I loved it so much. Henry is my favourite singer of the entire world so it was really special and I loved meeting him. I love all of his songs and the songs he plays in the show were amazing and he played my favorite so yeah I wish it was longer. I think it’s my favourite concert I have ever been to. It was memorable. Love the atmosphere love everything about the concert. And I will definitely see Henry again. ❤️🎶🎤🌈

A Warm Room in a Cold City Moondoggy’s twangy indie set brings heat and heart to a stormy Chicago Outside concert venue and neighborhood gem, Beat Kitchen, Chicago was experiencing its annual “second winter,” a late-season surprise where a random Thursday in March (or April) is subject to freezing rain, tornado watches, blustering winds and the drag of winter refusing to quit. Inside, though, was a packed room and a crowd hootin’, and holllerin’, making great use of warmth that could have been rerouted straight back into the storm outside. Onstage, indie up-and-comer Moondoggy was ripping a set of twangy, guitar-driven bangers that somehow felt both boisterous and deeply cozy. Balancing the classic, carefree energy of an indie rock show with an injection of intimacy, the singer smiled into the mic in complete earnest, “this is the best show we have ever played.” High-energy and loose but also intimate and deliberate, Moondoggy’s current moment is like finding an oasis at a party complete with the cute, softspoken wallflower boy crooning behind an acoustic. OH MY GODDDD !!! It was amazing that I never knew thar the vibe was "calm" but also vibing with romy felt nice because everyone was really nice and understood that I wanted to be closer to the front. I thought that everyone would be mean and push when a h******e song was playing but nah really nice I definitely go to another one.

This is a must see not just for Starset fans but for any music fans. The venue was very small and intimate. Guessing maybe 300 people in attendance. I was able to stand about 5 feet from the band. The music was an awesome acoustic slant on some of their best songs, but the band’s interactions and conversations with the fans throughout the show were even better. Taking photos individually and talking with every fan after the show was amazing. Super cool, just regular people who you can tell enjoy interacting with their fans. Huge props to them for doing these shows. With crowds this small they clearly aren’t doing this as a big money maker, you really sense that they just enjoy being out amongst the fans. Thanks for doing this guys, I’ll go to any AE event I can in the future.

Great show at an intimate venue. Great energy, talented singer and guitarist, channeling synth pop and dark wave vibes. Very personable after the show too, we had a nice chat about how his hit "Lonely City" was actually written before the pandemic, but was released right when we all got stuck at home.

The Beat Kitchen is always a great venue, the room is intimate, the sound is great and the vibes are always immaculate. stop.drop.rewind put on a great show. They won over a room full of folks there to see the next band and created a lot of new fans that night. As someone who's been listening to them for a while, this first live experience is a guarantee that I will be back to see them next time they're in Chicago.

I really liked how intimate this show was! Landon and his band sounded awesome and major credit to the Beat Kitchen for the clarity of their sound. Landon had two opening acts which were good, but I feel like there could have been just one opening act. I really liked the ambiance of the Beat Kitchen and I look forward to going back soon for another show!

Cricket! The Guy gave us a wonderfully energetic opening, The Last Arizoba was very welcoming and made a great opening for June Henry himself! June's set was really funny and heart-filled, she engaged a lot with the fans and was very excited to be there, obviously! The person at the door of Beat Kitchen was very nice, they offered free water and held onto my belongings. The band members themselves were extremely down-to-earth and fun to talk to- I'm happy to say this was my first concert I've attended solo and I'm glad it was to see June Henry at this wonderful venue! June, if you see this, good luck on tour!!!

This was my 5th Meg show since 2013, and it was the smallest most intimate show yet (only about 200 people). Loved to see her acoustic, and I was right up front so had a great view. Her songs/lyrics seem way more personal than most singers so awesome to see her with only an acoustic guitar and piano. Great show!

Fun, energetic show. This band is loaded with talent and had the audience engaged from start to finish. The crowd was age-diverse with parents bringing kids and tweens, all the way up to a handful of elders! It was fun to see them up close and personal at an intimate venue like Beat Kitchen.

Everything from the burgers to the magic show to the concert was an experience I’m sure some fans missed out on. That 1 Guy never fails to impress me with his incredible talent and interaction with the crowd. The sound was great. Kiddos the the folks running the soundboard. The blending of music and visual effects is always impressive. Definitely looking forward to the next time he’s in Chicago at the Beat Kitchen!

Awesome venue. Awesome event. Awesome staff. For some reason, it will only let me give 4 1/2 stars and not 5. Let it be clear, I give it FIVE STARS!!! Great location to see a show. First time there, won’t be my last, I’m sure and I’m from Detroit. Not Chicago, lol.

Such a great show! The crowd varied in age and gender, and was really into it. We need real rock and roll like this again, where influences are recognized but the sound is modern. Poison Boys and The Knee-Hi's were very cool support acts. Can't wait for Kate to come back to town!

Drug Church is not what you expect when you hear their name. Their live show is what you hear when you listen to their albums, but with the intensity amplified by 1,000. The openers were great, the club was great. This made my top 5 shows of the hundreds I’ve been to.

It was amazing ❤️❤️ From the moment we arrived we were greeted with a warm welcome. Their Music is the best ☺️. The guys were super awesome that they even gave a pair of drumsticks and let me sign their snare drum 🥁 ❤️ and let’s not forget that they let us take a pic with them 😎😎. Definitely looking forward to the next time they come to Chicago 🔥🦁

Fantastic show. Had a lot of fun. Pacific Dub is a great grooving melodic pop reggae band. I especially enjoyed their brief tease of “California Love” during their set 😎. Would love to see them perform again. You can’t help but dance when they are playing. The opening local band from Chicago called The Bank Notes was also a phenomenal unexpected surprise of the night. They seem to still be defining their sound. Personally I think some horns would take their sound through the stratosphere. Very talented and very energetic group.

It was a hell of a show at the Beat Kitchen last night! Jakob’s stage presence is as big as his voice. The band jammed flawlessly and it’s very apparent that they actually enjoy each other and what they’re doing. Not surprisingly, the entire band sounds better live than on record, but there’s really only one way to find that out for yourself.

Hmmmmmmm.... fantastic show. Lex was dope.. MC was spot on.. we always do what we can to support the scene.. .. but were asked constantly to donate and buy stuff. We bought a shirt and donated some flowers. Just a weird thing to be asked to give/donate more while chillin' after the show.

Amazing show overall!!! First time seeing Tropidelic and Bumpin' Uglies live. The horn section of Tropidelic was truly off the hook. Both of those guys were feeling the flow and pumping the crowd up with their funky dance grooves all night. Ballyhoo! was awesome, as always. They played a lot of their older stuff, which was cool. Also an old school Green Day cover, which brought the house down. Would recommend all of these bands to anyone who enjoys good music and good vibrations 😎
