Blue Note Hawaii

I’ve started listening to Yuki Chiba since his song appearance in Street Women Fighter and I didn’t know what to expect especially since this was more of a Jazz Venue. Boy was I in for a surprise. He was absolutely hilarious. We were also one of the lucky tables to get to cheers with him with our drinks. He spoke English and Japanese very well often making fun of things in Japanese and then translating it. His bandmates were amazing musicians. He also did amazing adlibbing songs about his time in Hawaii and whatever is on his mind (like his 400,000 yen penthouse)

Mr. Cruz was amazing as usual! It was an incredible evening of music and talk story! My wife and I can’t wait until he returns to the Blue Note and we will travel to see him in Maui as well! We love when he performs and collaborates with other artists!

She was more amazing than I expected. She is a must see if any where near you. She has got to be ranked with the best stand up bassist and/or electric bassist on the planet. Absolutely amazing!!!!

Will was excellent. As for the mic it was hard to understand him. Bluenote needs to hire a real audio technician or buy new mics.

Epic to see Pat Solo! First time I saw him play live, I was 18 years old; it changed my life! This solo show was truly amazing.

Jake is the absolute greatest! Pure Heart is legendary. Jon and his amazing voice, Lopaka is a world class percussionist. I hope these guys keep playing together into their golden years.

The band was great! But the lead was rude and kept stopping the music and yelling at the band. He was the one that was having a hard time keeping time and forgetting lyrics.

I loved the show!! What a great talent in piano and voice!! I really enjoyed that he shared an unpublished song and told the story of some of the songs. I am glad to be a fan <3

Hunter talked to me for like 2 minutes from the stage he is so personable. It's 326 show and I came all the way from Ohio. I'm the best ever 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I kidd I kidd About me being the best ever but no the show was the best ever LOL

The whole performance was absolutely sublime and seamless. My king at his greatest loving life. Not forgetting The Uprising Band Members as without you working as a team. I've been a fan of this guy for years and have dreamed of watching his guitar skills live. I enjoyed every second of the show. So much that I bought a ticket for the 2nd show after watching the first one. Not gonna lie, I cried and laughed hearing my favorite songs and the talent of the rest of his band just jamming out on stage. Thank you for coming to Hawaii. Please bring Vulfpeck back with you the next time you visit the islands. We about dat funk here in the 808!

I was thoughtly entertained and impressed by his music and how he interacted with the audience. He was humble and so appreciated. All the musicians on stage, including his two children we all adorable and professional. Jake took the time to take pictures with fans and family and turned around to say Aloha to me and shake my hand. Looking forward to seeing him at more shows. I promise, he will not disappoint 🤙

Concert was excellent. Band was tight. Great set of songs. Good energy in the audience. Go see Skatalites and have fun

Ummmm, we are seeing them on the 24th in Waimea. Have loved them since 1975 but this is a bit early??????

We actually attended the early show on Sunday, March 3rd. I was so excited when I saw the posting that Larry Carlton was coming to Blue Hawaii. The night of the show was OUTSTANDING!!! The best part was when Larry heard me from the front table call out his song, "Smiles And Smiles To Go"...my favorite, by the way. He played it next and gave me a nod and point afterwards. I still have a big smile on my face to this day. 🤩😍🤗🎸🎵🎶

This was an Awesome first experience for me and the group I was with . We really enjoyed her and she still sounds Fantastic!!! Can't wait for her new album to come out. The service at Blue Note was great. Our server was great, too. She really took care of us. I can't wait to go back for Maxi Priest.

The performers need more a/c in stage so that they are comfortable. We enjoyed the sing along and the performance. He’s a wonderful entertainer and his bands are also accomplished musicians. Mandolin! The servers were very busy. Our’s forgot to bring part of our order and we had her change the bill, because yes, she charged us and never checked in with us. Another dropped bottles of beer on customers. Tough night for them.

We had the best Meet and Greet before this show. There were just 3 of us, so we joined Rufus and Jörn in Ru’s dressing room for a meeting that lasted about 5 minutes.

Mailani was magnificent. Not only was her voice amazing but she also “talks story” about the songs which gives them depth and meaning.
