Very good show. After 52 years these guys are still on point. Sabaton was a really good choice for an opener/ support band. I'm glad that they are finally getting the exposure that they deserve. The only problem that I ran into was that I had to leave my place in line to check my bag before going into the venue, as I came into town just for this show and didn't have a hotel room.
Absolutely amazing! Had a great time, would recommend this facility for your favorite artists as well as just a great night out to my family and friends. This band was the highlight of the whole show as well as The Thompson twins gentleman and his fellow musicians! I mean wow! Had nearly everyone on their feet and just having a great time singing and dancing cause we was all friends! Haha. See what I did there? One more thing but either of those bands come again I’d pay to see them. As for the other artists did a good job also. But 5 stars was for the staff and venue along with the two greatest bands ever!
Ahhh! It was soo good! It was my first concert and I was not disappointed. Everything was great. I was disappointed that destroy boys weren't able to make it but they were sick so I understand. Meet me at the alter was there and they were cool. Fun and energetic, some technical difficulties in the beginning but got over them very fast and made it work fast. AND they provided ear buds outside the performance room. Which was soo cool and helpful + free!
First, the opener was very good. He was a throw back to the glam rock of the 70’s. Good choice. Now on to the Black Crowes. Aside from the merch being ridiculously high priced, I have nothing to complain about with this show. It’s been about 20 years since I’ve seen the band live and they were better than ever. Chris and Rich seemed to be getting along. The energy on stage was great. Loved it!
The reason we bought tickets was to see Dream Theater. However, although they put on a great show(no doubt). Devin stole the show. I have been a fan of his since the early 90's. And when I saw he was on the same bill, I was all that more excited. The four of us all felt the same way. I had the most fun when he was up there. BRING HIM BACK
They were AWESOME! Given that they are not playing in their home country. I was not expecting how good they were. Their song B.M.C. sounds O.K. on the radio, but live? O.M.G. FREAKING AMAZING!!! Also was the first concert my 11yr old daughter went to. She said it was better than Disneyland. Which she was in 2 weeks prior. So, awesome show! We plan on seeing them in Japan in the future.
The venue staff were really cool. Although it was a little early, they saw that I was starting to tremble and feel faint from the extreme heat 115 degrees. And they allowed me into the lobby sooner than doors opened. I really appreciated it. Everyone inside was very friendly, food vendor sold us food even though they weren't officially opened yet. Security at the front cared about us as fans and asked a photographer to leave who kept getting in our view in the pit. The band was great! 3 doors down is always a good time! And Brad came down after the show, and said hello to everyone! In the front row! It was epic!
BEST NIGHT EVER. i’ve been listening to them since they were “before today” when i was 8 years old and this was my first time seeing them! security was kind and gave our waters, which not a lot of venues do. my only issue were some of the fans. y’all REALLY need to learn to respect those around you and stop pushing and shoving to the front! it’s disrespectful. be grateful you even got to attend the sold out event. other than that, amazing night and amazing sets from all the artists.
SEVEN LIONS WAS FANTASTIC !!!! Andrew Bayer was an exellent opening dj, as were the 2 women who first played.
But Seven Lions is always awesome - with musical talent that seamlessly runs through hardstyle headbangers to progressive melodic house. Kept the sold out crowd dancing hard all night.
I bought my pit ticket last December !!! so I was ready, and spent the night in the front of the pit against the front rail in front of the stage. Fablulous night
This would be the 4th time I've rolled to a Mastodon show and I have to say this may be the tightest I've ever seen them play. The vocals were better in the mix, Troy brought the usual stompy swagger, Brann looked genuinely happy to be performing, Bill's and Brent's leads were a magic to behold - and I don't remember ever seeing the keyboard player, Reddit Heads say this Joao Nogueira? All in all the lads looked to be having a blast!
Gojira - this was Spiritual. Those cats brought a fresh energy to the stage that night, I had already suspected they were deep souls based on their lyrical content alone. Seeing their sincerity and display of raw emotion was a most excellent catharsis for the troubled mind, bringing with it a exhilarating sense of peace and purpose. Their light show was as moving as it was informative if you've ever ventured into the world of global symbolisms and archetypes, with heavy emphasis on the Unity of all humanity and the process of self discovery and healing. These dudes are bona-fide Electric Shamans, I encourage you - catch their show and go with an open mind if you've never heard them before.
Yeah, I know - it's necessary that we just sometimes engage in the anger and bang our heads heavy to the pummel of the double bass and the call of the palm muted guitar chords, and for that fix look no further than Lorna Shore. From the all out assault to the senses from start to finish, these lads ranged from down and heavy mosh pit worthy riffs to ethereal leads giving the observer a break to catch their breath. And the vocals? That kid isn't from the surface world man, I have no idea how he is making those bone jarring growls and ascending into the highest and most demonic shrieks I've seen live. The only real complaint on their show was the sub-woofers were way too loud in front at the barricade due to the way it all but drowned out the vocalist and the leads. The best sound was found towards the back of the mosh pit.

Amazing, they put on such a tight show. I believe this "hometown show" was outside the regular tour schedule so they played a ton of old hits. Crowd in the pit was excited and energetic but not too crazy, no mosh pit for example. My husband and I both love the band so it was so cool to go together to see them.
I missed the first opening act but PVRIS and The Maine were excellent. I did not like the opening act Thursday, seemed like you had to have nostalgia for them to enjoy it, but even then their mix was bad.
The venue was very nice, and was a good size. The parking was handy that was purchased with the tickets as well. It was a more intimate setting than lots of places I’ve seen concerts, and i don’t think there is a bad seat. Zach Williams was amazing! His team of performers were all top notch, and his opening act Ben has such a powerful testimony. The music was uplifting, and you couldn’t help but clap, and sing along. I cannot wait for the next opportunity to see a great act perform .
The Pretty Reckless put on a fantastic performance. Taylor Momsen’s vocals were great, and she completely controlled the standing room only crowd! I had the pleasure of witnessing this show through the eyes of a six year old special needs child, who seemed to be viewing the most amazing thing she’d ever seen. The Pretty Reckless deservingly have many thousands of adoring fans. Now they also are the favorite experience of an adorable six year old girl. I have only been to a few concerts in my life bc they typically are not to my liking. That has totally changed after watching The Pretty Reckless! They are very entertaining and high quality musicians! Bravo!
Tremendous show! The band’s sound is so amazing and they are such good performers. My daughters and I had a wonderful time! This is the third time I have seen them and they get better with tour. The only critique I have is that the sound for the drum kit needs to be better. I could only hear the bass drum loud, everything else was muffled, quiet and I couldn’t hear the symbols. But that’s just a wrinkle, the guitars and vocals were on point. Such a great show! These guys are the only band/musicians my kids listen to that I enjoy, because they are very good and very entertaining.
My boyfriend and I went and were blown away! We caught their set at Innings Fest in AZ, literally the last day before Covid took over the world. We loved them instantly. We bought tix to catch them in Red Rocks, which was cancelled. To say we were excited to see they were able to tour again is an understatement. We are listening to them at the house (not unusual) and thinking up where we can see them next! Awesome performers!
Priest were in top form last night here in Phoenix… Halford’s vocals were stellar these 50 plus years on!… A vocal powerhouse who has taken great care of his instrument, knowing when to save it, then unleashing his signature range and screams when it demanded!… Incredible tour de force mastery!
… being a guitarist, it was amazing to see the mighty Faulkner shredding his fingers off only a few short months after a major heart attack and surgery! Brilliant playing!…
The best part of the show was saved for last when out walked a true guitar legend and god… Glenn Tipton for the final encores!!
What a night!
Elvis was in great form. His voice was strong even after the throat cancer . It was his 1st show in Phoenix in years and worth the wait. As usual he played songs throughout his vast volume . Highlights for me were Pump it up, Mystery Dance, Hey Clockface and of course his usual closing with Peace, Love and Understanding. Elvis is top 5 in songwriting and performing
King Diamond and his band was great, but their sound engineer didn’t know what he was doing. And the Arizona crowd sucked, if you can’t clap/cheer/ect. for the band you there to see and claim to appreciate for longer then a few seconds what the hell are you there for ????!!!! For fucks sake I felt so bad for King Diamond and his band and would not be surprised at all if he never comes back to Arizona, fucken lamest crowd I’ve ever been in.
Show was amazing! Monster Truck sounded good but didn't see much of them. Sully was propping them. Lzzy and the band was incredible! Her voice is still one of the best in the biz, pitch perfect all while playing a mean ass ax. Her and Joe did an amazing dual guitar solo that blew. Me. Away. Sully and the boys not only kept up the pace but raised the bar and showed why they're the headliners. Playing a nice mix of new tunes and older classics the band was tight and hitting it hard. With his singing, guitar and drum work Sully is an awesome, talented musician. A true rock-'n'-roll pro. The dual drum solo he did with Shannon drove that point home. Sully did most of solo with his hands! The bands continued nods to the pioneers of rock was and is always appreciated by true rockers. The closer that started as "Come Together" and weaved it's way through Metallica, Rush, and Zep riffs (to name a few) was the perfect exclamation point to the evening. Godsmack is becoming as legendary as the bands they pay homage to. My only complaint is that the bands had to stop at some point. Anyone who thinks Hard Rock is dead should go get tics to either of these bad ass rockers and try and tell me that afterwards Motherfuckers!
Best show I have ever seen. Trent Reznor is a true master of his craft. Everyone may say that NIN best days have past, but I prefer the more mature sound of NIN now. I think having Atticus in the band has totally rejuvenated Trent and it shows in their live shows. Just wish I would have bought tickets for both shows in Phoenix instead of just one after watching the amazing show they put on.
