It was my first time inside the venue, it has a wide floor with various side boxes and a rear balcony. A very old school feel to it it kind of reminded me a little bit of Music Box theater in Chicago. There's no seating on the main floor but I brought my own seat. The sound is absolutely phenomenal, I'd seen White Buffalo for the first time in 2020 when they did an online concert at the beginning of covid. My mind was blown away and I was left with a longing to see them in person. At the time, they only did concerts in the southwest and I never thought I would see them live. They were absolutely phenomenal.
I did the vip meet and greet package, every thing was well organized and the show itself was stunning. Allie was super sweet with talking to each of us and taking her time to sign and personalize any and everything she created.
Only issue was vip fans had the merch opened 10 minutes before the show started so you had to choose between a front row seat or getting merch and at show end it was all sold out. Hopefully merch will be on her store later in the year if anything is left over from the tour but other than that 100/10
Great Show!
First time at Thalia Hall and I was very impressed by the venue itself and the sound system for this show--rich and deep without being deafening. Only negative was they (band or venue) listed the start time as 8pm (doors @7), however the show didn't start until shortly after 9pm--over 90 minutes of waiting for a show that, however brilliant, was about 100+ minutes.

Beautiful historic venue with amazing club in the basement for post-show drinks. Marc never ceases to amaze - this was the 3rd of four times seeing him on this tour, and he bring the energy and passion every night. The opening act - Joe Hertler & the Rainbow Seekers - from Michigan - were also great support and warmed up the crowd. But in the end, Marc's stage presence and the songs themselves (he played all of Carencro which was amazing) just are electric
This my second time seeing TBLSH live and never having heard Mo Lowda before, we were shocked to find out that The Bright Light Social Hour was the opener. This band is such a treat! They are so tight, they have the greatest vibe, crowd interaction and talent! They have multiple albums out, wide variety of music and vocals! I couldn’t sit down the whole time, I was so excited to enjoy this awesome, awesome band. I say run don’t walk at your next opportunity to hear this amazing group of Rockstars.! I cant wait until my next chance!! ❤️
This is my second time seeing Sofiane, and my first time ever at Thalia Hall. We had a small opera box by the stage which offered amazing views. Everyone was so excited to see him and he gave a tremendous performance. His pieces have a way of either making your hair stand on end or creating such a deep soul-ache for a past that was much-loved but now gone. Highly recommend him live!!
Randy was great. The problem was with the seating. The chairs were arranged exatly behind the chair in front, so that patrons' eyes iined up with the next patron's head. By leaning over into my neighbor's space I was able to see a little of the show, however Randy's position was so low that the partons in front of me blocked my view with their shoulders. I am 5' 7".
My first time seeing these guys and had ridiculous expectations that they exceeded. Shows are church for me and the energy exchanges brought my eyes to tears multiple times. Wanted to see both nights but life. Dwyer is unbottled lightning on stage. It blows my mind they don't have enough of a following to come to the smaller towns.
Literally the best stand up out there I believe n definitely did not disappoint this time!! Not a dry or stale moment the entire time on stage.... the dude is just a natural at making people laugh. I had such a great time, I've been to a handful of comedy shows and this was the absolute best show I've been to so far.
As always, Meshell Ndegeocello presented carefully curated poetic artistry and sonic genius to her audience. Meshell’s understated giant of a presence quietly filled Thalia Hall with a few laughs, love, and acoustic embraces that hugged our souls. Her set list spanned several albums, including, “Plantation Lullabies” and “Comfort Woman,” somewhat of rare treat to experience. The star of the show was of course her latest album, “The Omnichord Real Book.” She performed several songs from the jam-packed 18-track album. One of those brilliant compositions was the aurally pristine, and transportive song, “The 5th Dimension.” The song calls for all of us to ascend into a state of “humble love.” It was a beautiful experience. As always.
Shygirl is one of my favorites! I loved how que*r the crowd was. Everyone had their own style and you could feel the air buzzing. The only thing with her is that.. she kept the stage so dark you couldn’t see her face. And I do wish she did more on the stage. I really love her tho and she sounded great
Neal Francis set Thalia hall on fire along with every member of the 11 piece band. Never ending dance jams, face melting solos, and angelic harmonies added to the ethereal and contagious energy in the room. My feet were sore from dancing and my face was sore from making an unconscious and never ending stank face. My personal favorite concert of 2023 so far. I cant wait till the live album drops and everyone in Chicago can hear our unanimous cheers for the incredible live musician Neal Francis along with his gifted band.
Taylor and his merry band ripped the roof off Thalia Hall. It was the best show I've seen there yet ... and that's including Bob Mould, Violent Femmes & The Cult/BRMC [which all rocked!] Dawes is a great band made even better when seen live. This was my 5th time seeing them and I can't wait for the next time!
Ive been a long time Pepper fan and been to many shows. This by far was the best show i have ever been to. Pepper smashed it! They played Kona Town in its original form. Nothing added. Perfect just like the album. The encore was amazing. Acoustic set that led to a few favorite songs-ashes- cant wait to catch another show!
she was great! i saw her for the first time when she opened for alec benjamin and she was honestly amazing! seeing her again last night was breathtaking 🫶🏼 she played some oldies as well as her new music and everyone was having such a good time 💗 10/10 the sweetest soul 🤍 she even signed my shirt! 🥲
Great show. Never seen Frozen Soul or MDC and they were great. First time seeing Brujeria as well. Awesome. Only issue I had was the guy swinging that belt and trying to get too rough with women. I will never be cool with that. I actually got him out of there because security wouldn't do it. Hurting women is off limits. All that shit shows is that you're a fucking coward. Other than that, Napalm always brings it. Those guys are awesome. 🤘🤘
it was so beautiful aaaaaaA i love it smm thanks robbie:D , the whole crown felt so comforting aaaa not to mention a made a friend :-) (this is coming from a person that gets very very anxious around a lot of people) more pictures and videos from the concert on my Instagram :) @g0blin.kiid thank you robbie once again for the amazing concert! u r the best
Kurt was nice and H’d out crankin’ the hitz. Natural information society the bad the opened was acid itself. I vocally said” Hell yes to all of this.” out loud during the open where the quintet played a squeeze box and some sort of oval leather bass a clarinet. It was utter captain Beefheart madness . And boy I bet that as some expensive horse our boy Kurt was on… high performance skag. Allowed him do Loading zones strong and early. Thrashed on the axe too throughout the concert . 5 fucking stars. Way to go Kurt. Way to go me.
The show was amazing. Deafheaven is such a fantastic act - it was so amazing to see them play so much of their newest album as well as a bunch of their oldies all the way back to Sunbather.
On top of that, Midwife & Holy Fawn were super great as well. I will say, Holy Fawn has a way of getting their sound into your body - it literally feels like it's coming from the floor and shaking your insides out.
Ugh, just wanna see them again and again, what a great time.
