That was one hell of a kick-a*s show! So glad he played my favorite song I just like to say f**k! I was also hoping to hear Rambo, and put your death mask on, but you know they did what time allowed. Wednesday had a really cool outfit on. The stage setup was pretty sweet and the band played a really tight set. The crowd was good I got a mosh pit going for a little while on one song. This crowd wasn't really too much into moshing LOL it's all good it was a great show if you weren't there you missed it! Glad to see Wednesday is back on tour again and if you read this Wednesday thanks for coming to Portland! I know it's a dirty s**t hole right now but we missed you come back anytime!!
Incredible. Incredible. Captivating. Inspiring. A must see independent artist, free from the confinement of management and skeezy labels. Truly a magical experience to see her sing live. Her vocal and lyrical talent blend into a variety of pop styles that feel forgotten by many artists who currently are hitting the charts, yet would be incredible candidates for radio. I truly hope more people discover this amazing 👭👩❤️💋👩 talent, especially in the northwest. My only complaint would be that she deserves to sell out every show and have state of the art equipment to capture her vocals fully. Without a label and without management, I know that she has a tough road ahead to the stardom that she so deeply deserves and has earned. It's important to support true talent regardless of how mainstream they become. Chrissy has that. Her team of friends and other eclectic 🏳️🌈 artists with an array of talents supporting her in that journey and I hope you can support her too. Stream her music, share her with your friends and go to her shows.
Truly phenomenal. I was riding the high I felt from this show for a solid week after. Heartbroken that it was my first and last time seeing them, but it was an honor to be there, front row. Got to hold Josh’s guitar and it made for a very surreal evening. Unforgettable. Legendary. Thanks Josh and Nikko!
Brother Ali gets five stars. Great stage presence, still an amazing lyricist and just such an intelligent, unique, and worldly guy. Usually when musicians talk between songs you're just waiting for them to get back to the music, but Ali's stories of his life and fellow rappers are amazing to hear. I love the rap but I would pay to just listen to the guy talk.
Incredible. The whole band is nothing but talent and anyone with a brain cell should be gobbling up these tickets. Go see giants in your life. Brought my two best friends one a raver and one a hip hop dude. They were floored. This is the best live stuff ever. And Shannon ridout. JFC this is what it’s about. Her everything is sensational. I’ll be thinking about this couple shows and te watching few videos until I can see them again. 10,000 stars. Go buy a f*****g ticket.
It was overall a great show and I appreciated not having to spend too much waiting time between sets. I've wanted to see Defeated Sanity live for ages, and I was pretty blown away. I haven't seen Inferi since 2019 and they're just as good as I remember them being. The only really downside was that the sound mixing for the second band, Organectomy, was wonky and I could hardly hear the vocals or the guitarist on stage right for much of their set, which wasn't an issue for the other 3 bands.
Show was great, 5 stars. Rome was not for me, but I appreciate the diversity of the lineup!
Venue's sound system on the other hand felt, to my admittedly amateur ears, muddy and incorrectly mixed. I get that the kick should be loud for black metal, but if I cant hear the shredding over the kick drum with -27db ear protection, i think thats wrong. and to boot, stage left speaker clipping was miserably loud. S**********s, but I feel judgey and am going to assume that blown speaker represents lessons not learned. -2 stars for sound, all venue staff were charming and friendly, so net minus one star.
ALWAYS A GREAT TIME, 5 TIMES DOWN LAST YEAR I HAD A WALKER WITH ME TO GET AROUND, THIS YEAR I DIDN'T. RECOVERING FROM ILLNESS IS HARD AND LONG. HAPPY I'M HERE FOR IT. ALWAYS A GREAT SHOW AND THANK YOU. DANTE'S BEST VENUE EVER, VERY ACCOMMODATING, HIGHLY RECOMMEND! LOOK FORWARD TO THE NEXT SHOW. THANKS
Absolutely Wicked concert! Knockturnal, Bake Lo, Sorry X, ABK, Blaze Ya Dead Homie, & Twiztid were f*****g awesome to see live. I was surprised that Dante's could hold that many juggalos in one spot lol, the drink prices at Dante's was the one downside though; $7 for a low shelf shot is quite spendy, especially in this economy. Aside from that everything was excellent!
mc Chris always fun & hella hilarious!
Tough a*s set for the old schoolers.
Only problem is that he coulda played for 3 hrs & not hit all my faves lol
Always hoping to hear the DC blitz(parts 1,2&/or6);
But even tho he didn’t play it, everything was still a blast!
Hope to see mc again soon!
…”FOR THE NEXT 20 YEARS!”
Nisse, Anders, and company were spellbinding! Full of passionate intensity, tight and accurate as an ensemble, they played for over an hour and the sound was rich and full and HUGE! Nisse’s scream is just as powerful as it was 20 years ago, and his vocal sorcery held the audience in a trance. The younger rhythm section was flawless, well-suited to the music and the live ritual. They played every song we hoped they would, and we came away feeling lucky to have been there. Fans of the genre should not miss the opportunity to see Sacramentum live! Kudos as well to the opening acts, Vimur and Dark Crucible, two new favorite bands!
One of the best shows I've been to!! The Reverend was awesome!!! Then Jim brought up Jimmy Dale to sing one of his own songs and he was amazing. I'm not much of a country music guy, but Dale Watson and Jason D. Williams are my new favorite country acts. All around the show was just great!!!!
Amazing set and energy. The local opener Barnaby Jones put on a great show and set the vibe for the night. The touring opener Mitchell Ferguson wasn’t my cup of tea. He played quite a few covers that just didn’t translate well in my opinion. Dexter snd the Moonrocks played all the songs I wanted to hear plus a few fun covers of their own. 10/10 would see them again when they come back to Portland.
They were a li'l rusty but, hey...I think we're ALL a li'l bit rusty; STILL tryin' to shake off everything covid-related, the fentanyl epidemic, the Ukraine & Russia "love fest," Trump, Biden, pronouns, etc, etc, et. ce. te. ra. aaaaand... y'know, just the overall filth, degradation and nihilism that is rampant throughout (at the very least) the U.S.
SO: I won't fault Zao for bein' a li'l rusty. By and large, I had a good time...I mean, a reeeaaally good time. Especially since it was a Thursday night and the venue was a fantastic place to see 'em. Hopefully they'll be back sooner than "20 million years," as the singer, Dan Weyandt, put it.
Indeed. That would be quite loverly. Thank you, Zao, and godspeed...🤘🏻
It was amazing! It was my first time seeing both bands and they did not disappoint! The drinks were good, didn’t try the pizza that was there. Stage isn’t huge but it’s a small venue so that’s to be expected. I noticed they had a tv screen on the wall (left side of the stage) for people to see, however it looked to be black and white. They have a spot outside where you can have your drink and smoke if you wish. I don’t think they have AC because it was definitely hot in there with how many people there were in the beginning. They did have a huge fan near the merch table facing one of the bars that was nice if you stood in front of it.
It was AWESOME. I've been waiting awhile to see them again and it was great to see LAURA kickin a*s having taken over the singing. EDDIE ripping on the Guitar as always and the New Drummer fits in great with his HUGE drum kit!! TIGERS ON OPIUM kicked a*s as always and Deadfeather was killer as my first time seeing them!
These gurls kicked-a*s as usual! Outstanding musicianship & showmanship! They Never disappoint. The crowd was kindof lame, tho - alot of woke millenials that didn’t really respond to the music, freaked out if you accidentally touched them while you were dancing (“no!”
w/hand extended out…” that’s Not ok!” ) & gave me the stink-eye for rocking-out. I’m 70 yrs old & I was 1 of only a handful of people that were respecting the music - hard rock music, people! Hands in the air! Jump around! Cut loose! But, no - they just stood motionless, maybe shaking their heads a little. Weak. No passion. No joy. Too bad- the show was Awesome!!!
I love this band, though the slimmed down acoustic tour isn’t quite my jam, but Ryan and Seth belted out some old favorites and new stuff. It’s worth noting Ryan fought through the flu up there, feeling terrible but not leaving the fans short changed. It was a solid performance for sure by a great singer, I enjoyed it. Dante’s has a real close up intimate feel, it was a great venue for this show.
Awesome show all around. TKK played a lot of songs especially my favorite song After The Flesh from The Crow soundtrack for the very last encore song.
Curse Mackey, the second opener really ripped it up and very energetic for a one man band. Loved his beginning song in which he had an oriental looking guy on stage doing a deep shamanic humming sound before the song. Was really awesome!
If you have not seen them live you have missed something special. Nothing like it in music today, but my best explanation is if 50s rock n roll met Rocket From the Crypt who was dating the Murder City Devils and they all dry humped in the back alley you would have the Atom Age, but that description still does not do them justice.
