The best show I’ve seen in a long long long time. The boys were incredible!!! They sound just the same live and I absolutely loved the way they altered some the songs just a bit for the live show. 11/10.
Could not hold my own during the hood my own set. Left w a black eye but it was well worth it. Just wish I could have bought some of the domain merch before I had to go to the hospital lol
This was my 5th Meg show since 2013, and it was the smallest most intimate show yet (only about 200 people). Loved to see her acoustic, and I was right up front so had a great view. Her songs/lyrics seem way more personal than most singers so awesome to see her with only an acoustic guitar and piano. Great show!
Elvis 2.0? Voice was as good as the produced music! Definitely catching these guys again, and please make a vinyl with that upcoming EP!! Also, The Weekend Run Club and Capital Soirée rocked it out. All-in-all, a great night of live music!
Fun, energetic show. This band is loaded with talent and had the audience engaged from start to finish. The crowd was age-diverse with parents bringing kids and tweens, all the way up to a handful of elders! It was fun to see them up close and personal at an intimate venue like Beat Kitchen.
Everything from the burgers to the magic show to the concert was an experience I’m sure some fans missed out on.
That 1 Guy never fails to impress me with his incredible talent and interaction with the crowd.
The sound was great. Kiddos the the folks running the soundboard.
The blending of music and visual effects is always impressive.
Definitely looking forward to the next time he’s in Chicago at the Beat Kitchen!
I've seen them live before and they are fantastic. If this was anyone's first time seeing them please give them another chance because i know there were tech issues last night but i promise you they are fantastic and I'm so glad i got to see them a second time.
Awesome venue. Awesome event. Awesome staff. For some reason, it will only let me give 4 1/2 stars and not 5. Let it be clear, I give it FIVE STARS!!! Great location to see a show. First time there, won’t be my last, I’m sure and I’m from Detroit. Not Chicago, lol.
I discovered these guys few hours before the show...met them and told them the song I liked (Drive) and they added to the set. I was beyond blown away, I really enjoyed their sound and performance. Try these guys out, you'll be happy that you did
Such a great show! The crowd varied in age and gender, and was really into it. We need real rock and roll like this again, where influences are recognized but the sound is modern. Poison Boys and The Knee-Hi's were very cool support acts. Can't wait for Kate to come back to town!
Beat kitchen is a great intimate venue. Openers were diverse in a good way. Point North absolutely crushed it though. We saw nothing nowhere back in September and Point North put them to shame with their cover of Hammer. Better energy, amazing vibe from the show
Drug Church is not what you expect when you hear their name. Their live show is what you hear when you listen to their albums, but with the intensity amplified by 1,000. The openers were great, the club was great. This made my top 5 shows of the hundreds I’ve been to.
On 12/2/2021 or as I like to call it, one of the best days of my life, I had the privilege of attending my very first concert. I went to go see Fly by Midnight at Beat Kitchen in Chicago, IL for their Sliver Crane album show. All of my friends knew about my infatuation with the band, due to my annoying habit of gushing about their music all the time. So when the day finally came, I felt both nervous and excited to go see one of my favorite duo bands. Brynn Elliott did an awesome job opening up for Fly by Midnight and my favorite part of her performance when she performed time of our lives and she killed it!!Suddenly, the color lights began to flash, the audience’s excited screams began to escalate, and before I knew it, the entire band of Fly by Midnight took their place on stage and commenced the best concert I’ve ever been to. I couldn’t believe that I was finally listening to them live, it felt like a dream. Hit after hit, they played all of my favorite songs. Every lyric of every single song was sung right back to Justin and Slavo sang them out. They began to play their first song called “6am” and it was evident that everyone was hooked from the moment the first chord was released into the audience. But my favorite part of the entire concert was toward the end, when they began to perform their last song of the concert called, “no choice” and and they finished it off with a bang!! Seeing you guys performing live for the first time made my heart swell. It is my first ever concert I ever went to and I enjoy myself and it was great meeting you guys for the very first time and you guys are very down to earth people and very kind. Being surrounded by people who felt the same love and admiration made me feel like I was a part of something. So thank you again. Thank you guys for being you and for sharing your talent with the world. Thank you guys for being kind.
I WAS RIGHT UNDER HIS NOSE!! SO CLOSE TO THE STAGE. MADE EYE CONTACT W SCOTTY A BUNCH OF TIMES!! I HAD AN AMAZING TIME! I DO NOT REGRET SPENDING THE WEEKEND BEFORE FINALS AT A DIFFERENT STATE TO ATTEND THIS SHOW.
It was amazing ❤️❤️ From the moment we arrived we were greeted with a warm welcome. Their Music is the best ☺️. The guys were super awesome that they even gave a pair of drumsticks and let me sign their snare drum 🥁 ❤️ and let’s not forget that they let us take a pic with them 😎😎. Definitely looking forward to the next time they come to Chicago 🔥🦁
Fantastic show. Had a lot of fun. Pacific Dub is a great grooving melodic pop reggae band. I especially enjoyed their brief tease of “California Love” during their set 😎. Would love to see them perform again. You can’t help but dance when they are playing.
The opening local band from Chicago called The Bank Notes was also a phenomenal unexpected surprise of the night. They seem to still be defining their sound. Personally I think some horns would take their sound through the stratosphere. Very talented and very energetic group.
It was a hell of a show at the Beat Kitchen last night! Jakob’s stage presence is as big as his voice. The band jammed flawlessly and it’s very apparent that they actually enjoy each other and what they’re doing. Not surprisingly, the entire band sounds better live than on record, but there’s really only one way to find that out for yourself.
Tessa was amazing and brought a lot of energy to the stage, two of my friends who were unfamiliar with her music really enjoyed her performance. Chloe Moriondo opened for her and did such a great job too. Highly recommend seeing Tessa.
Hmmmmmmm.... fantastic show. Lex was dope.. MC was spot on.. we always do what we can to support the scene.. .. but were asked constantly to donate and buy stuff. We bought a shirt and donated some flowers. Just a weird thing to be asked to give/donate more while chillin' after the show.
Amazing show overall!!! First time seeing Tropidelic and Bumpin' Uglies live. The horn section of Tropidelic was truly off the hook. Both of those guys were feeling the flow and pumping the crowd up with their funky dance grooves all night.
Ballyhoo! was awesome, as always. They played a lot of their older stuff, which was cool. Also an old school Green Day cover, which brought the house down.
Would recommend all of these bands to anyone who enjoys good music and good vibrations 😎
