Crescent Ballroom

Literally one of the best nights of my entire life. Jake and Wonitta just make you feel comfortable and calm. I left feeling as if I was leaving friends behind. There was definitely a divine intervention that entire evening. God brought together so many people that night. I know I alone made 5 new friendships and can honestly say I feel I helped at least two people. We have messaged since then. There was so.much healing in that room there's no way you could doubt God's presence. I am so beyond blessed I was at this event. Thank you Jake and Wonitta for being here and spending the time with each and every one of us. You both are a gift to the world 🤟🏻

Lyn was great! Despite being sick, she gave an amazing performance. My sisters and I enjoyed it a lot. However, the mic issues were pretty bad. The first mic kept on cutting out every few seconds and wasn't loud enough. Then the second mic had issues with cutting out and being too quiet too. It was finally fixed like halfway through the show. I'm still glad I went. I had a good time. I'm just annoyed at the mic issues.

SPG was great! The sound was clear, the stage presence was everything I hoped for. It was nice to have a chair to sit in since this isn't really a dancing or moshing kind of show but the seats were so small and squished so close together! I was one of the first in, so I had a great choice in seats, but by the time the show started it was packed. Great for crowd participation and energy, sucks for breathing room. Crescent is still probably the best venue to see SPG at here in Phoenix and I'd go again even with tight seating.

I've seen Bob Log several times, the dude consistently puts on amazing shows. I love live music, have seen a ton on artists, at venues ranging from tiny to giant. Bob Log is in my top 2 for artists to see live, with the other being LCD Soundsystem. Bob works his you know what off to make sure his fans have an unforgettable time. He is incredibly talented, creative, funny, with a work ethic that just won't quit. I'll go see him every chance I get, never gets old. If you haven't seen him, and love music and fun, just go. You won't forget it and will have the best time.

So this was my first ever emo nite, and it by far exceeded my expectations!!! DJ Rio, and also Brian from the summer set? We’re both amazing!!! Plus all the staff from emo nite as well as the venue staff were all amazing too!!! I always love crescent ballroom! This healed my inner child in ways I can’t fully express! So grateful to have experienced it!!! Thanks for everything, emo nite and crescent team!!! 🤘🏻🥰❤️‍🩹🌈

Lead Singer of Catch Your Breath was a no show due to being sick. Typically a show is canceled, postponed or rescheduled if that situation arises. They really did the fans an injustice by letting the headliner play background vocals from tapes. No backup plan just random vocalists coming on stage to cover his part of singing. The band wasnt in full form and refunds should've been issued. Very disappointing. Instead all 3 bands played prior to the Headliner with no intentions of revealing that the lead Singer of Catch Your Breath wasn't gonna be performing. Very sketchy. Great show nonetheless but it should've happened on another date when the headliner was in full form.

First, every employee at the venue right down to security was absolutely amazing, polite, and helpful! The food was spectacular, and their prices are awesome! Now, to the show... I never expected in a million years that I'd get to see Zeal & Ardor in a 500 person venue. This was by far one of the most beautiful shows that I've seen and trust me, I've seen a LOT of shows. They had their own sound guy and lighting, and it was fucking brilliant from smart to finish! Thank you, Crescent Ballroom for your hospitality, and thank you Zeal & Ardor for the unforgettable evening!!!

What a night for Phx Headbangers!! Ethos was opener and just crushed the stage! And the other opening bands were terrific. But when the Creepers came on, we all knew 100% why they we were there. Start to finish total domination and skull pounding tunage!! These guys really rock. I was able to chat with the drummer while the warm up bands were on and everyone at Crescent Ballroom was great. The mosh pit was superior and there were plenty of dives! Gatecreepers played a lot of excellent music from new album and also assaulted us with their standards. Superspreader ripped! Depraved Not Deprived with audience participation, so many others—just ripped the house to shreds!! If you haven’t seen the Gatecreepers, get down to a show asap—and bring your head and bang it!!

Awesome show! Wish it lasted longer. Maybe an encore song? Or announce it as an encore song? I just can't get enough of Livingston! I'm sure you can fill bigger venues. But the intimacy of the Crescent Ballroom was really nice. Blew the top off! We drove 4 hours each way to see the concert. If he is ever in Vegas or Henderson we would come see him there too! Every time I see Mike Doughty it’s like the first time. The reason I say that is because he never performs things the same way. He’s always tinkering with his songs and changing them…sometimes on stage right before your eyes. And that’s why I’ve seen half a dozen times. I love the sheer artistry of his endeavors. For him, it’s not about creating another Super Bon Bon. It’s about creating art, something more than a poppy musical number you’ll forget in 5-10 years till the next Quentin Tarantino comes along and reminds you of the cool things you forgot about. Between Soul Coughing, his solo work and now Ghost Of Vroom, Mike Doughty has amassed a large number of amazing songs with the help Andrew “Scrap” Livingston and friends. Those songs were expertly played live by them and the rest of the band. I loved the show. He was just as good as always. And he’s such a gracious man. He really appreciates his fans.

The best thing I have ever seen, I’m still not over it, I doubt I ever will be. If you get the chance, do it, you won’t regret it, it might be the highlight of your life. In all seriousness, the venue made sure that everyone was getting water. The band is incredibly talented and has been on my must see list since their debut. The openers are wonderful and fit the vibe perfectly. The set list is consecutive bangers and the lyrical genius is entirely off the charts.

Incredibly good performance from crywank and Boy Jr, who opened. Lovejoy themselves were also very good, amazing stage presence and theyre all very talented! You can tell they enjoy what they do, it reflects in their performance. I'm not as much of a diehard fan as most people, so the loudness of the crowd both before the show started and during the show was too much for me. I'm just used to smaller shows, but also its good to keep in mind if youre sensitive to loud noise! buy earplugs :)

Incredible performance. They were so bubbly and fun on stage, are INCREDIBLE live, and have such a range of styles in their music that they somehow nail every single one of. So friendly and down to earth as well. Selfishly I hope I am able to see them at a small venue again, but they have the energy to headline at a festival and I won’t be surprised if they do in the future!

The most personal , amazing concert I have EVER been too. If you’re a fan , you need to splurge and buy these tickets for yourself. A genuine soul , a beautiful singer , and a HECK of a performer. Suki , you were amazing. If I could follow you around the world for your tour , I would have. Thank you for the experience and to the Crescent ballroom for hosting !!!

Its was my second concert with rivers of nihil. The first one was in may. I had a blast and there live performance was amazing. It was just a lively show and the music was so good the live performance just hit me differently as well the band was nothing but amazing in sound and performance i give it a 5 out of 5 i can't wait for them to be back in AZ.

Mesmerizing! 💖 Absolutely loved hearing the vocals live; such a haunting and beautiful voice. Loved their stage energy, and the venue was cozy. I only wish the vocals were a little bit louder in comparison to the drums (but then again, I had to stand right by the drum side of the stage). Definitely coming to see Blood Cultures again when possible; left after buying both shirts haha 💕 Would absolutely love to purchase a signed shirt one day!

“RUSSIAN CIRCLES” at the Crescent Ballroom last evening was a 90-minute, wall-of-sound filled ecstasy, their 3-man, Post Metal/Post Rock exulting the filled-to-capacity crowd. “REZN” led them into the evening, their Heavy Pysch and vocals only used onomatopoetically which served their music to the fullest. Both Chicago bands were in their element and left the crowd clambering for more, and there definitely IS an advantage in showing up early and getting the best and only spot for venues as this – right in front of the stage, as my photos indicate. Apart from the 'Russian Circles' tour photographer near-constantly pushing in or trickily taking shots over my shoulder, the happily jiving mob behind me were inadvertently crashing into me during half the set. Ear plugs are a pure necessity when standing this close to the music and its useful to briefly remove them occasionally to truly experience their sound. The physical air displacement from the massive speakers is another unmissable dimension.

Failure never, EVER disappoints. They’ve often been like a musical secret handshake, the one band that if name-dropped into a conversation about musical influences or inspirations is instantly validating and lends credibility to an individual. Surprisingly, thirty years later, many have still not learned of Failure which is alright, too, because then a conversation can become “Oh let me TELL you about Failure…” Their live shows have sound that is so well dialed in that you can hear every nuance and detail, every layer, and for a three-piece band that’s surprisingly much more than you might anticipate. Failure continues to astound and conjure sonic magic on their current tour supporting the album Wild Type Droid and they simply don’t show any signs of slowing down or sounding any lesser than past tours. In many ways, Sunday’s concert at Crescent Ballroom showed how a band can only sound better with time. A rare feat in this day and age, to be sure.

Really enjoyed the show, a nice balance of new and old music, with a cordial Steve Kilby fronting the band. The dual guitarists along with Kilby make the signiature sound of the band. Yes the drummer is new, and he did an admirable job, I'm sure he'll work into the groove more over time. I'm just glad to see this band so far down the line, their melodic dynamism thrills me to the core! The venue was alright, too!

This was my second time seeing Leprous live in Phoenix. Truly quality group. I was iffy about the venue but the sound was great and the guys put on a fantastic set. I was originally excited to see Haken too but Leprous stole the show, hands down (even though the choice of cover at the end of their set was a little weird). Their opener Bent Knee was also really unique and interesting.
