mc Chris always fun & hella hilarious!
Tough ass set for the old schoolers.
Only problem is that he coulda played for 3 hrs & not hit all my faves lol
Always hoping to hear the DC blitz(parts 1,2&/or6);
But even tho he didn’t play it, everything was still a blast!
Hope to see mc again soon!
…”FOR THE NEXT 20 YEARS!”
Nisse, Anders, and company were spellbinding! Full of passionate intensity, tight and accurate as an ensemble, they played for over an hour and the sound was rich and full and HUGE! Nisse’s scream is just as powerful as it was 20 years ago, and his vocal sorcery held the audience in a trance. The younger rhythm section was flawless, well-suited to the music and the live ritual. They played every song we hoped they would, and we came away feeling lucky to have been there. Fans of the genre should not miss the opportunity to see Sacramentum live! Kudos as well to the opening acts, Vimur and Dark Crucible, two new favorite bands!
Outstanding Performance.
Riffs were tight, Jason on vocals tore it up (as always), rhythm and drums were on point!
Chris was phenomenal covering guitar duty!
S.O. always puts on an impressive set and this was no exception!
Can’t wait to see them again!
Awesome show, incredibly grateful to experience talented groups such as Worm and Hulder performing in their early years only to grow to reign supreme in the Black Metal realm! Dante’s bar however needs to fix their ATM, it always seems to be down and some bands only accept cash to purchase their merch.
This was an absolute first for me having never experienced this genre of music in my life. I honestly have to say I fully enjoyed the concert, and would go again should the opportunity ever present itself.
One of the best shows I've been to!! The Reverend was awesome!!! Then Jim brought up Jimmy Dale to sing one of his own songs and he was amazing. I'm not much of a country music guy, but Dale Watson and Jason D. Williams are my new favorite country acts. All around the show was just great!!!!
Amazing set and energy. The local opener Barnaby Jones put on a great show and set the vibe for the night. The touring opener Mitchell Ferguson wasn’t my cup of tea. He played quite a few covers that just didn’t translate well in my opinion. Dexter snd the Moonrocks played all the songs I wanted to hear plus a few fun covers of their own. 10/10 would see them again when they come back to Portland.
They were a li'l rusty but, hey...I think we're ALL a li'l bit rusty; STILL tryin' to shake off everything covid-related, the fentanyl epidemic, the Ukraine & Russia "love fest," Trump, Biden, pronouns, etc, etc, et. ce. te. ra. aaaaand... y'know, just the overall filth, degradation and nihilism that is rampant throughout (at the very least) the U.S.
SO: I won't fault Zao for bein' a li'l rusty. By and large, I had a good time...I mean, a reeeaaally good time. Especially since it was a Thursday night and the venue was a fantastic place to see 'em. Hopefully they'll be back sooner than "20 million years," as the singer, Dan Weyandt, put it.
Indeed. That would be quite loverly. Thank you, Zao, and godspeed...🤘🏻
That was a bucket list show I didn't have on my list. Man, what a great time. First Class Martians were outstanding, as were the Hangmen. Supersucker is the greatest rock band ever!
🤘😎✌️
It was amazing! It was my first time seeing both bands and they did not disappoint! The drinks were good, didn’t try the pizza that was there. Stage isn’t huge but it’s a small venue so that’s to be expected. I noticed they had a tv screen on the wall (left side of the stage) for people to see, however it looked to be black and white. They have a spot outside where you can have your drink and smoke if you wish. I don’t think they have AC because it was definitely hot in there with how many people there were in the beginning. They did have a huge fan near the merch table facing one of the bars that was nice if you stood in front of it.
Not my first concert, but by far my best concert experience ever!!!! Jake is such a good guy and have the best hugs and the band was everything I’d imagined then being in person!! I’d never heard Smash into Pieces before but they gained a new big fan last night. Best road trip EVER!!!
It was AWESOME. I've been waiting awhile to see them again and it was great to see LAURA kickin ass having taken over the singing. EDDIE ripping on the Guitar as always and the New Drummer fits in great with his HUGE drum kit!! TIGERS ON OPIUM kicked ass as always and Deadfeather was killer as my first time seeing them!
I got carded which I'd usually take as compliment. Unfortunately it was expired. But my nephew and his sweetheart had a blast. I gave our tickets to some passers by. And head home to plan on our next show... The D M V
These gurls kicked-ass as usual! Outstanding musicianship & showmanship! They Never disappoint. The crowd was kindof lame, tho - alot of woke millenials that didn’t really respond to the music, freaked out if you accidentally touched them while you were dancing (“no!”
w/hand extended out…” that’s Not ok!” ) & gave me the stink-eye for rocking-out. I’m 70 yrs old & I was 1 of only a handful of people that were respecting the music - hard rock music, people! Hands in the air! Jump around! Cut loose! But, no - they just stood motionless, maybe shaking their heads a little. Weak. No passion. No joy. Too bad- the show was Awesome!!!
I love this band, though the slimmed down acoustic tour isn’t quite my jam, but Ryan and Seth belted out some old favorites and new stuff. It’s worth noting Ryan fought through the flu up there, feeling terrible but not leaving the fans short changed. It was a solid performance for sure by a great singer, I enjoyed it. Dante’s has a real close up intimate feel, it was a great venue for this show.
Dante's is a shit hole in the worst part of Portland. But the Dusty 45's were great and put on a great show as usual. Billy and the boys know how to get you feeling really good and we had a great time. Gerard
You take the rock. You take the roll. Put that together, and whaddya get? The MuthaEffing Supersuckers. These guys always bring it hard and loud. Seen them almost 30 times but never at Dante's which just rocked. When are you coming back??
Awesome show all around. TKK played a lot of songs especially my favorite song After The Flesh from The Crow soundtrack for the very last encore song.
Curse Mackey, the second opener really ripped it up and very energetic for a one man band. Loved his beginning song in which he had an oriental looking guy on stage doing a deep shamanic humming sound before the song. Was really awesome!
If you have not seen them live you have missed something special. Nothing like it in music today, but my best explanation is if 50s rock n roll met Rocket From the Crypt who was dating the Murder City Devils and they all dry humped in the back alley you would have the Atom Age, but that description still does not do them justice.
First time at Dante’s for an event and this was by far The memory I would ask for. $3 pizza slices cheap watery beer and not a bad seat in the house with a group of my best friends.
