I’ve seen Rachel Platten in a couple times in the past, but I’ve never seen her at the Lincoln Hall before, but she really put on an amazing concert! I love her music and she can connect with her fans on stage! I was super close to the stage and had so much fun dancing and singing my heart out to every single song!
Forest Blakk is an incredible artist and overall human. This was my third time seeing him in concert, and i thought this was his best show yet. He brought his A game with his sense of humor, how he related to the audience, and how he worked the stage. Not to mention his beautiful songs and the way only he can tell the story behind each song and sing them with such emotion. He spent time with fans during a VIP before the show and again afterwards. He has vowed to always be the last person to leave a venue so he can meet every single fan!
Doechii is an incredible artist that regardless of what resources she has she is able to fill an entire venue with her undeniable and indelible intention of expression at the absolute highest level while finding ways to bring the audience with her on the journey of performance. Highly Recommend to all who enjoy art and freedom.
The show was amazing. I haven't seen M Ward in a while so it was great to have experienced this show. From the venue to the people there it was really quite amazing and has stuck with me since. If you get a chance to see someone you like at Lincoln Hall do it.! Cannot recommend enough, and if you are an M. Ward fan you should see him live as well. The albums are great, but his live shows are truly mesmerizing. This was my fourth or fifth time seeing him, and it was just as good as the first.
barely knew the music and was still one of the best shows i’ve ever been to, super intimate with a bunch of interaction and he led into almost every song with a story or joke, was awesome to see the band just play together + you could tell they were all having fun up there instead of just playing a set
TALK was great live. He and his band were great, they may have even sounded better live. Near the end of the show it seemed like TALKs vocals were getting a bit more strained which is understandable since touring is newer for him. There was only one thing that left a sour taste in my partner and my mouth, so sour to the point it’s a little hard to listen to TALKs music and support him the same.
The show was amazing at first and then the lead singer went and groped his guitarist. It seemed random and wasn’t so bad the first time, but it continued through out the show with him even grabbing the guitarists face and licking it. My partner commented how the guitarist looked uncomfortable at that point. He rubbed the bassists head at one point and gave him a single small shout out, but when it came to the guitarist he kept raving about how grate he was while rubbing his chest, hair, and groping him from behind during songs.
This was very uncomfortable to watch. My partner even commented how the lead singer was always the one to approach the guitarist and never the other way.
TALK is wonderfully talented and seems genuine, but the groping interactions left us feeling uncomfortable and with a soar taste in our mouth. I also have read other reviews which have also mentioned these interactions.
Loved it so much I got nachos after without have sex!!! Had to pregame that shit!! But seriously I love seeing these guys and anytime they are in the Midwest I’ll be at the concert. Great price point for the tickets. Making my college experience better by not worrying about the price of the tickets. Great memories were made here.
Ethan was great! The Lincoln Hall venue is intimate. I was not thrilled to see the “full lecture hall mode” setup, in Tasch’s words, but it made for a nice respectful audience. Nobody chattering. The sound was great. After hearing Tasch interview, listening to his body of work and seeing his fun videos, I’ve become an instant fan at age 65. I got to chat with Ethan briefly near the merch table where I purchased socks and bought him a drink. I’ll see him again whenever he comes back to Chicago. I expect next visit will be a much larger venue.
Such an amazing and moving show from such a talented and down-to-earth group. They put their hearts into their music and you could feel it fill the venue. I’m so honored to have been a part of the moment they created. And I can’t wait for the release of their upcoming album ‘Metamorphosis’. I can’t wait to see how far they go! Chicago’s got Mad Love for Infinity Song!
This show felt like the family reunion Sunday after church. Mikes performance w his DJ is unparalleled word can’t describe a mike show w the right crowd. He didn’t even have to do his own lyrics just play the sample , not even the whole beat, and negus would start reciting the lyrics. This might be the pound for pound best concert I’ve ever been to. 10/5
This was our 2nd concert at Lincoln Hall...the first being the other Sierra (Ferrell) last week.... We absolutely loved both shows, and Lincoln Hall is an excellent, very clean and classy venue. The sound system and acoustics are great too. Also, each concert was very easy on the ears---ie-the volume was very tolerable, at least at the two "Americana" oriented shows we saw....
In conclusion, i highly recommend seeing a show there.
I laughed at times, I cried at times. I was left so emotionally vulnerable after Will’s Performance that still, 24 hours later, I haven’t even remotely begun to recover from the sheer rollercoaster of this night. Endless Mike, Matt Pless, and Shayfer James also KILLED IT! Lots of good folk and blues and klezmer music! 9/10 would recommend to a friend and/or colleague.
Loved the show, but it wasn’t perfect. I first bought vip to meet covet, and the email said it was going to start at 6. i got there around 5:50 but they said the vip already happened. i tried to talk to any other staff member but they all directed me back to that same person. aside from that, the bands played great. covet didn’t have their bassist which was kinda disappointing. hikes was my favorite band of the night, they crushed it. just a few things that would have made it great were lacking.
Absolutely awesome show, setlist focused on Panther and In The Passing Light of Day with some favorites from The Perfect Element Pt. 1. Daniel's vocals were fantastic and great to see Johan back in Chicago. A standout moment was Leo taking the solo vocal for "I lost the will...I lost the way...". Absolutely sublime falsetto into a powerful chest voice, it was a jawdropping and unbelievable moment. Can't wait for the new album, love these guys and celebrate the whole discography.
Wish I could give it a gazillion stars 🤩 so happy for the band and especially for Joe; great to see him after his recovery. Haven’t seen them since Coca Cola Roxy! Venue was so intimate and I was a foot away from the stage 😱 it was such a groovy time🧡🍍itching for the new album. I want you to eat me alive 😈
Oh all the amazing things I could say about this Sonreal concert! First off the venue was great. Super small and intimate but you never feel claustrophobic. Met some amazing people, Sonreal has the best fans! He himself was AMAZING live, he sounds just like his records we couldn’t be happier with how the night went! Can’t wait for the next Sonreal concert!!!!!!
I literally met Dallon outside when waiting bc before the show like at 10 AM he came out and saw us there and We had been waiting from 7 AM so he appreciated that a lot. Even tho the way they let you in at the venue was kinda bad because people who got there like 30 mins before the show basically were able to get first row when people who waited outside for hours get back. (I'm the blode haired one :D)
A dream come true! The Church did not disappoint. They lived up to my hopes and I'm so happy I finally got to see them live! I so appreciate venues like Lincoln Hall providing shows like this in the way that they do.
See the Church if you can and see a show at Lincoln Hall if you can.

Been a fan of SG Lewis for quite some time and I’m happy I got to finally see him live. What an experience! The show was great and I heard a lot of my favorites live.
After the show, my sister and I had to get cash from an ATM outside the venue to buy merch. We didn’t get to see the sign that said you can’t re-enter the building without a wristband. Since my sister was under age and didn’t have a wrist band, she had to stay outside while I hurried and purchased merch. While making my purchase, Sam and Tom came up and started greeting everyone. After having a conversation with both of them, we took some photos and they signed my shirt. Then they were so kind enough to send my sister, who was stuck outside, a nice message. That meant more than anything.
Thanks again for an amazing show and I will see you all again soon!
