felt so bad I purchased some extra merch to try and ease my guilty conscience.
