I love The Acacia Strain. This show was something different but I still had a good time! It’s nice to change the vibe up every now and again. They also have a sick merch lineup this tour. Make sure you snag some of the merch because it’s going fast and they’re sold out of most everything in a size small haha!

Every time I see Mike Doughty it’s like the first time. The reason I say that is because he never performs things the same way. He’s always tinkering with his songs and changing them…sometimes on stage right before your eyes. And that’s why I’ve seen half a dozen times. I love the sheer artistry of his endeavors. For him, it’s not about creating another Super Bon Bon. It’s about creating art, something more than a poppy musical number you’ll forget in 5-10 years till the next Quentin Tarantino comes along and reminds you of the cool things you forgot about. Between Soul Coughing, his solo work and now Ghost Of Vroom, Mike Doughty has amassed a large number of amazing songs with the help Andrew “Scrap” Livingston and friends. Those songs were expertly played live by them and the rest of the band. I loved the show. He was just as good as always. And he’s such a gracious man. He really appreciates his fans.

Great band! Put on a good show. My only complaint is that he only sang every other line because Julian would hold out the mic for the audience to sing. I don’t mind that every once in while but it was literally every other line. I didn’t hear him sing an entire song without doing that

The best thing I have ever seen, I’m still not over it, I doubt I ever will be. If you get the chance, do it, you won’t regret it, it might be the highlight of your life. In all seriousness, the venue made sure that everyone was getting water. The band is incredibly talented and has been on my must see list since their debut. The openers are wonderful and fit the vibe perfectly. The set list is consecutive bangers and the lyrical genius is entirely off the charts.

Incredibly good performance from crywank and Boy Jr, who opened. Lovejoy themselves were also very good, amazing stage presence and theyre all very talented! You can tell they enjoy what they do, it reflects in their performance. I'm not as much of a diehard fan as most people, so the loudness of the crowd both before the show started and during the show was too much for me. I'm just used to smaller shows, but also its good to keep in mind if youre sensitive to loud noise! buy earplugs :)

Incredible performance. They were so bubbly and fun on stage, are INCREDIBLE live, and have such a range of styles in their music that they somehow nail every single one of. So friendly and down to earth as well. Selfishly I hope I am able to see them at a small venue again, but they have the energy to headline at a festival and I won’t be surprised if they do in the future!

The most personal , amazing concert I have EVER been too. If you’re a fan , you need to splurge and buy these tickets for yourself. A genuine soul , a beautiful singer , and a HECK of a performer. Suki , you were amazing. If I could follow you around the world for your tour , I would have. Thank you for the experience and to the Crescent ballroom for hosting !!!

Margo focused on her latest album with a few gems from the rest of her catalog and some smart covers. Crescent Ballroom is an intimate 600 person venue (our first visit and we will be back). Loved the show! I have followed Margo since 2016 and I love her evolution as an artist.

Its was my second concert with rivers of nihil. The first one was in may. I had a blast and there live performance was amazing. It was just a lively show and the music was so good the live performance just hit me differently as well the band was nothing but amazing in sound and performance i give it a 5 out of 5 i can't wait for them to be back in AZ.

Mesmerizing! 💖 Absolutely loved hearing the vocals live; such a haunting and beautiful voice. Loved their stage energy, and the venue was cozy. I only wish the vocals were a little bit louder in comparison to the drums (but then again, I had to stand right by the drum side of the stage). Definitely coming to see Blood Cultures again when possible; left after buying both shirts haha 💕 Would absolutely love to purchase a signed shirt one day!

“RUSSIAN CIRCLES” at the Crescent Ballroom last evening was a 90-minute, wall-of-sound filled ecstasy, their 3-man, Post Metal/Post Rock exulting the filled-to-capacity crowd. “REZN” led them into the evening, their Heavy Pysch and vocals only used onomatopoetically which served their music to the fullest. Both Chicago bands were in their element and left the crowd clambering for more, and there definitely IS an advantage in showing up early and getting the best and only spot for venues as this – right in front of the stage, as my photos indicate. Apart from the 'Russian Circles' tour photographer near-constantly pushing in or trickily taking shots over my shoulder, the happily jiving mob behind me were inadvertently crashing into me during half the set. Ear plugs are a pure necessity when standing this close to the music and its useful to briefly remove them occasionally to truly experience their sound. The physical air displacement from the massive speakers is another unmissable dimension.

Failure never, EVER disappoints. They’ve often been like a musical secret handshake, the one band that if name-dropped into a conversation about musical influences or inspirations is instantly validating and lends credibility to an individual. Surprisingly, thirty years later, many have still not learned of Failure which is alright, too, because then a conversation can become “Oh let me TELL you about Failure…” Their live shows have sound that is so well dialed in that you can hear every nuance and detail, every layer, and for a three-piece band that’s surprisingly much more than you might anticipate. Failure continues to astound and conjure sonic magic on their current tour supporting the album Wild Type Droid and they simply don’t show any signs of slowing down or sounding any lesser than past tours. In many ways, Sunday’s concert at Crescent Ballroom showed how a band can only sound better with time. A rare feat in this day and age, to be sure.

Really enjoyed the show, a nice balance of new and old music, with a cordial Steve Kilby fronting the band. The dual guitarists along with Kilby make the signiature sound of the band. Yes the drummer is new, and he did an admirable job, I'm sure he'll work into the groove more over time. I'm just glad to see this band so far down the line, their melodic dynamism thrills me to the core! The venue was alright, too!

it was awesome i love 10 years really good set list jessie the lead singer is really engaging with the crowd! my favorite thing is towards the end of the show said if u don’t now this song you are at the wrong concert!! if i need to metion the then don’t read this post!

One of the absolute kindest souls!! He opened for Tate Mcrae and was so amazing!! I didn’t know who he was but now he’s all over my playlists! The whole crowd fell in love with him and he even took time after the show to meet ppl!! Cant wait to see him on his own tour someday🤍

AMAZING!!! 1000/10!! She’s the sweetest human being ever and her openers, Gavin and Mimi, were as well!! One of the best concerts i’ve been to and because it was a small venue she was so intimate with us and she even played an unreleased song! Cant wait to see her again when she comes back ❤️

True Metal. Not convoluted or stupid. Final encour a tribute to Mr. RHODES. The SWORD had Zombies bassist rip the intro on keys to Mr. CROWLEY. Excellent job and made most people grin ear to ear. One of the best concerts to hit Phoenix in 2022. Get off your ass and go see them.

CHELSEA WOLFE!!! Me and my Dark Goddess, Kristen were anointed by the one and only Chelsea Wolfe tonight! A truly majikal experience was had as she blessed us with acoustic elixir and Ben Chisholm painted an undercoat of sonic quiescence and wild fury throughout! Ave! This was the best night ever!!! I haven't had any good things in my life for a while. This was just what I needed to believe in myself again. I got to see a great band I love playing amazing music, and to see my idol play. It is a fuking incredible and inspiring night to remember. Thank you so much the opportunity and great memories ! ! ! ! ! ❤️💓💕💖

This was my second time seeing Leprous live in Phoenix. Truly quality group. I was iffy about the venue but the sound was great and the guys put on a fantastic set. I was originally excited to see Haken too but Leprous stole the show, hands down (even though the choice of cover at the end of their set was a little weird). Their opener Bent Knee was also really unique and interesting.
