Bass Performance Hall

Very few times I have enjoyed so much in a concert like last Saturday in Forth Worth. Even in an environment like that, which should be intimidating for any artist, Morgan was simply supperb representing James Bond Themes from all eras as if they all were written to be sung by her. For me, who has seen her in little venues singing blues, jazz and ballads before with 2-3 other musicians, seeing her eating the scenario with her presence and beautiful voice was a bit of a hard realization that she has been all her career underutilized. A sat near the front, and she lighted up the 50 piece orchestra, which played also phenomenally well. There was nothing missed, place is also amazingly beautiful and I regret not to have planned going for two days instead of just Saturday. I wondered only, the promotion let too much to be desired. Place was full but not packed, but noticeably because of ignorance about who was her. People went to hear James Bonds stuff and unsurprisingly, found one of the greatest singer now without the recognition she deserves. We will waiting for you here in DFW.

Soaring vocals and stunning wardrobe made for a beautiful, dramatic, and fun spectacle. No one sings it better.

Best concert I’ve been to! Air Supply knocked it outta the park and Christopher Cross smoothly & brilliantly ended the night!

Air Supply opened and did a pretty good job of rocking the house. Christopher was who I was primarily interested in seeing. I was a soft rock jock back in the 80's and early 90's and spun his songs thousands of times. He is a tremendous talent and I appreciated seeing him deliver some of his classics. However, Christopher did not sound at all like his old self in my opinion and it was especially apparent on Think of Laura when he was out front on the vocals without as much music background to swim in. He did have a trio of female backup singers that ended up being the lead on a couple of songs and they did a great job. It was a short set (less than 1 hour) and unfortunately people were leaving in droves by about the third song. I read that Christopher had a particularly severe case of COVID that may have had some residual effects. While I so appreciate his effort in taking the stage, I think I will enjoy his music in recorded form the way I remember it.

The most eclectic, delightful Shaw I can imagine. Their guest performers we astounding.
