Fabulous night of kickass DSD's own unique brand of sound and songwriting, fronted amazingly by lead singer Jessica. And the Biltmore Cabaret is a very cool, smaller venue (est. several hundred, tops?) with not a single bad sightline. Lucky to have been about three deep from the stage!
I wasn't sure what a live podcast was going to be like, but my partner and I had a great time! Gianmarco, Russel and Erica were super funny. I would love to see another one of their shows next time they're in town.
What an incredible evening! Despite playing a solo set, it still sounded like a full band was present. A perfect blend of roots reggae, acoustic pop andother genres. What a gifted musician: incredible guitar work, amazing voice and inspiring lyrics. Positive vibes. 🔥 Can't wait to see him again.
The band was fantastic. I was at the early entry VIP session and really enjoyed the time to chat with Josh and Allison. They are really nice, chatted briefly about their time in Europe and the "glamor" of being on the road. Did a couple of songs for us up close and personal, then signed some merchandise. The only detraction from the experience was the staff loudly filling ice bins with pails of ice while we were listening to them talk and do their songs.
The Biltmore....the seating of course has no views, and initially they indicated seats would not be set up. So we all assumed our positions on the floor, then as the place was filling they decided they WOULD bring chairs down, so then there was mass confusion as some people got their own chairs while some waited. We ended up being pushed well out of the initial near front position we'd taken as early arrivers. The show was amazing, the venue needs to get organized.
Fantastic show! Such reverence emitted by the audience, completely rapt during the singing and joyous in applause!
No drummer! All the guitarists were phenomenal and generous with one another! And Kathleen Edward’s singing and wry patter was perfect!
Standing in a mass, craning to see, wonderful audience. It was a lovely evening!
BEST FREAKIN CONCERT OF MY LIFE. This kid is the real deal, whole package, and gave us the most intense and personal concert. Talent dripping out his pores! Interactive, honest, and the nicest person too. If you hear him live once- you will be a fan for life!!!
The venue is not a good place to see a band as the stage is very low only people in the front of the band can see everyone else sees nada. It was disappointing because I wanted to watch her play the guitar as she's an amazing guitarist. Extremely low ceiling made it seem we were in a basement!
She is so funny and she speaks for us sleepy queens!!! She will be a superstar! I can’t wait for everyone to see her and I will be cheering her on all the way!! I can’t wait to see what exciting things are in her future!
HARBOUR absolutely delivers. The show was electric and they have an incredible stage presence. The venue was super intimate and they rocked the roof off! If you're on the fence, or even if you've never heard of them, you won't regret it.
Didn't know either of these artists, but was looking for something to do tonight. Cat was amazing, beautiful music. Only complaint was the set was too short - easily could have listened for another 30 mins at least. Oh well, she's about to become a regular on my spotify, so plenty more to listen to.
These guys are terrific live. I like the album, but seeing them live is on another level. Kind of like the experience I had many years ago with the Tragically Hip, and more recently with Portugal. the Man. Album good, live show great.
Music was amazing, but the venue is very cramped. Unless you made it to the first few lines of folks in front of the stage, you can’t see a thing.
Really too bad since you feel disconnected. But Haley is incredible and I will go to any show of hers.
The artist was great, but the venue’s sound system was bad - the speaker on stage right made the lower ends of the music sound terrible and you could tell everyone on that side of the audience was having a hard time avoiding hearing damage.
They played the new album front to back, was pretty cool and a good crowd. After that they played a few of their older songs and that's where it kicked into a higher gear. Good energy from the crowd, but it was unfortunately cut short as there was a Halloween party starting at 10:30 and they got booted off the stage by the Biltmore staff. So, I think there could have been some better planning so they could finish their set. It was pretty anticlimactic.
The lead singer has great stage presence and interacts with the audience in a fun and intimate way, I was a bit mesmerized by his performance. The others were not as comfortable on stage it seemed like, but their music is fantastic and blends so many great genres and styles that no song sounds the same. I will continue to follow them and I hope I get to see how they all grow and evolve over time.
Covet is one of those bands that make the world an incredibly better place within mere seconds of listening to any song of theirs.
And their live performances are nothing short of mind-blowing, fun and musically virtuose. Enough to brighten your days weeks after the show.
Hikes deliver some unreal guitar, bass and drums on their own too, it's incredible how perfectly they can play their songs live.
Such a great night, I loved the aesthetic of the venue and the way it was set up. My only complaint was Jesse could only perform so long before they opened their nightclub for everyone for the night. So it felt rushed and I felt bad for my boys. But overall an incredible performance and I even got to meet Jesse, goody and hearts <3 (as well as THE Rock and Roll DJ himself, obvi).
It was great! Northlane really stole the show, Erra were great too with the vocalist performing despite being very sick, what a warrior! My only complaint was the sound was so bad for Erra in particular, perhaps the sound guy, maybe the acoustics of the venue.
Fucking incredible show. Vic City Soldiers, Franks, Orion, Whitelight, Dinunzio Brothers, then the main act just made my night. Worth every cent.
Only shitty thing is the lack of merch. I get it, the end of the tour, but you should know you have shittons of fans lol
