Horrendous have set the bar for any underground metal shows in my opinion. Most fun I’ve had at a show in a long time! Their energy was killer, they were super dialed in, and the mixing/sound was perfect. Usually, I can barely hear the bass guitar, but it came through great!
The greatest concert ive ever been to and probably top 3 experiences of my life. Took a girl to this concert for our first date and while we didnt end up working out because of distance i will always cherish this memory and how amazing this concert was. Got some cool pictures with mason.
The Moss never cease to amaze me! This was my second time seeing them & they did not disappoint! Although I feel the first show I saw was better only because it was at The Bottleneck in Lawrence with only 25 people, but they still put on a heck of a show! Their energy drenches you as soon as you step foot in the venue! Definitely a must see band hundo p!
Guys don’t disappoint was super packed though, I feel the venue seems a bit small for the number of people Ha-Ha Tonka racks in but Record Bar is still a great venue. Best out of the 3 Tonksgivings I’ve been to and we heard Black Betty! Awesome! Totally worth the price.
Had never really listened prior to the concert, a coworker of mine brought me along! It was absolutely amazing, walked away with a tshirt and a signed vinyl! Loved the small and close knit atmosphere!
Great venue, great concert. 77 Jefferson killed it, and hung out after their set. Awesome dudes. Kash'd Out was talking w people before their set, then brought a ton of energy. Great show, had a blast!
Upchuck the Opening band was the shit!!! Off! seemed off no pun intended I hate to say but I was bored with the new OFF! stuff, but our man Keith is a legend.
Excellent show! Thank you for coming back to KC. Loved the brass added to the ensemble and I was not expecting the length of the encore. Wow! I couldn't believe how packed it was, being a tuesday night...and you brought it.
✌💜🌀
Brilliant! As ever, one of the highest energy bands on the planet. Rocked it from the minute they hit the stage to moment they walked off. Played some new stuff and all the older fan faves.
Love seeing Black pistol fire. Lots of energy. Last minute change to the opening band, but we weren't familiar with Lillie Mae anyway, so not bothered by that. I do wish they had vinyls of the newest record available though! Small venue so even seated back a ways we had a good view.
We have enjoyed Reina’s YouTube channel very much. It was great to see her perform in person. The only negative to us was her vocals were overwhelmed by the instruments. We thought it would be acoustic like her YouTube channel and recordings.
It was out of this world! Denis got really close to crowd and got us all engaged and hyped through the entire show! The two openers were amazing as well! I could FEEL the wooden floor bow below us as the crowd moshed. 11/10
Simply speechless. My family and I were the first ones there and claimed spots in the front row. Opening band was out of this world. The band was so full of talented, pitch perfect, incredible musicians. Not only were they musically talented, but they were immensely entertaining performers as well. The perfect opening for a perfect band. I've been a huge fan of The Arcadian Wild for years. I've bought nearly everything from their store to support them. Every song of theirs has touched me, but no piece or pieces of music have touched my soul like their Principium E.P. I could write essays and novels about this E.P. alone. Their records have become very prized pieces of my vinyl collection. Their show in Columbia was the closest to my home town that I've seen them tour, so I couldn't miss it. Each member of the band was phenomenal. The vocals from Lincoln Mick and Isaac Horn were incredible as always. In pitch, in time; it sounded better than any live performance I've ever heard from any band. The amazingly talented Bailey Warren never ceases to impress audiences with her radiant voice and beautifully complex fiddle performance. And I saw a new face in the form of the band's newest upright bassist. Every time they shouted out her name, it was too loud for me to catch it, but she blew me away. Not only was her execution of these intricate basslines perfect, but she always appeared surprisingly calm and relaxed. Seeing such beautiful music performed by such talented people, each in their element and enjoying themselves to the fullest, was a treat unlike any other. And their ability to play such beautiful music was only rivaled by their ability to bring smiles to the faces of everyone in the audience. It baffled me just how likable everyone was. They told short little stories between some of the songs just to give insight and context to its composition and inspiration. Amazing people, amazing music. Running out of characters. I loved the show and I love you all.
Ridiculously talented! Great to listen to but just as great to watch their expression as they perform! Fun interactions with audience. Great choice of repertoire and order of repertoire!!! Just an all around great concert!!
Joy was great -So glad we were able to catch her at such a small venue. Her future shows will probably be larger arenas. She has an awesome band to support her.
Epic performance. Bonelang and Flobots we're both extraordinarily energetic. It was the last night of their tour and they left everything on that stage. recordBar is a little loud for my tastes, but it's a great venue with excellent sound and a good selection of drinks. Already looking forward to the next Flobots show!
Show started a few minutes late but that was because the venue and band wanted to make sure everyone was inside before they were started.
As always Koo Koo Kangaroo was full of energy. Great interaction with the fans. If you want to skip your cardio for a day, go to their show. Always fun and meet great folks.
Love you Bryan and Neil!
Intimate venue, but I love 90s KIDS. I've seen them twice now and they always go hard no matter the crowd size! Follow them everywhere and download all of their stuff. It's always so catchy!
This concert was so freakin’ rad. I had a great time seeing the guys again. It’s always a great moment when you learn that the quality of the music you love matches the quality of the humans who made it. Seriously great people and great music. The venue was fun, quirky, and snug. The openers were some of my favorites in the short time I’ve been able to go to shows. I wouldn’t trade my experience for anything. If one hasn’t had the chance to go to a Parachute concert, now is your time! GO!
Awesome show. Both openers were great, and I love they had a local gal start it off! I hope the wild reeds come back to KC soon!! Love love love how they sound live. ❤️
