I was so excited to see Lily Rose as a headliner that I traveled 3 1/2 hours for the show! Lily Rose did not disappoint! She is authentic and was genuinely moved by the exuberance of the crowd in Raleigh! Lily Rose’s performance hit a perfect mix of energy and emotion while blending her older music with the new—a truly exceptional concert experience!
I was not one for standing outside with a young crowd in the heat, but for Charles Wesley Godwin it was worth it! Great performer, much appreciation to the fact that he sounds just like his album, undeited and raw. Thank you for the experience and the memory. My daughter is a huge fun. i hope she remembers to always dance in the rain.
Amazing show. The sound was a bit muffled at the start but sounded better a couple songs in. Zero by Smashing Pumpkins was an awesome cover song, and interestingly sounded like a natural fit for the band. By the end, when they played You Are Not Alone, everyone around me was crying. It was quite moving. People left the show giving hugs to strangers...
One of my favorite albums of all time. It was a great evening.
Absolutely EPIC.
Firstly, I completely overestimated the size of the venue.
Opening DJs were great, really got everything going. And then...
There are literally no words in the entire English language that can describe the experience that I had for the next hour.
I didn't care if the place got kinda hot and sweaty, it was simply... well, EPIC.
Crankdaddy promised in his intro he'd give us all a night to remember, and I am heavily inclined to agree.
I would absolutely LOVE to do this again.
The sound for Chris’s vocals was great. His new? guitarist was just awful. His sound added nothing but noise, and was just distracting and off. He seemed to not know the songs, and I wish Chris had saved himself some money and done a solo show.
A concert I'll never forget. My children love Talk, but not nearly as much as I do. His stage presence is fantastic and you can feel the energy between sets and during. I will gladly travel to see this man play whenever he is near. Talk, I'll never forget this experience. Keep changing lives dude!!
P. S. - thanks for helping fix the marital fight, run away to Mars WAS on Grey's anatomy, says the man himself!!! 🤪
They spent the first half playing decent music but I wasnt Dead songs. They kept on talking about how they were getting to it and lamenting the fact they were going to play dead songs. When they finally played Dead they rocked it.
The show itself was great but Lincoln Theatre leaves a lot to be desired. My husband was harassed by a security guard because of where we were standing. Ironically, other people were allowed to stand in the same place for the entire show!
I’ve said this a thousand times but I’ll say it again: get yourself to a Real Friends show. Just go. Buy the ticket. Every single time I see these guys, I leave with the hugest smile that lasts for weeks. They have such good energy and seem to attract crowds of equally impeccable energy because the interaction is always so high vibe and the pits are SO MUCH FUN. Also this venue allowed stage diving and crowd surfing so that made the energy absolutely electric all night. Incredible show!
WOW! WOW!! WOW!!! First time seeing Neal play with the "full band" and it is not to be missed! Probably the best Neal Francis show I have seen, and I've seen many. So much energy, and the horns are fabulous! For not being on the road very long with the full band they are incredibly "tight!" The set list included many tunes from the first album, "Changes" and a smattering of tunes from "In Plain Sight" and "Sentimental Garbage" as well. A really solid 100 minutes of music. The sound at the Lincoln Theatre is the best sound I have heard in a venue of that size. You could hear every single note being played and sung.
I had the privilege of attending 49 Winchester’s concert last night, and it was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment the lights dimmed and the crowd's excitement reached a crescendo, it was evident that this would be a night to remember.
The atmosphere was electric as 49 took the stage, opening with Chemistry, setting the tone for an unforgettable journey through their discography. The seamless blend of musicality and showmanship captivated the audience, making every note resonate with passion and precision precision.
Once again, Lettuce hit a "grand slam" with the concert at the Lincoln Theatre in Raleigh on Sunday, 10/29/23. I mean they "BROUGHT IT!" The venue was PACKED and the band delivered a super-tight performance that left everyone there wanting more. The two set show lasted a little over two hours. Adam and Jesus were totally in the pocket with a driving force that only they know how to deliver, giving the foundation to the FUNK! "Shmeeans" ventured happily between rhythmic strumming and virtuoso solos that further amped up the energy. Ryan and "Benny" were simply fabulous! You could see just how much fun they were having throughout the show. Both are using tech that gives their acoustic instruments an ethereal texture that defies explanation, but when they played them unaltered, the raw notes pierced the soundscape to give every song that special "edge" that defines the band. Nigel played and sang his ass off, bouncing between keyboards with a fluidity that very few can do! 30+ years of playing together, and it shows. Rarely have I seen a band this TIGHT and this show was no exception. Lastly, the sound at the Lincoln Theatre is arguably the best indoor sound I have heard, and that is mostly on the guy at the soundboard. Sure, it was loud...REALLY LOUD, but you could hear EVERY note played, and easily discern individual voices and instruments, while simultaneously enjoying the collective onslaught of their vibe. If you have never seen Lettuce live, you need to! They are easily one of the BEST groups out there, regardless of genre, but none are more FUNKY!
Kes the Band and their guests brought an authentic and elevated Caribbean music to the world and Raleigh NC. The Lincoln theatre was an intimate venue that allowed the audience to get a personalized vibrant energetic performance of this talented band from Trinidad and Tobago. We danced jumped and waved as a participatory community to celebrate the one human spirit that must move when the vibes are just right. Great date night for hubby and I. Very inclusive show for all were welcome there! Don’t miss out if Kes the Band comes to your town you have to be there !
I have been waiting to see Insomnium since COVID killed their last USA tour. I was so happy to finally get to see them, the crowd was wonderful, and I had my friends with me! Thank you to both the venue and the bands for a safe and fun experience!
10/10 totally recommend, there was a dude high out of his mind in the corner but I think he got home okay. Although the event was filled with people that liked to mosh, it seemed everyone was respectful and extremely kind when someone fell, was feeling anxious.
This Wage War concert was definitely the best show I have ever been to in my life. Really nice guys and super talented. I took my 12 year son to this as his first Metal show ever and he had a blast. We didn't want the show to end. I can't wait to see them again.
The Connells put on a great show! They sound great and clearly love playing for their fans. Their new CD 'Steadman's Wake' is strong and their older songs have held up well and sound great live! See them in concert if you ever get the chance.
Excellent show. All 3 Bands that played were Awesome! Love seeing these guys and the never disappoint even after 40 years of being a Fan! It was really a special night since Kenny Soule played with JP! They totally rocked the drums!
The show was awesome. Glad I didn’t miss it, Carly looked fabulous Michael Ray was cool, Drew was awesome, Tennile was just too darn cute and What can I say about Jimmie? Jimmie is da man cooler than cool. God Bless that man. QDR did a wonderful Job and all the Band members were just as good. 5 Stars! Merry Christmas and God Bless the Children of UNC Hospitals.
Absolutely fantastic show! JJ was loose, and seemed as excited to be there as we all were. The band was amazing, too, and all played their hearts out. Loved the intimacy of the Lincoln Theater. Makes you feel involved with the band rather than just an observer. First show there for us all. Show was sold out, but it wasn’t overwhelmingly crowded. Beers were cheap for a concert venue as well.
