EVERYONE ALWAYS FEELS WELCOME AT KFLAYS SHOWS! Also such positive inspirational uplifting messages to her fans. We feel so good and welcome during and after! She lost half of her hearing and still performs SO incredibly Beautifully energetically amazing! She also freestyled beyond possible with incredible speed and flow. She sang with a gift like no other musician can. She shredded on guitar. There is no show like a kflay show always a great performance and vibe!!!!!!!!
I am so happy that Minneapolis was included on the How It Ends album's 20th Anniversary tour. Excellent performances by all, including the trumpet playing drummer and the Minneapolis local who joined in on trumpet. Nick's voice was strong and compelling. Tom is a virtuoso of everything he touches. And Jeanie is there providing that driving baseline groove.
I love Everclear and saw them several times 20+ years ago. It was a fun show but they just aren’t sounding as great these days. Art loves what he does and it shows but his voice struggled and it felt like he only sang about half of the lyrics. I’m glad I went for nostalgia but probably wouldn’t go to see them again.
From the opening act, Cassandra Lewis to Allen Stone and his awesome band it was a real treat to hear
their amazing vocals. Both performers were extremely engaging as well. I can’t wait to see them both soar. Cheers to you both for making our night one to remember for a long time.
The band was bangin!!! The lights at the venue were blinding to the crowd. The sound mix was a bit questionable (guitar was really light in the mix). Vocals were great and out in front. The transition from Ed Harcordt to the Whigs was really awesome. If it weren’t for the lighting at First Ave, this would have been a 10 on a scale of 1-5.
It was a good venue, full crowd and both bands did great! Saint Motel was such an awesome show that brought a different flavor that a lot of other bands don't do, making it an awards show style while also introducing everyone to the band, and they kept engaging the crowd.
Ruston is a brilliant artist and performer. His songs are thought provoking about the human experience. While some of the material comes from dark and painful experiences, he has a way of evoking a feeling of hope and optimism. If you like music with a little emotional depth to it, definitely try him out. I must have listened to the Weakness 50 times the first month it came out.
Some favorite random Ruston lyrics:
"Looking at the flowers coming up from the ground, through all of the rubble of everything that I tore down."
"I'm either shooting a bullseye or trying to miss."
"And I remember what TK said: You can't steer no boat by looking back at the wake"
Oh my god, they were so cool! All the bands on our show in Minnesota were phenomenal. Dragonforce absolutely blew me away and I even got to meet Herman and Marc! I’ve been waiting to see them since I was in 6th grade and, I have to say, they were so much better than I ever imagined.
Seeing them was a long time coming as I missed out seeing them in 2020 due to the pandemic.
They played a longer set than other bands that are quite popular, yet an opener. It was a fantastic set by them and flew by in no time. To me, the sound for them wasn't the best. The drums drown out much of the rest of the instrumentals. Loved to see Elize in person.
NBT and their opening act Kid Kapichi were easily worth the admission. Frankly I’m shocked NBT isn’t charging a hundred bucks for GA tickets. Kid Kapichi is a nice new punk complement to Nothing But Thieves’ mix of indie and ballads and soul. First Avenue has always been a dingy ass venue but I like the upstairs bar and viewing area. This was our fourth NBT show in Minneapolis and we will always come back for them. Looking forward to more Kapichi shows too.
What a fantastic show! I went for Bishop Briggs and found myself a fan of Misterwives! So many emotions from everyone and huge love for Bishop who sang High Water for the first, and only, time on the tour to help honor someone in the audience going through cancer themselves. ❤️
Literally, the best concert I've ever been to!! The people I queued next to were so incredibly nice, the city was amazing, and of course, the band was awesome!! I loved every second of that day and I wish I could go back in time and do it all over again
This hometown show was one of the best concerts I’ve ever attended. I initially got a ticket to see the opener Stand Atlantic, but after giving Mod Suns music a listen I fell in love. For the first time seeing him and just becoming a fan, I had an absolute blast! I will continue to grow as a huge fan of his. He has such a large heart and is insanely talented!
Would have given it more stars, but it was so loud that you couldn’t even understand the lyrics. Music was also super loud before they started., so there was no break on your ears. I’m a newer fan of theirs, so it would have been nice to understand the lyrics they were singing.
It was an excellent show. Last night of the tour and the last show with his drummer of 30 years. He got very emotional and actually left the stage in tears after thanking his whole touring staff, band members and the audience. It’s the most I’ve ever seen him engage the audience. A concert I will remember for ever!!
Everyone in the crowd: "I'll get over you I know I will. You made a whole in my heart, but I won't shed a tear for you. I'll be the king of wishful thinking"
Me: "I'll be the Queen of wishful thinking!"
Great show you guys, it was great seeing you guys live finally. I wish the best forward through the restnof the tour 🥰💗
Realized they were opening for a different band and only performed for 30 mins, really wanted to see them be the main performers because they're amazing (definitely going to be staying up to date with their schedules).
Nonetheless, seeing them perform for 30 mins was awesome! It made my entire week! Love their music and they sound great live!
I really can't wait for them to be the main performers next time!
I didn't take any photos but it was great! First time at First Ave. Michigander and Foxing were amazing and really engaging! Opening for Manchester Orchestra is nothing to shrug at. And these two acts have put the work and soul into their beautiful music and it shows. Love you guys! Thanks for playing your hearts out!
Long time listener and fan but I had never seen DC live until last night. It was well worth the wait. I will definitely be attending all future shows in my city. Chris is for sure one of the best ones of the best ones. He really knows how to work a crowd and deliver a heart filled personalized show. Thanks for all you do! Loved it!!
This was my first time seeing Yungblud and all I can say is Wow. The energy at this show was unbelievable. Dom and his band put on such an amazing show and the crowd just loved them. This concert is definitely in my top 5 of the best concerts I have ever been to. I will DEFINITELY be going again! 💗🖤
