I went to 3 shows on the Australian leg of the Darksun Tour - Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne in my home town. I had purchased a VIP Experience - which was way beyond what I had expected and I am so grateful to the band for giving fans the opportunity to do this.
I'm 55 and it was one of the greatest night of my life! Getting to actually meet them, chat to them, get signed stuff and of course getting a photo with them.... and decided to be on the rail in the throng of the pit - I thought that was more than enough for the evening.... Dayseeker then came out and kicked the absolute living shit out of the Brisbane Show (which was amazing) and the Sydney show - my hometown of Melbourne - the audience was treated to an absolute plethora of emotions - insanity, joy, excitement, sooo much love - and when the stage pyro ignited with the bursts of fire - and the band being so fabulous and the high tech light show, awesome sound and the fireworks from the ceiling.... It was just EUPHORIC!!!
I think my first words were "I fucking love you guys so much"... Thank you for coming back to Australia, thank you for allowing fans to have this experience and
I didn't want it to end.... they re-arranged the songs from Brisbane and Sydney!!
Don't miss an opportunity to see these guys play wherever and whenever you can.
I know they will finally get the recognition and huge amount of success they deserve heading into their future... Please make sure they come back to Australia to tour again....
Sooo much love for Dayseeker!! Thanks so much for proving me with so much joy and a full heart! I appreciate the effort bands go to come here... it is a long way away from the rest of the planet... I've been a fan for such a long time now and my fandom is not going anywhere... in fact, I've got my next tattoo booked in!
As always, The Butterfly Effect are dynamic live. Frontman Clint commands the crowd, taking the audience on an energy filled ride from start to finish. The sound quality was good, (although I have heard better from the band previously) and despite a few early technical hiccups, the lighting and visuals for the show were fantastic!
Absolutely incredible, the lineup was epic and every band brought it. Banks Arcade hyped the crowd as they poured in, Landmvrks getting the first circle pit going fucking sending it, Erra delivering a melodic barrage before joining Northlane on stage for a spectacular performance. Could not have made a better choice to attend!!
Genuinely the most beautiful show I’ve ever seen. The stage presence was incredible, the entire band is talented beyond belief and I absolutely adored the way the night was broken up into the two sets; one with the band spread out across the stage and the other with them all gathered around one mic. The vocals were perfect, and the harmonies gave me chills. I will definitely be seeing him again!
The legendary musical genius that is the one and only Nile Rodgers was perfection! What a song catalogue! What a band!!! A true class act. Can safely say everyone in the Forum Theatre LOVED EVERY SECOND of this show! Phenomenal! PURE GOOD MUSIC! Will see again whenever I can.
Unbelievably brilliant. The visuals and sound were fantastic. The way Joel hyped up the crowd was phenomenal. Awesome songs played to perfection. The atmosphere in the crowd was amazing. The forum is the best venue in Melbourne. I wish all my favourite bands could play there.
This is my first concert and it was amazing and so comfy! The staff made sure we were all comfortable and have water, even the artist checked on us midway 😂 I came to my booth late and it was packed, the staff helped me to go to a more comfortable booth. All in all, amazing
the show was amazing and the band smashed it but the concert culture was an absolute mess. I watched people being pushed to the floor in the mosh. And throughout the whole concert people were shoving forward so hard my arms were pinned to my sides at times. Ended up spraining my ankle too…
Fantastic show, all songs played really well with a great fun vibe. Nick is doing so well at aged 79, never missed a beat. Loved hearing the pre DSOTM era Floyd. Catching one of his drumsticks at the end of the show just topped it off.
Teddy Swims is such great performer. He pours his heart and soul into every song. He played an excellent set filled with all the songs we love and some new ones we will come to love. New song "Somethings I'll never know" was my highlight. So personal and raw that Teddy teared up whilst singing it. It seems like he's singing just to you. I met him at the meet and greet with a chat, a photo and the biggest hug. Real, honest and heartfelt. Well worth a look if you want a good night out. See him before he goes into the stratosphere and won't be able to play these smaller intimate events.
The concert was everything I expected and looked forward to that night. Having been a fan since the 90’s I was amazed by the number of very young people attending and so few older fans like myself. This is probably a good thing as the music appeals to a younger audience and will endure for many years. My only complaint is the overwhelming volume of the drums which blanketed the guitars and this applied to the opening group, Flyying Colours too.
It was bloody amazing! I’m a long time fan of DZ, I went to the gurge gig with some old friends from high school and they’d never heard of you before but you have some new fans! Luke Henery was a nice edition 😀
The Gurge shone and shimmered in all their usual fabulous glory! Glitoris right behind them!! Go girls- a better timeslot next time I hope !! Custard for the sing a long win tho I had to ask my friends if we were wearing our years the same;) Happy to say as an almost 50 year I held my ground in the mosh pit but c’mon- shouldn’t they be a fond faded 90’s memory by now? Moshing is great, but it doesn’t need to morph into drunken bogans pushing and shoving like 3 year olds and impacting everyone else’s experience. I should have the right to enjoy the band wherever I want to stand and feel physically safe- which I was not. Time to grow up Gen x’s surely? Disappointed the limelight hogging muppet in the bunny suit encouraged it and the band didn’t call out this behaviour where women were getting shoved and knocked over whilst dancing. I’ve been pushed around by blokes at gigs now for 30 years and it’s ENOUGH already!
First time watching Theory Of A Dead Man and they were fantastic to see live. Halestorm.........Halestorm.........Halestorm.....You can never fault them. I have seen them live twice now and they kicked arse both times. Very professional, great entertainers. Another SOLD OUT show. 12/10 for me.
Awesome show. The light & smoke show was incredible. Mario is an absolute beast on the kit. A good mix of old & new songs. The mosh looked sick, but with old man bad back issues I was going nowhere near it...hehehe. I was stoked to finally see them live. I'm not that keen on festivals anymore, so seeing them at this Good Things sideshow was just perfect. Plus, a way longer set! Yewww!
Dean Lewis was better than I imagined. Musically and vocally he was outstanding and had such a great stage presence.
My only criticism albeit small as I love The Forum as a venue but there was way too many people for the venue size. I would rather pay a little more for my ticket and have less people and a fraction more room.
If I had to say something negative, it would be that they didn’t play Literally Baby from Happiness and Surrounding Suburbs, but that’s it! For all the positive stuff I’m gonna need more room than is available here. Ball Park Music are magnificent! They appear soooo happy in each others company and that gives great energy to the crowd that feeds back to the band. I’d see ‘em every night of the week if I could.
A fantastic show from a great performer.
Acoustic set with supporting guitarist was flawless.
Second half with James Reyne was excellent with great chemistry between the two.
The Forum was the perfect venue; big enough to generate some concert atmosphere but small enough to maintain connection with the audiance.
Six stars, not five. These guys know how to put on a show. Superlative musicianship. I'm very late to the party, this was my first Boy & Bear gig even though I've known about them for years, and now I wish I could stalk them around the world and see every show.
I went almost completely alone at the start of the day and walked away with a large new group of friends, and saw some old friends that I haven’t seen in a while. Getting in early was so worth it as I got barricade and had such an amazing time! Also being able to meet Dom before the show was such a blessing. THANK YOU FOR TAKING MY ART AND LETTER! Kira Puru was the best opener and I’m still not over how amazing the show was! Best night of my life by far. 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤
