if you like their albums, you have to see them live. High Energy show that got everyone moving, which is an accomplishment in Chicago. Chicagoans usually stand around like zombies, but this show everyone was jumping around and vibing
They fuckin slayed. Glad to see you're doing better Henry please keep making music and playing shows. Anytime you guys are back in Chicago I'm there!
Reggie's Music Joint is a bit of a dive, but it's a classic venue, and generally underappreciated. The local acts that warmed up the crowd included Rain Garden along with the contemporary configuration of Night Swims. Some highs and some lows, as the ambiance was created for some fabulous rock and roll.
The Constellations started out and followed through as more professionally polished and talented musicians whose continuity belied their tenure together. The Setlist, handed to me after the show, was great as transcribed to the online platform as: https://www.setlist.fm/venue/reggies-music-joint-chicago-il-usa-23d1f03b.html Starting off with some tuning and stage banter, the band launched into the Southern Gothic standard "Setback." Through a blend of new and old songs, the band masterfully played off of one another. Highlights through the set included the higher profile early commercial successes of "Perfect Day" and "Felicia." Already, up on YouTube are a few clips from an audience member of "Lightly to Your Love" with the segue into "Too Dumb to Die," which on the stage setlist was entitled "To [sic] Dumb to Die," amusing in its own right, giving a whole new meaning to the song. Nevertheless, the rendition of "Kentucky Queen" from the new album for which they are touring, entitled 'Problematic for the People,' showed their finesse, as well as the interactions through improv built through rehersals among and between the musicians.
Unfortunately, the dance floor didn't fill up until the very last song, "The End of the World," but the whole show was entirely danceable, as everyone in the house could feel the music, artfully managed by the house sound engineer. A great performance, by a band of skilled artisans that appear to be back on track, resilient in the course of building beyond where its legacy was trending, before the multi-year hiatus.
not to be dramatic but it changed my life. best concert ive ever had the pleasure to go to. love you Jiluka. Reggies was great
Restless Spirit was awesome, wish they would have played longer! Obsessed were great but very short set. I think they only played for less than an hour. Was looking forward to some other great songs but maybe next time
Fantastic as always. I'm from the same town as them so used to them playing larger shows with bigger crowds like in AZ so I was worried about it being in a smaller place. It was actually SO much better. Reggie's is an AWESOME place to go and seeing them in a smaller more intimate setting was the best show I've ever had with them. I hope they come to Chicago more now that I'm here.
Mesa still rocks though 🤘💜
We'd been anticipating this show. Alain Johannes is surely a force and his creative genius is something to witness. Since following him in the Eleven years, but never seeing him live, this was such a treat. He was extremely gracious with his time and signed our merch as well. We're hoping he stays close and we can see him more frequently now that the stars are aligned in our lives to be " groupies"!

AudioMonkeys ROCK! I can't wait to see them again live. These guys play really well together, they are talented individually and as a group. They interact with the audience and clearly enjoy themselves and we enjoyed them right back! Reggie's was a great venue, clean and fun!
Wild wild wild show. For nudy to get this pop in Chicago was inspiring, having seen him and Pierre and carti at HoB for magnolia. I had the 5fingers and the FU up the whole time. Blowing big gelato and cookies. He brought zone 6 to south loop right next to the sharks chicken stand. Valid
Great time, Jeff needs to tour more often! Saw them about 15 years ago on blackest of black tour with Danzig and dimmu borgir!
Kofi is one of the top rock n roll drummers of our era. If you have the opportunity to see him live, it's a must!
Awesome Night!!! Great Band! These guys ROCK!! Can’t wait to see you guys again! And super pumped for more music! Thank You!!
This one was a banger if u missed it u lost out on sime good vibes and energy...not to mention the wild ass pit
Put on one of if not the best metal show experiences I've ever seen I hope they get to tour the states again because this is a show that you don't want to miss I promise!!!!
It is not often that you are graced with the presence of an extraordinary lead singer who very well may be past his prime, or is he? The amount of energy and sweat that exhuberated from this prince of the pipes was enough to power Chicago for 10 years. I have NEVER seen a man give that much and still have fuel in the tank for more. The same can be said about Dancing Guy. Moves like Jagger? Not quite but if a 40 year old man can move like that for almost two hours, you know what you are in store for. The Bosstones would be proud of the nuances displayed, the love for their music, and the tradition of keeping music like this alive for generations to come. Toxic Toast has continued where the Bosstones left off, beers are still flowing, panties are still soaked, and large men can still rock white suits. So, when's the next show?
Great show! Great service too, our waitress was awesome. Will definitely be back, highly recommend. The food was great too! Pack A.D. is one of my favorite bands and Becky and Maya signed merch for me after the show, can't wait to catch another show when they are in my area.
Amazing bands! And I went for TBM ! someone fell and they were so amazing stopped them show and got them help and they without missing a beat immediately got back to rocking 🤘🏻🎶 dream come true, amazing night truly needed in these hard times.
This band kills it every week at their long Reggie's residency. Loyal fans return each week to hear a great mix of classic rock and jam.
Puts 110 percent into his shows. Great lead guitarist who plays Spanish flamenco in heavy metal. Must get his solo albums which are guitar instrumentals. Songs like kilocycle interval and albums like Colossal myopia will blow you away!
