Paylaye royale delivered a fantastic professional show and sounded so true to their albums .I knew I had to see them and they did not disappoint . They are going to go far .rock on guys and thank you I needed a good shot of rock and roll and your fix was right on !!!!!!!!!
Had an awesome time! I got the chance to talk with Moon, Keem, and Sushi from Ghostkid everyone put on an amazing show. It was my wife's first metal concert and she loved it. She said Johnny was an excellent performer and she loved Moons vocals. We'll definitely be back the next time they come around!
It was the best experience of my life. My first concert and it was with VIP soundcheck access. I got to meet my favorite artist. It was beyond words. Livingston is such a kind person and he truly cares about his fans and is an amazing artist and songwriter. I will never forget this experience.
Excellent show. Margaritas Podridas did not have the best sound, but still came across well and I hope to see them again in the future. Mannequin Pussy were amazing. Missy has amazing stage presence and the whole band puts on a fantastic show. I figured this was going to be a good show, but this blew me away with the energy and passion blasting from the stage. I really hope this isn't the last chance I get to see this band perform in Florida!
One of the best shows I've seen in awhile now! The venue was great and Brent put on a fantastic show... every song was just right... sounded good and felt good. Brent set a very high bar for any concert I see in the coming months... would definitely catch his show again. Thanks for great evening!
Intervals and TesseracT were great acts with great energy! The sound was great as well, which is actually more than I can say for the last show I went to at this venue. Alluvial had a van break down and couldn't make it which is perfectly fine, because shit happens.
The main issue here was the crowd. There was a lot of dead time between doors and when Intervals went on. I think this led to a far drunker and rude crowd. I don't expect "classical concert hall" decorum at a metal show, I'm not that new to the scene. But, even metal veterans can agree, that there is a small amount of common sense etiquette in metal crowds. I've never seen a crowd that was so adamant on pushing and shoving and moving around all throughout the show rather than going around people. At one point, my partner had a beer thrown in his direction out of (we assume) carelessness. While it does happen sometimes that people drop their drinks, or they get put down on the floor by an idiot and kicked around, this seemed a bit much.
The crowd energy just felt off from other shows I've been to. I think the main issue was that there was at least an hour and a half between doors and the first act where people drank more than they otherwise would have resulting in a rowdier crowd with more pushing, shoving, and standing in front of people, and other just generally uncool behavior toward their fellow fans. The venue and tour management should probably have worked to have Intervals go on a bit earlier so there was less dead time between doors and the first act. I know that isn't always possible, but I think it may have helped with the overintoxication of the crowd which would have been a more fun experience.
Great show, great venue, but the $25.00 credit card minimum is a little much for a lot of people. Tried to get some sodas for some non drinking folks only to be told either cash or spend 25. I said I could buy some food, they said that didn't count toward total. We ended up not having anything to drink all night long due to this as we only brought credit cards.
Second time bf and I got to see them and first time for my brother who's been a fan for a long time. Glad we went !! Had a blast, love the venue. First time there since Ybor! Also, great set from the previous bands too! All around great vibes and great drink service too! 👌 crown the empire yall always bring it! 🤘
Hope the venue has great bands like them in the future.
Thank you guys so much for coming to Florida. I LOVE old Katatonia & new; and it was an amazing experience for my first concert. I can listen to you guys at any time of the day and I felt a new meaning to a lot of their songs seeing them live. Thank you guys for coming here it's one of the best moments of my life seeing you guys live ❤️
I came to the show to see Youth Fountain and they played an awesome set. The band is so talented and kind and Tyler was awesome and signed a CD for me. Definitely an experience that sold me on staying a lifetime YF fan! I’m so happy they’re getting more attention and fans from this tour and can’t wait to see them again!!
Sounded really good live even though I wasn’t familiar with a lot of their music I wanted to check it out and am glad I did. I liked every song but noticed the bass guitar and keys were pre-recorded lol. I’m sure it’s rough touring theses days and it seems they chose 3 guitars instead since there’s so many layers to their music. Would have liked to hear pin your wings but can’t complain.
Best show with the best band. It rained but what is rain to a Floridian? My first time seeing my favorite band, it blew my mind hearing them open with And the Hero Will Drown as it was the first song of their’s that I heard all those years ago as a high schooler when I picked up Need for Speed Underground.
END was great, and what a surprise it was to see Billy Rymer (DEP) behind the kit!!!!! Had no idea he was drumming for them. Eighteen Visions also headlined this show playing the vanity album in full with some tracks from obsession as well. They were also fun to watch even though the vocalist and guitarist are the only 2 original members. Looks like Josh (Evergreen Terrace/STYG) is now playing guitar in eighteen visions also.
Erra sounds great live, and this is no exception. They are technically precise and excellent musicians, and it shows.
The Orpheum recently cha he'd venues recently. It used to be located on Ybor City, with a balcony. That was a nice venue. They changed to some other place 15 minutes away. The parking situation was crazy. They had one lot, full of puddles and dips. It was completely full. We circled the road for 15 minutes like idiots trying to find some remote lot. Finally some staff member came out and made us some room.
I sweat my ass off the entire time. It was hotter than outdoors. It wad awful and stuffy. No Orpheum for me ever again. Erra better find another venue next time. Not worth it.
I went to this event in April when the Orpheum was still in Ybor. The music was truly disco with mostly ABBA. Amazing. The venue was great and we had a blast. Last night we had fun but the dj was not as on point with the music. More 80s and even some 90s music. Barely any ABBA. Hated the venue. Bad area. Dirty. Just felt like a warehouse. Might I recommend looking into The Floridian in St Pete.
@thy art.
I seen you guys playing around with the football by the bus and I wanted to get a pic but you looked like you were having too much fun. Welcome to Florida. :)
I missed you guys right before pandemic with aversions crown. Tampa was the next show before they canceled the tour. It was good to finally see you guys play and what a freaking show. Love the death MiC!!!
First time at The Orpheum and first time seeing a band that I really wanted to hear live. I was not disappointed in both cases. The Orpheum is a cool place to see and listen to good music. Also if you get a chance check out The Warning, three sisters from Mexico that ROCK & Roll. It was a big party.
The opening acts Oxymorrons and Royal and the Serpant were awesome. Grandson's show was good, but I could have done without the hate speech politics between songs. And this is after he just said we should all make each other feel comfortable... this was the real oxymoron. I held them in a higher regard that they could think for themselves and not just regurgitate the narrative from the leftist news networks. It could have been a 5 star show.
this was my 3rd time seeing them and my 1st time meeting them. i’m usually hella awkward when i meet bands but i wasn’t awkward at all when i met them. couldn’t sleep the night before bc i was thinking of things to ask them and i only to ask one of those things 😂 counting down the months and days until cte announces their next tour 🤘🏽🖤😝
crown and erra and shvpes were amazing. but I won't be going back to this venue. these reasons... first off , it's crazy they don't look for weapons, drugs, anything harmful to people before you go in. 2nd they are so lazy there! the security were all playing on there phones while the damn lighting area and sound guys were being pushed around and having all there shit ruined , by drunk idiots. they were hitting each other and moshing to bands that aren't that hard to me, and in the mean time they kept pushing the equipment booth over! the poor guys were asking for help to keep it still. I had to have my fiance go over and get help for this poor guy. I'm not surprised people get hurt at this place like this.
